Stunning 2 bedroom duplex

Location, location, location: it may be a cliché, but it's also true - the location of any property is the most important thing to consider, whether it's somewhere to live, or somewhere to spend on holiday. There are many places to rent in Deia, but it's the location of this duplex which makes it unique: stunning views of both the church on the terraced hill and of the Tramontana mountains and sunshine all day. Deia's topography and narrow streets are what make it so attractive, but they also mean that finding a property which gets the sun all day, and has great views is nearly impossible!

The duplex is available, for any number of nights, depending on availability. It is furnished and equipped to a very high standard and has air conditioning, heating, English and German satellite television, Broadband WiFi and private parking.

The village of Deya has two well stocked small supermarkets, a bakery, an English speaking chemist and a bank with cash point, plus, of course, a huge range of bars, restaurants and cafés. For peace of mind, there is a doctor/nurse surgery on weekdays and a 24 hour emergency service 12 km away in Soller.

Deia is a walker's and climber's paradise and Deia beach (or 'cala') is a fifteen minute walk away through olive groves and pine woods. Other amenities nearby include galleries, concerts, golf, beaches, tennis, sailing, windsurfing and diving. Soller and Valldemossa are each 15 minutes drive away, Palma & the airport are 40 minutes away, and there is an excellent bus & inexpensive taxis service

On the spectacular North West coast of Mallorca, nestled into the Tramontana mountains (a UNESCO World Heritage site), Deia is situated between the mountains and the sea.

In this part of Mallorca a car is an asset but, for those who do not want to drive, there is an excellent bus service several times a day and taxis are inexpensive.

Mallorca enjoys a wonderful climate throughout the year with few rainy or cold periods. This property is an ideal base, winter or summer. Special rates can apply for bookings for more than 2 weeks.

The bedrooms have full size beds - 1.5 x 2 meters for the double and 90 x 2 meters for the two single beds. Also a cot and a high chair The bathroom has two basins with marble worktop, bidet, WC and bath with shower unit. Air conditioning and heating. The sitting room opens out onto a garden terrace and the double bedroom has a balcony. Both the balcony and the terrace have wonderful views and enjoy the sun all day, winter and summer.

Fabulous property in fabulous Deia

We've been staying in Deia since 1975 and started renting from Clare and Frederick about 9 years ago. The duplex property is ideally positioned a few minutes walk from two groceries, the Wednesday market, bus stops to Soller and Valdemossa, the village shops and restaurants. It's 20 minutes walk down to the cala, (30 minutes walk up) and 30 minutes to Lluc Alcari where you can scramble down to the beautiful cove. The Soller bus stops at the top of Alconasser and La Muleta which are excellent starting points for several fabulous walks.

The property is very well equipped with everything you need for a family stay. You can eat in every day rather than going out, the air conditioning is efficient and effective, everything is clean and the linen and towels are of good quality. The terraces are of good size and provide plenty of sun and shade. The upstairs terrace off the main bedroom is especially lovely and there are splendid views to the church and the sea.

Our daughter was married in Deia on 10 June this year and it now has an even more special place in our hearts. This is now the third generation of the family who has made Deia a second home and we're already looking forward to our 2018 stay.

Superb accommodation - everything you could want

Wonderful accommodation with everything we could possibly want. Very comfortable beds, so quiet, lovely views, and we had fabulous weather and could choose between full sun or shade on the terrace. Our 13 year old son loved it too. We did several walks from the accommodation so at times wondered why we had bothered with hiring a car, but we did have some great days out further afield too. I would highly recommend this accommodation to others.

Beautiful property in lvely setting

This was the 4th visit to Deia for myself, husband and 19 year old son. We had previously stayed in another property in Son Canals so knew what to expect of the area.

The property is beautifully furnished and equipped, very clean and well maintained and everything has been thought of. It has lovely terraces with superb views .

Although we were unfortunately out at the time, the owner visited to check if everything was ok and I thought this was a very nice touch.

Deia is a lovely village with a couple of supermarkets and a number of restaurants. Some of these are quite expensive but it is possible to eat well and reasonably cheaply.

We enjoyed our not so early in the morning runs to the cove and back but any running is better done before it gets too hot! We regretted not taking our tennis rackets with us as the local tennis courts are very close to Son Canals and apparently not used too much.

All in all this was a very enjoyable and relaxing holiday and we certainly hope to return to Deia and if possible to the same property before too long.

Excellent Holiday - Super 2D Duplex

This was our third residential stay in Deia and our best yet. The duplex was pretty much as we expected after reading the description and previous reviews. We found the over-all quality of booking arrangements, presentation, facilities and ambiance of 2D to be excellent and these aspects certainly created the basic element for us to enjoy our holiday.

2D is well located in a particularly peaceful part of Deia while being only a few minutes walk up to the village centre. All necessary domestic equipment (to a good standard) is provided and the lay-out combined with quality furniture, makes the duplex a particularly comfortable place to relax. Outside space is adequate and benefits from super views of the village and hills as well as (from late am and subject to weather) continuous sun through to what is usually a spectacular sunset.

Deia village requires little introduction, it's just such a great place to take a holiday and meets most folks requirements, whatever their activity/relaxation requirements.

For those looking for first class self catering accommodation, we thoroughly recommend 2D.

We'll definitely be back and we look forward to contacting Clare again to help us make our holiday booking.

Stunning serenity

Our second visit to Deia and this lovely duplex. The owners are very helpful and accommodating and the communication was excellent throughout. The duplex is homely and is well stocked with all that you could need. Great views of the church and lovely patio garden. Loved sitting outside with a glass of wine and listening to the donkeys braying. The duplex is well located - just a 5 minute stroll to the lovely restaurants and about 25 minutes to the rocky but most picturesque bay. Please hire a car to explore and take the drive out to Formentor - absolutely stunning. Some great walks from the villa; we particularly enjoyed the walk to Soller on a Saturday and then browsing the local market. I would definitely recommend staying in Deia and in this duplex.

Lovely apartment set in a beautiful village

The apartment is well designed and equipped with a lovely terrace which catches the afternoon/evening sun. The perfect spot to relax after a hike to Valdemosa and back. Deia itself is a beautiful village with some great restaurants all within easy walking distance. Our first time in Deia and I think we'll be back.

Deia is on the north west coast of Mallorca, situated between the imposing Tramontana mountain range and the sea. Palma and the airport are 40 km (25 miles) away, the port of Soller and Valldemossa are each 15 minutes away. The house/duplex is within 5 minutes walk of Deia shops, restaurants, cafes, bars and art galleries. The Robert Graves Museum, formally the house and garden where the writer and poet lived for much of his life, is 10 minutes walk from the village.

Other Activities: Art galleries and classical music concerts in the Archduke's palace, overlooking the sea.

Golf: Son Canals makes an excellent base for golfers. Mallorca now has approximately 20 excellent golf clubs, some, including the new Son Vida course, are about 45 minute drive while Son Termens Golf Club is only 30 minutes drive away.
