Dating back to 1862, "Ventnor" in Elvina Bay was first owned by William Oliver and his wife Mary. They were granted 12 hectares of land which was cleared for an orchard. Sadly their son Frederick died in 1867 after falling off his horse. He is buried further inland from the family home. HIs sandstone gravesite still in place beside a popular walking track. The home today boasts 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, deep verandas and spralling grounds. This waterfront property has views in two directions to Elvina Bay and Lovett Bay. It is accessible only by water; either public ferry or by boat to a a private jetty.
