About Vacasa of Oregon Coast

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Even better than pictured

The view is amazing! The unit had everything we needed. As the description mentions, it is a short walk to the beach access point, but that was not a problem for us. We loved it!

Not what I was expecting.

  • 3 of 5

The photos for the listing were a bit deceiving. Photos included had us believing that the sunroom was part of the place we were staying in. Along with mentioning that it was a two level house. Got there and realized we were staying in the downstairs of a converted house. Much smaller than expecting.

I would suggest being more upfront with the housing situation. Also the listing indicates "beach access" while the beach access was a 5-10 min walk through a overgrown trail behind a fence and through another neighbors backyard.

There was also only one recycling / garbage can outside for the shared property. Not a lot of space for trash and recycling especially considering the traffic through a rental during the summer and the garbage only being picked up once a week.

The bed was considerably comfortable and the view was pretty great minus some overgrown bushes. Once we came to accept the situation it was enjoyable.

Clean, beautiful and comfortable

  • 4 of 5

Beautiful clean place. super comfortable bed. Cozy...We gave 4 stars as the shrubs needed to be trimmed down to make the view of the ocean unobstructed . Maybe put some.lawn chairs out too. We bought one at a thridt store so we.could.sit outside Directions to beach were not clear. Aside from that... we had a.blast. we would come.back.

Owner's Response: We appreciate the guests feedback. The lawn chairs were located by the hot tub and have since been moved back down to the lower unit. This specific home has their own lawn care team and have been waiting for guests to be vacant from the home before taking care of the bushes, these have since been trimmed.

It wasn’t the best in terms of cleanliness

  • 2 of 5

We stayed two nights for our Anniversary. The cleanliness wasnt what we would have liked: the rugs needed cleaning, there was white spots on the bedspread cover (yuck), they left us only 2 wash rags, 2 hand towels, and 3 bath towels (but not hot tub towels). We had to do a couple loads of towels while we were there just so we had towels to shower with. They need a screen on their porch door so the house doesn’t fill up with little bugs. We enjoyed the hot tub but the cover handle was broke so it was a little difficult to open. The size of the house was fine, the landscaping was pretty but needed some maintenance as well. The kitchen could use a few sharp knives and some more wine glasses. The walk to the beach was fine but the trail is starting to become overgrown. The house has potential to be a better VRBO. It was fine for the two days, just not “special!”
