About Vacasa, OR - Oregon Coast Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Overall a good experience

 • 4 of 5

The view is phenomenal. We enjoyed waking up and looking out the bedroom's picture window at the distant beach. Sitting outside and watching the sun set over the ocean was a fabulous experience. Walking to the beach was more involved and took longer than described. If you're looking for easy beach access you won't find it here.

Although we enjoyed our stay immensely, there were a couple of problems worth mentioning. One, there is no lighting from the gate, down the stairs, and to front door, creating an evening hazard if you don't use your phone flashlight. Two, the king size mattress is placed on a board without a box spring, resulting in a less than ideal sleep.

We were disappointed to receive a call informing us that our check in would be delayed by 2 hours because we had made the reservation late the evening before.

We appreciated the use of a washer and dryer. The gas fireplace was a nice touch. Overall a good experience.

Cozy and beautiful home

 • 5 of 5

We stayed for 2 nights here and wound up spending most of our time at the home while it rained outside. The gas fireplace was a welcome feature and at any point we were able to peak out the window and see the rain coming down on the beach. The view is gorgeous, there is beach access the next street over (2 minute walk at most) and having a full home to make use of was perfect for us.

Our only regret is not booking another day to spend there so we could visit the Depoe Winery and walk on the beach more. The home is just the right amount of space for two people and it's relatively secluded from the upstairs unit and neighboring houses while also being close to places to eat, stores and of course, the beach.

Clean; nice location; beach access challenge; poorly equipped.

 • 2 of 5

Aside from potential upstairs neighbors/noise, the location feels private and quiet. Hot tub (shared) is wonderful. Local beach is just beautiful but a bit of a challenge to access. You need a small sense of adventure to make the 10-minute hike down to the beach. The beach trek was nothing but fun for our 7-year-old but could be a barrier for more delicate or unsteady travelers.

Basic kitchen amenities were badly lacking. No good if you like to cook.

Almost there

 • 3 of 5

As a few previous reviewers have mentioned, but this property is unique in its own way and only lacks a couple of amenities from making this a perfect vacation spot. Prepare to either purchase or bring kitchen items you wish to use if you plan on cooking. A couple of frying pans and a sauce pan were provided but don't expect to boil any crabs or make any pasta dishes. Lighting leading down to the property is nonexistent which is problematic during night time if you plan to get back or arrive late. Management was very responsive, polite and professional when I called. Danielle (property manager)even offered to go purchase some lacking kitchen amenities for us but we declined since it was our last night.
