Best time to visit Goa: Goa is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing, rejuvenating and tension free holiday. You can visit this lovely place any time of the year. It rains quite heavily over here thus making transportation a bit cumbersome. Else, the best time of the year that can be called the peak season for Goa travel is from October to March. The place is blessed with maritime climate which makes almost the entire year the ideal time to visit Goa!
Right after the monsoons the weather becomes even more pleasant, the skies clear up and the seas become placid and calm. Every monument and every building looks like it has been washed spic and span. There is not a speck of dust on trees and they look lush green. The summers here are a bit harsh with maximum temperature going up to 35o Celsius. Winters can hardly be called winters as the minimum temperature does not drop below 18o Celsius. The weather is just perfect to enjoy your vacation thoroughly.
Eating Out in Goa: Goa has a variety of restaurants that offer world cuisine. Apart from that, you will come across many fast food joints like Domino's, Barista, Caffe Coffe Day in various towns and cities of Goa. Since Goa has been ruled by different empires, the cuisine is a mix of the best of all of them!
But in Goa, it is best to try the local food that is available in those shacks and restaurants. The variety is so wide that you couldn't possibly decide what to eat in Goa! Select from the delectable sea food or the lip smacking non vegetarian cuisines that Goa has to offer. Vegetarians need not fret as Goa has plenty to offer to you too. Also, do not forget to try the 'Feni', Goa's popular alcoholic drink. It is advisable to drink in moderation as Feni is quite strong and can make you loose your senses in no time.
Goa Entertainment/Nightlife: The night-life in Goa was started by the hippies who came here during the 70's. Since then, the night-life in Goa has steadily increased and has gained much fame now.
Since alcohol is easily available in Goa, there is no dearth of fun and enjoyment here during late hours. Goa is full of small restaurants that have bars too. So, almost every eatery will have a bar that serves chilled beer and allows you to relax in peace. The most popular zones for enjoying the night-life of Goa are the beaches. Goans believe in partying hard and one can spot many trance parties in famous beaches where people just enjoy themselves and forget the tensions of life. Though Goa is a liberal state, there are strict laws against drunken driving, taking drugs, etc.
We really enjoyed our vacation. We had a great time staying here. The interior of the house is awesome and thankfully all rooms are airconditioned. Beach is a short walk away and we enjoyed the time spent on the candolim beach. The pool area is very nice to spend sometime next too!! We had a great time. Thanks
We loved the villa. It was so spacious and cheerful. The balcony was a special place where we spent many a happy hour relaxing on the swing and chatting as we watched the greenery outside. Mr. Naik was really helpful and we are thankful to him. We would love to be back.
First time in Goa along with friends and family and I had a memorable experience. Welcome provided to us by Ramesh and Vasu was very warm and they provided userfriendly details of the surrounding area. Details were provided of convenience store (Newton's is fantastic), restaurants and bars in the area as well as car hire details. The villa is brand new and very well maintained by Ramesh and Vasu. It has been tastefully decorated and the toilets are top class. Also all rooms including the lounge area is airconditioned (very convenient). The swimming pool which is in the complex (with only 8 villas) is very nice and the deck area is well maintained. There is 24 hour security and we felt very secure in the villa.
Beaches to visit are Candolim (excellent) and bagga, Anjuna, Vagator and Arambol. Most beach shacks serve excellent food and drinks, especially the ones on candolim beach. Sunny Side Up!!! on candolim beach is excellent for breakfast. Restaurants that are not on the beach but excellent are House of Lloyds and the Sol. Also Cavalah (near Baga) and Curlies (on Anjuna) are excellent bars that play good music!!!! Very enjoyable and comfortable holiday and will definately recommend this property to friends!!!!
We had an awesome holiday, on our first visit to Goa, because the weather is Goa was fantastic (approx 22-25C) and villa was top class, very well done up with excellent bathrooms and interiors. All rooms inclusing the lounge area is air conditioned. Ramesh and Vasu were excellent hosts at the time of check-in and provided us all details of the surronding area, resturants and car hire details.
We spent a lot of time by the swimming pool that is not very large but nice and the pool deck is nicely done up. We enjoyed our time on the candolim beach and shacks on the beach. We loved the food!! Outstanding. Would recommend Sunny Side-up!! on candolim beach for breakfast. Water sport facilities on the beach are excellent! Other places I would recommend is the Cavalah bar (near Baga beach and Curlies (on anjuna). Need bikes, that are freely available to move around. Alternatively, you could rent a car!! The beach to go is Arambol which is a very quite and peaceful beach!!!
Can't wait to go my next holiday to Goa!!!
The villa is located in Candolim, the most picturesque and popular with tourist village in North Goa. The golden sand Candolim Beach is approx 1 km away, with a walking distance of 15 minutes. Other popular beaches like Calangute, Baga, Anjuna and Vagator are a short drive away. The beaches has natural golden sand of very fine quality, tall coconut trees, turquoise blue water and the area has some of the most popular bars and restaurants in Goa.
On the beach, you will find a variety of souvenir stalls, snack bars, small restaurants, etc. The beach is a delight for shell collectors and you will find beautiful patterned shells over here. Swimming can be enjoyed in the shallow waters as the current is not that strong here and some beaches are considered quite safe to swim.
Supermarkets are within 5 minute driving distance from the villa. Candolim beach nearby boasts of some of the best eateries. The fresh Goan style sea food served with a warm smile is unbeatable.
