Property type cabin
Minimum Stay 2 nights

About the property

3 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, Sleeps 6-10

This three bedroom, two bath house will accommodate up to 8-10 guests. Split over two levels, you can have as much togetherness or privacy as you choose. The upstairs, main living level, features a fully appointed kitchen and eat-in area plus two bedrooms and a living room. The first bedroom has a king size bed, and the second bedroom features a queen size bed plus a full size futon. The upstairs porch is reminiscent of a tree-house, nested among the branches of the mature trees. We love to eat out there on the long picnic table or just relax with a good book. Downstairs you'll find a second living area with queen-size pullout couch, dart board, pub table and tiki-bar! This space overlooks a second patio where you can play cards at the table, swing in the hammock or take a dip in the hottub. There is a third bedroom downstairs with a queen size bed. There are full laundry facilities so you can dry your towels after your big day on the lake. There are three pet/child gates in the house so you can block off the upstairs deck and inside stairwell. We also have a pack-and-play onsite for your use as well. We have free wireless internet for your use, dishnetwork satellite tv and an xbox and playstation for your entertainment.

About Jennifer

We live in Nashville, TN with our three kids and our two dogs. We love to travel, and hit the road as frequently as possible. When we are at the lake, most days you'll find us on the water, hiking or enjoying the old barns and rural scenery during colder months.

Jennifer purchased this cabin in 2006

Why Jennifer chose Tennessee

We may live in Nashville, but our hearts reside at Dale Hollow. After vacationing at the lake dozens of times we decided to invest in a place of our own. We rented many houses in the area, but always found we were looking for something more. We designed our house the way we like to vacation, and we hope it will meet your needs as well. As our family has grown, so have the accommodations because we use the house too!

What makes this cabin unique

We looked at many houses in the area and settled on this one because of it's proximity to the water (less than 1 mile to having the boat in the lake!) and the built-in tiki-bar. We long to escape the hassles of everyday life and the 'margaritaville' theme immediately puts us in the mood to relax - all we're missing is the sand under our toes...

Christmas memory to last a Lifetime!!

  • 5 of 5

I wanted to do something different for my nieces and nephews this year since I am getting married and moving to Florida! The photos on the website did not do this cabin any justice! Extremely beautiful on the inside! The cable hook up and wifi was also an added touch.

The kids took the bottom floor while me and my sisters took the main floor. Every night we make virgin margaritas in the tiki bar area while they took turns playing games on the XBox. The loved the fact that they has their own private area to bond and sit out on the deck at night. One of their personal spot was in the hot tub!

The stillness of the mornings is what I looked forward to every morning before the rest of the gang woke up. Sitting on the deck and watching the leaves rustle in the trees while I enjoyed a cup of coffee was the absolute highlight for me.

All in all, this cabin is a must stay for any family!!!

Perfect Getaway

  • 5 of 5

I rented this cabin as a meeting point for a few old college friends who now live spread across the country. The kitchen was well supplied, the porch was lovely, the tiki bar was exceptional (especially since we have a craft cocktail connoisseur in our group), the beds were comfy, and the hot tub was wonderfully relaxing. I can't recommend this place enough for large groups wanting to find a secluded cabin. Check-in and check-out were very simple and working with the owner was a delight. Positive experience all around.

Nice and secluded

  • 5 of 5

Very nice house , perfect for our adult family of 4 and our dog. Well stocked kitchen all you need was food. The hot tub was a perfect way to end each evening after a day of hiking. Just a few minutes away from the boat launch.

We did kill some bigger spiders in the basement, but they tend to move inside this time of year.

The upstairs bath could use a little attention, I noticed some paint peeling at the ceiling and the towel bar was broken hiding under the sink. .the wifi and satellite tv worked fine.

I appreciated that the lights were left on when we first arrived as it's really dark out - no street lights here.

Jennifer was great to work with, she responded quickly to my inquiries.

We had a wonderful time. The cabin is well thought out.

  • 4 of 5

The location was great. Just a short drive to the marina and beach. The kitchen had so many dishes and pans. It was very well stocked. Would have loved to had a dish rag. There was a sponge. The basement room was great. The bar with an ice machine and the tv and lights. Well thought out. Great time. The covered deck is where we spent a lot of time. Loved it.

Owner's Response: I'm glad you enjoyed yourself. There are suppposed to be dishcloths and hand towels for the bathroom. I'm sorry that they weren't left out, and I'll remind our housekeeper for the future.

Quiet retreat

  • 3 of 5

The house is well equipped and the interior nice and clean. A few problems (the hot tub took two days to come up to hot-tub temperature), and the featherbed mattress topper was very prickly! Also the lower deck area was full of cobwebs. We could not get the CD player to play CD's, and the bedroom lamp had no switch, so had to be unplugged and plugged in at the wall!). The owner requires a $59 insurance policy in addition to the damage deposit. The setting is very nice - peaceful, quiet and relaxing.

Owner's Response: We try to make every stay as pleasant as possible for our guests. This time of year, when the house isn't being used every day the hot tub does cycle into an economy mode and maintain a lower temperature to save energy. It usually maintains around 85 degrees so that it can easily cycle up to 100+ versus completely cooling to outside air temperature. I worked with this guest and gave them guidance on how to get it working again. When it didn't happen on the first attempt we offered to have someone come to the house to fix it for them, but after following the suggestions it did cycle out of the economy mode and heat appropriately. We appreciate feedback during your stay so that we can do our best to make it right. Since we aren't resident-owners, we need to know if the CD player quits working or the lamp switch is lost, for example. We will work to correct those issues as quickly as possible.
