About Owner/Property Manager

Our family has been visiting the Bridgton area for the last twelve years over the fall, winter and summer. We have enjoyed all of the special things each season brings: the Fryeburg Fair, apple picking, foliage; snow shoeing, snowmobiling, ice skating and skiing; sunbathing, swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, boating, stargazing and, of course, the Portland Sea Dogs. Throughout our many travels, we have always compared each vacation to vacationing at Secret Harbor. We always find that our comparison ends with our saying, 'It was fun, but it's no Secret Harbor.' The fall of 2013 our family had the good fortune to buy our own place in Secret Harbor. We hope that you will find it as special a place as we have always found it to be.

Calm, quiet week on Long Lake

  • 5 of 5

This is a beautifully decorated, clean duplex with views of Long lake. Michelle made us feel right at home and promptly answered a few questions we had upon arrival. This included finding a second dock so our extended family could tie up their boat for a few hours while visiting!

The kitchen is outfitted with every kitchen gadget imaginable. Kayak, paddle board, inflatables, board games, cards, etc all available for use.

We appreciated the beds being made and towels clean in the bathrooms. This decreased our packing.

The sandy beach is a minute walk. It was quiet most of the week. A wagon for beach chairs, cooler, etc was provided and convenient.

We vacationed during a hot week (90s/humid). Only two out of three bedrooms were air conditioned. The non-air conditioned bedroom was HOT at the height of the heat. Beds in the basement offered a cooler space to sleep.

We look forward to enjoying this space again and would recommend it to others!

Nice, well-equipped, spacious condo.

  • 5 of 5

We spent a very comfortable week at Long Lake. Condo is well furnished and comes with plenty of “extras” such as water toys, paddle boat, canoe, paddle board, and a safe dock for your boat. (Watch out for rocks in the harbor, though.)

Beautiful shared sandy beach with swim raft and fire pit is a short walk away.

Owner Michelle is very responsive to any questions that arise.

Another wonderful stay at Secret Harbor!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed another wonderful visit to Secret Harbor, this year staying for two weeks! The unit is well-equipped and meticulously maintained with ample room for our guests. We especially appreciated the room air conditioning units in the master bedroom and large upstairs bedroom as the weather was very hot for much of our first week. Even during the hot days, we found great relief by the water with its shady areas and lovely breezes. And the lake is wonderful for swimming and boating as well!

The condo is well-located located, close to Harrison, Bridgton, Norway and Waterford. During our stay, we returned to some favorite area spots and explored some new ones, including Hacker's Hill in Casco and McLaughlin Gardens in South Paris. But mostly we just relaxed in and by the water, reading, eating and visiting with family and friends.

Perfect place for a family vacation

  • 5 of 5

This is the second time we have rented this property. Everything about it is perfect, including the beautiful spot overlooking Secret Harbor, where we docked our rental boat. It is quiet and you can hear the loons. We had family members and friends come and join my husband and myself for a few days at a time, and it is the perfect layout to do this, given the spacious deck (and lower walkout deck), bedrooms, fully finished basement, and generous 3.5 baths. We never felt crowded and enjoyed having our loved ones with us. And then some alone time for ourselves, too. All our guests commented on how well equipped this property is. These owners think of everything! We never lacked for specific utensils, beach towels, beach chairs, you name it, they have it. So while we brought our own food and household disposable supplies, everything else was already there. The property has also been improved since our last stay, with a deck extension among others. These property owners clearly care about and invest in their home. They are also very responsive, and responded immediately to our few questions when we arrived. Thanks for sharing your home with us, we hope to be back again!

A gem of a family vacation

  • 5 of 5

Secret Harbor lived up to all of our expectations for a wonderful family vacation. The house was beautiful and fit all of the needs of our family of six adults and one ten-month old. It offered lots of spaces to spread out in. The screened porch was small but provided a wonderful space for reading and relaxing. When it was time for swimming, the beach was great, such a nice change from large community beaches. Not only was Long Lake good for swimming, but it was beautiful to kayak on. It was a bonus to see the loons feeding their babies. This was a true space to just relax and be...quiet, relaxing and fun family time.

A perfect stay at the perfect place!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful week in this condo at Secret Harbor. The unit is beautifully decorated and very well-equipped. My husband and I enjoyed the first floor master bedroom suite with great closet space, large bathroom and direct access to the deck. During our stay, we had periodic guests who were equally comfortable in the rooms on the second floor.

We loved the spacious deck and screened-in porch overlooking the picturesque cove/boat harbor; in fact, we didn't eat a single meal inside during the week! Thanks to two large umbrellas, there is shade on at least part of the deck throughout the day.

The kitchen was fully stocked with plenty of dishes, utensils, pots and pans etc. which made meal preparation a pleasure. There were plenty of chairs to take to the lovely beach and the neighbors we met were very friendly (one couple we met even took us out for a lovely tour of the lake on their boat).

The condo is very conveniently located, close to both Harrison and Bridgton. We walked into Harrison to visit friends and stopped by the Harrison Old Home Days, went to fireworks in Bridgton and Naples (and even saw the ones in Harrison from the Secret Harbor property), hiked Hawk's Mountain and enjoyed fresh apple cider donuts, delicious strawberries and take out pizza from the Pie Tree Orchard.

The only thing that detracted somewhat from the ease of our stay as we do need to do some work while away was the wifi connection which was pretty weak and intermittent.

The owner was extremely helpful, both before and during our stay, providing tips of things to do in the area and timely answers to questions as they came up. We plan to return next year and highly recommend this property to others.

Owner's Response: It was such a pleasure having you as guests at our condo last week! I'm glad that you found everything to be comfortable. I apologize for the weak internet signal. We contacted our internet provider and have been provided with what's called an extender. We tried it out during the week after you left and it worked fantastic. We even got a connection when sitting down at the gazebo. Thank you very much for your kind review. We are looking forward to having you as guests again next summer!
