Brick & flint barn, charming and spacious, centre of Cley and close to beach
We're happy to offer 3 nights minimum during non-peak periods. Set within the grounds of The Old Manor House, this charming brick and flint Barn offers spacious and well-appointed accommodation, plus a central location in Cley Next the Sea. Full of character, it comprises 2 generous double rooms, one with an en-suite shower room and the other with a TV and adjoining family room, which has 2 single beds, plus a truckle bed to sleep a third. The family room is divided from the main double bedroom by a door, but does not have a separate entrance and so is most suitable for children.
The ground floor bathroom is finished to a high specification, with a Duravit bathroom suite. There is a bath and integrated shower, washbasin and WC. High grade, Egyptian cotton bed linen and towels are provided.
The kitchen is fully equipped, including a Miele oven and Miele hob, microwave, Bosch dishwasher, AEG washer/dryer and fridge with freezer compartment. There is also a large fridge/freezer in the garage - which is adjacent to the barn and easily reached - which is solely for guest use. The garage is also useful for guests to store bikes, fishing equipment, body boards or anything else you might wish to store in the dry and out of the barn itself.
The main living/dining area is spacious, with a comfortable seating area for at least 7 people and log burner. There is a large, wall-mounted TV with Freeview and internet TV. In addition, there is a DVD player and a selection of DVDs for you to choose from. The dining table is situated near to the kitchen and sits up to 8 comfortably. Two walls are mostly covered with book shelves and we have plenty for you to read!
Outside there is an attractive garden area, bordered by beautiful willow fencing. There is a garden table and chairs with umbrella, a small terraced area and lawn and we provide a BBQ in the summer months.
For guests with small children, we have a travel cot, 1 high chair and a booster seat and both sets of stairs are fitted with stair gates.
The local area itself has lots of things for younger children to do, including crabbing at Blakeney, the seal trips from Morston and Blakeney Quays, plus within walking distance of the barn is a small playground. North Norfolk itself is full of fun activities for children and we have details within the barn.
There is parking for 2 cars directly outside the barn.
(Please note we have a FRIDAY turn around day and a no smoking policy.)

Super cosy house
Lovely, comfortable house in a great location. We stayed as a group of seven and there was plenty of space for us all. Would definitely book again
Beautiful conversion, very comfortable
Cley is a beautiful village with great fish smokery and Deli. Some good pubs around. Barn very pretty. We had terrible weather so the Wood burner helped keep us warm and cosy. Small but well equipped kitchen. One bedroom upstairs not en-suite means trip downstairs to loo.
Loved the 4 day break and would return again.
Family get together
The house met all of our expectations with plenty of space for children.
Plenty to do in the area from beaches, walking, bird watching or stately home visiting. Good play areas for children and of course crabbing.
The owner was very accommodating.
Beautiful, and very well equipped, lovely open space and great wood burning stove.
For a family it's great space, the layout is very open and works well , we didn't forget had anything missing at all , very well equipped and beautifully presented . Booking was very simple and Rachel helpful. We would certainly recommend it to anyone wanted to explore Norfolk as the location is perfect too.
Great property in peaceful location
Manor House Barn is a lovely property and in a great location for exploring North Norfolk. The property is exactly as described with a very large living area - great for a group - and a small but well stocked kitchen, including a washing machine and dishwasher. Beds were super-comfortable with nice linens and the bathrooms were modern with no end of hot water!
Rachel was also very helpful and even loaned us her electric hand blender for the duration of the stay. Recommended!
Great cottage and superb location. So much to do and see.
We had a fantastic stay at the cottage and plenty of room for 2 families.
It had everything we needed and within easy walking distance to two great pubs with wonderful food in the village.
Loved Cley and all it has to offer and the rest of North Norfolk.
A perfect stay for anyone who can easily get up stairs to their room and families too.
Thanks for having us.
