Modern 4 bedroomed villa situated close to the historic town of Oliva. The villa sleeps upto 8 people and has its own private pool, outside kitchen with BBQ and a choice of other attractive terraces to enjoy. Being situated on a mountain there are spectacular views out towards the sea and the nearest beach which is 3km away.
The villa is located in a quiet residential area and is ideal for families. There are a variety of local attractions including a safari park, water parks and wonderful blue flag beaches. There are also weekly local markets in Oliva and nearby towns.
The villa is ideal for those wanting to enjoy a relaxing atmosphere with the option of exploring the unspoilt local area.
After a slightly nervous start (we didn't receive directions or arrival instructions until the day before our stay), we arrived to a warm welcome from Daphne, the neighbour who manages the property. Although we felt we could pop next door to ask about the villa, it would have been helpful to have a welcome pack with information. Unfortunately the boiler was broken on arrival (Monday) but a plumber had been called for Wednesday morning who duly replaced the boiler in its entirety by midday. Unfortunately during that time we had no hot water which wasn't a massive issue for us - partly because of the heat (32 degrees) and partly because we had family around the corner and could nip off for a shower. Not ideal though (particularly as this villa does not have a dishwasher and so we were having to boil kettles to wash dishes / clean surfaces) and we have to date received no apology or offer of compensation from the owner. The villa itself is lovely with a really great pool area and pleasant rooms. The ceiling fans in the bedrooms are a bit noisy but you do get used to that as it's essential to have them on at night in August. The property was clean and there were a few welcome items in the fridge when we arrived. The location is fine - you definitely need a car but there is plenty to do in the area. The most local restaurant (Tossal Gros) is not worth visiting in our opinion but there are a few in Oliva - Kiko Port being the most notable but also the most expensive. Overall, a well priced villa with great outside space which with a few tweaks, we would definitely recommend to friends. Thank you for letting us stay.
