This luxury town house, stylishly decorated with Laura Ashley fabrics, can be found in the prestigious 'Green Club’, adjacent to Islantilla Golf Club (rated Top 100 Best Courses in Europe by Golf Digest) with its 27 holes. It is a peaceful & secure gated complex with a stunning pool and own parking. We have an individual internet connection so no need to worry about a weak signal in high season.The property consists of a lounge/dining room with open fire, leading out onto a secluded private patio and lawned garden, fully equipped kitchen & utility room WC,2 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms,2 of which have balconies overlooking pool and beautifully maintained luscious gardens. All rooms have ceiling fans( except one with sloping ceiling which has free-standing fan) and radiators .2 min. walk to Golf Club,1 min walk to supermarket, 13 min walk to long sandy beach, shops & restaurants, & 6 other championship golf courses within 25min drive. Seville just 1hr 20min by car & 30min from the Algarve. Two spas are available just a few minutes walk away

We recommend hiring a car,but airport transfers can be arranged.The area offers alot for those wishing to venture a little further afield- the Sierra de Aracena with its typical little pretty white villages, its cave and famous for its cured ham 'jamon de jabugo.'The Doñana National Park,the biggest ecological reserve in Europe,a cruise on the Guadiana river,the natural frontier between Spain and Portugal,a trip to Gibraltar(passports required!),a visit to Palos de la Frontera to see the replicas of Christopher Columbus' flag ships and the La Rabida monastery. Owing to Islantilla's proximity to Portugal,it makes it an ideal base to explore the Algarve.Well worth visiting are Villa Real San Antonio,a very Portuguese little market town with some interesting shops famous for linens and towels,the beautiful unspoilt and traffic-free island of Tavira,reached by a little shuttle boat,the old town of Lagos and Vilamoura with its chic marina.Huelva itself also offers good shopping.

The stunningly beautiful city of Seville is a must for all lovers of history and culture and having made it my home for the last 19 years,I'm only too happy to provide guests with all the necessary information.And for the children,don't miss a trip to Seville's themepark 'Isla Màgica.'

The Huelva region is noted for its gastronomy,with its famous 'jamon', and white prawns and all varieties of freshly caught fish.You can watch the local fishermen in La Antilla,just next to Islantilla and even join them for a day's fishing trip.

We like to have a personal contact with our guests and to show them around the property, however, in the event of this not being possible, our property manager will hand over the keys. She speaks English and Spanish and is on 24 hr. call. Please note however that a call-out fee will be applied and charged to guests.

Why Alicia Pearson and Jaime Donaire chose Costa de la Luz - Huelva

We just loved these beautiful gardens and pool the first time we went to look round. We wanted somewhere that's peaceful and with plenty of greenery. The property's orientation was also important to us,given that the summer months can get very hot. As we get the sun late afternoon,the house stays quite cool.

What makes this house unique

This is one of the nearest properties to the beach in the "Golf"area of Islantilla and is also right next to the golf club,meaning that golfers needn't carry their clubs too far!

Having a child ourselves we know how difficult it can be when travelling with little ones so we try to offer as many baby/child facilities as possible.

Both double beds have very comfortable viscoelastic mattresses and are King size.

Lovely Family Holiday

The property is lovely, well kept and has everything you could possibly want (including toys and games for the kids). The house is clean and fully equipped. Close to the pool and the complex is close to the beach and restaurants. We went out of season which was perfect for us, everywhere was nice and quiet. Will definitely be returning and certainly would reccomend to a friend.

Férias muito agradáveis.

Uma casa que serviu todas as nossas necessidades, nestas férias em família (3 gerações). Inserida num condomínio fechado e a literalmente a 10 MTS da piscina do mesmo, permitiu estar no terraço da vivenda enquanto as crianças brincam na relva. Casa equipada, pecando apenas pela falta de Wi-Fi. Tem um lugar de estacionamento á porta. 1km até a praia. A casa distribui-se por 3 pisos.

A little piece of heaven in the South of Spain!

A little piece of heaven in the South of Spain

I was just thinking about the wonderful summer we had is Ireland this year with lovely sunny days and balmy evenings but the highlight was a trip to the south of Spain on the Costa de la Luz near to Portugal. From start to finish, this was the best holiday we have had in a long time!

We flew to Faro airport in Portugal and hired a car. The journey into Spain is very short and we reached our destination of Islantilla within an hour. Our host, Jaime, was there to greet us and show us around the house. This house is very highly equipped and met every requirement. Situated in a very tasteful complex with a very nice sized swimming pool, it was so calm and quiet we hardly wanted to leave. We had breakfast on the patio listening to the birds singing in the most beautiful location with tastefully designed gardens surrounding us, and - sunshine every day!

The main shopping area is about 15 minutes walk and it looks over the beach at Islantilla. There are also many more beautiful sandy beaches all around to which you can drive. They usually have a little beach café where you can have a tasty lunch and relax. There is also a little supermarket 2 minutes from the house and there is a bigger one in the main shopping area near the beach.

There is golfing nearby and if you like travelling around you can also take a day trip to Portugal or visit Seville which is a really beautiful city.

There are many restaurants at the commercial centre to include Casa Machaquito, great for fish. Also the La Cigüeña Hotel, which is three minutes walk from the house has a great restaurant with top notch food! Yum!

All in all, we had a really relaxing holiday. This is a very quiet area with no high rise buildings. Our hosts, Jaime and Alicia, have a lovely house in Islantilla and we were so lucky to be able to rent it. Can’t wait to get back! It is really Heaven on earth!

Maison très agréable !

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour à Islantilla. La maison est très agréable et très bien équipée. Les infrastructures sont pratiques et l'ensemble est bien sécurisé (portail, parking réservé, piscine surveillée, etc...). Bonne situation géographique et un temps magnifique !! Dommage que lors de notre séjour, certains voisins étaient bruyants...

A hidden gem

Having visited the Algarve on many occasions we decided to turn right rather than left leaving Faro and are delighted we did. This area of Spain appears to be reserved for the Spanish - no English voices anywhere (because of this you do need to be able to speak a bit of spanish to get the best from the local restaurants etc.).

The complex is one of the nicest in the area - approx 100 properties set around a lovely garden and superb pool with lifeguard and plenty of space. When we visited the complex was very quiet with probably only 12 properties occupied. It is also handy to have a small supermarket round the corner - although selection of wine etc is limited - use the Carrefour in Carteya.

The golf course is quiet and reasonable, but €20 for club hire is not great especially given the rubbish clubs - better to pick up clubs from Faro airport instead. All 3 loops of 9 are decent with a bit of variety while challenging in places it is generally fair - most definitely not a 'resort' course.

The villa is also well placed to be able to get to Faro or Sevilla for day trips out - we also went to Huelva (not much there).

The highlight though are the beaches - take the road to Isla Cristina and park up at any of the beaches - lovely deserted beaches with great dunes and pines behind and each beach has it's own little bar - magic. Given you will have a car it makes sense to use it to find the best beaches.

We had a lovely time - one of the most enjoyable relaxing holidays I can remember - and we have two young children (2 & 4)!! If I had to find faults - and these are really minor I would say that it might be a bit tight for 6 adults, and that the mosquitos do nip... - as I say minor!

A very nice change from the Algarve and well worth seeking out this hidden part of Spain.

Perfectly nice house and

We stayed there for 2 weeks with 3 persons and one 2year old child.

The house is really beautiful with everything there we needed,even

a cot, a highchair, books and toys for our child. From the first moment on we felt confortable like in our own house.

The only thing we missed was german television, there were only spanish channels.

We recommend this house highly.
