We have available a large beautifully bright upper 1 bedroom apartment of over 1,200 square feet in lovely Los Feliz.

This classic Hollywood pre-war triplex, now with updated electrical, plumbing, and central heat & air, was constructed in 1937, just one year before filming began on such masterpiece works as;

~The Wizard of Oz

~Gone With the Wind

~The Women.

Apartment amenities include -

Originally from the Chicago area, I've now been living in the Los Angeles area since 1977. After graduating from the University of Colorado I moved to San Francisco for about 5 years, and then re-located to Los Angeles.

Why Michael Nosek chose Los Angeles area

I am a sucker for classic architecture, and this pre-war constructed triplex was just the ticket. All the original features are still intact, and I've enjoyed upgrading all the utilities, plumbing, landscaping and accessories.

What makes this apartment unique

Spacious. Quiet. Light-filled. Well-located. And the neighborhood is a gem. I am very happy here, as are those you may meet walking their dog, pushing their strollers, or just taking a stroll solo enjoying the homes, the views and the trees.

  • The bathroom is at the far end of the hall and has retained its original tile, sink, tub and stall shower. Updates include plumbing, fixtures, shower ventilation and low flow toilet.

    Living room - 1 Large Double Bed , Room can be closed off from the hall & kitchen for privacy.

  • The formal bedroom is beautifully bright and faces the courtyard of the building including a fruiting Meyer lemon tree. There is a queen bed with designer linens, a flat screen television and a walk-in closet. The living room has a queen sofa bed, french doors to the balcony, a flat screen television, the writing desk, two lovely leather wing-backed chairs and a walk-in closet. This room can be closed off from the hall and the kitchen for privacy.

Wonderful lodging, wonderful neighborhood!

As always, my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kenmore Mews. The accommodations are perfect and the neighborhood is quiet and central to everything we want to do in LA. We can even walk to great restaurants, theaters and LA's best book store!

Quiet, roomy, fabulous property in a lovely neighborhood

We recently stayed one week in this wonderful apartment and would happily choose it again, and for longer.

The photos are an accurate representation of the unit. We were impressed by the spaciousness and comfort and quiet. Everything was neat and clean. The living room is comfortable for relaxing any time of day; the dining room can seat six; the kitchen is very usable for cooking, and is well appointed with cooking implements. The bed is extremely comfortable, and we liked having a big-screen TV in there as well as in the living room; the walk-in closet was a nice bonus. We loved having a shower stall separate from the bathtub, and we liked the ample space in the sunny bathroom. Washer and dryer work well.

The location is great--within walking distance to restaurants, shops, movie theater, library, post office. The surrounding neighborhood is lovely. The subway is about a 15-minute walk, an easy ride into downtown. The location also offers easy access by car to downtown LA and to the 5. As others have mentioned, street parking was very easy; we usually could get a spot right in front.

Michael was an excellent host and responded quickly to the few questions we had.

In short, we recommend Kenmore Mews highly.

We found the Kenmore Mews to be charming, well appointed, and very comfortable. The apartment is in a quiet neighborhood and yet still walking distance to the village of Los Feliz. We look forward to staying there again. Michael was a terrific host.

Fabulous home away from home!

We spent a week in LA in this lovely apartment. It was a great find - so much better than spending a week in a hotel. All the comforts of home - fully equipped kitchen, cozy bedding, and a gracious host. Never a problem with parking on the street and a great location. We're ready to book next year!
