Why Joe Ward chose Breckenridge Area

We’re not a hotel chain or big corporation…just a family whose dream was always to own property in the mountains. We love Breckenridge because it’s a real town with a real history dating back to 1859, much of which has been carefully preserved in Colorado’s largest historic district. The skiing is fabulous, but the summers have kept us coming back since 1999. You CANNOT get bored here: outside of the amazing array of winter sports (downhill skiing, cross-county skiing, heli-skiing, snowboarding, sledding, snowshoeing, tubing, ice skating, snowmobiling, dogsledding, ice climbing, sleigh riding), there’s a dizzying array of 3-season outdoor activities like hiking, climbing, mountain biking, horseback riding, golfing, white water rafting, kayaking, ballooning, swimming, running, tennis…pretty much something for everyone! Our condo is a great, peaceful escape for our family, and we’re anxious to share it with you on your next mountain vacation!

This condo gives our family of six room to spread out. The bedrooms are separated by the living room and entryway, affording a lot of privacy. The location of the Village at Breckenridge can't be beat...ski-in for lunch and walk to just about everything in town. Located next to the paved Blue River bike trail, Breckenridge Children's Museum, 2 blocks to Riverwalk Performing Arts Center, 3 blocks to nearest grocery/liquor stores, 4 blocks to ice rink, 5 blocks to Breckenridge Arts District

Beautiful, well maintained spacious condo with amazing mountain views and ski in/out convenience.

This is a top notch place to stay. The owners have included all the comforts needed for a relaxing stay with a well appointed kitchen, amazing bedding and living room furnishings. The Quicksilver lift is just steps away on Peak 9. The fun historic Main Street of Breckenridge is a quick and easy walk as well with many restaurants, bars and shops. There is something for everyone. The owners of this unit are easy to deal with and very responsive.

Owner's Response: We appreciate the kind words. I travel a lot myself for business, and I stay in many, many hotels. I know how much a quality mattress and plush bedding contribute to a good night's rest, so we definitely haven't skimped in those areas at Alpenview Suite!

Great location, well appointed apartment

We stayed for 10 days skiing at Breckenridge. We had 4 adults staying.

The apartment is well located very close to the lifts and Main St for shops and restaurants.

Kitchen was well equipped. Beds were very comfortable. Apartment was clean when we arrived.

We used Breeze Ski Rental at Joe's recommendation and they were very good, price was best we could get and service was exceptional.

Quandary Grill was also very good and very close.

Joe was quick to respond to queries and his instructions for check in/out worked well/

The health club in the complex was good, especially the hot tubs.

Overall, we would use this apartment again.

Owner's Response: Thanks for your review. What I love about our condo that many places don't have: choices. Cook a meal in our fully-equipped kitchen or, if you don't feel like it, walk 50 yards to the Quandary Grill (or to 20 other restaurants within walking distance). Bring your own ski equipment or, if you don't feel like packing it, rent from Breeze Ski Rentals located in this very building. Ski out to Breck's five mountains or, if you feel like taking a break, walk to a shop, gallery, spa, or museum. Or don't...enjoy the pool, hot tubs, sauna, and steam room in the health club instead. Your vacation should be about choices, and we have many.

Just finished our 3rd stay here in this great location! We love Breck and the slopes and this place puts you in the ideal spot. Owner is super great to work with. Highly recommend!

Owner's Response: Your loyalty means so much to me and my family! We only own this one condo, so when you book with us you have our full attention. I believe that a valuable tool to use when booking through vrbo is the owner's "response score." Personally, I would think twice about booking with an owner who is averaging more than a day to respond (or who has a poor track record of responding at all!).

Owner's Response: We love the condo's layout, also. The bedrooms are separated by the living and dining rooms, so it feels like each room has a lot of privacy. Also, the condo is located on the top floor, southeast corner of the building which means we have a commanding 270 degree view of the town, ski resort, and surrounding mountains.

Owner's Response: Breckenridge has many ski-in/ski-out accommodations but not many that are both ski-in/ski-out AND within walking distance to Main Street. To me, Main Street gives Breck it's charm. Many of it's buildings date back to the gold rush days. You can pick and choose from a plethora of restaurants, bars, shops, galleries, museums, and day spas...without having to rely on a taxi or shuttle van to get you there.

Wonderful unit

This unit was updated, complete, and very clean. 3 flat screen SMART TVs, gas fireplace, comfortable living room furniture, end unit with a very nice view. The beds were comfortable, little extras such as board games, sleds, Wii, were available for use. Especially nice was the spacious foyer with ski & coat racks as well as bench for gearing up & down. It provided plenty of room for our skis, boots, poles & coats. I have stayed at Breck for the past 5 years & stayed in multiple units at the Villages & Beaver Run. This was by far & away the best. When I come back I will contact Joe for this property.

Owner's Response: We look forward to having you back. Our tiled entryway is a great place to store ski equipment and bikes (although there is also a bike rack in the garage). We put our coat hooks and boot storage area near a baseboard heater so that your outerwear is nice and warm when you put them on! You're the first person to express appreciation for the bench in the hallway (thank you!)...we wanted to have a bench where multiple people can sit and "gear up" at the same time.

No need for a car once you're here...walk to pretty much everything in town! Numerous companies provide shuttle service to/from Denver Intl Airport, like Colorado Mountain Express (800-525-6363). Breckenridge 'Free Ride' provides complimentary bus transportation around town. Summit Stage provides free bus transportation from Breckenridge to other locations in Summit County, including Copper Mountain and Keystone ski resorts, Frisco, Dillon, and the Outlet Shops at Silverthorne.
