Love views from balcony
absolutely cant fault it really enjoyed the views!
also had great WIFI so what a bonus
Glad you had a great time, you were perfect guests.
First impression were amazing.
The Management Company arranged a taxi from the airport for us, the driver stopped en-route so that we could pick up supplies from the supermarket as we chose not to hire a car. Upon arrival at the apartment we were impressed with the spacious airy size of the rooms. The apartment was clean, comfortable and had everything that we needed, even hairdryers. The balcony was a favorite place for us to sit with stunning sea views. Not having a car did not hinder our experience but would have enabled us to see more of the area in the short week that we had. We used the trains, station is a short walk from the apartment and taxi's. Beautiful beaches surround this area. Our favorite places were Tropea, beautiful beach and great nightlife and Parghelia, beautiful beach. The whole Zambrone area has many beautiful beaches and restaurants, the region is unspoilt and offers many great attractions. We would recommend this apartment to travellers of all ages and abilities.
Thank you for the review its great to hear that you were able to get around and see this wonderful part of Italy without the need for a car.
We loved having you as our guests thank you and we hope you return soon.
A beautiful apartment, clean, air conditioned and everything you could possibly need; including towels, washing machine and beach umbrella.
Pool was beautifully clean and lovely and warm. Shared with about 14 apartments, but not often busy.
Lovely location with fantastic beaches nearby and loved Tropea and the beaches there and especially the boat trip to Stromboli. Saw Dolphins and Stomboli erupting (slightly!) beaches were gorgeous as was the main town. Highly recommend a visit.
Thank you for the review so glad you enjoyed your holiday please come back again.
Stunning views in a peaceful location
If you want peace and quiet and to totally relax in a beautiful part of southern Italy, then this is the place to stay. The apartment, pool and grounds are all immaculate. The apartment’s terrace with the stunning sea view became a regular spot for us for breakfast, laying on the loungers in the afternoon, and for drinks while we watched the most incredible sunsets. The AC is also fantastic, as are the showers! We had a couple of minor gripes during our stay, mainly that there were no movable pool loungers that we could take to the pool or beach (just giant white plastic ones – too heavy!), we also found the beds very hard & uncomfortable and there was no hairdryer. The recycling system is also like nothing you have ever experienced – 6 types with different collection days/types of bags/bins with the correct barcodes on them. The residents are HOT on this topic and we were asked many, many times (including during early morning and late night knocks on our door) if we were doing it correctly! There is also no WIFI (our fault for not spotting that it wasn’t listed, but we just assumed that everywhere you go now has WIFI). The ‘welcome pack’ doesn’t give you any really useful info beyond a local history lesson – here’s just a few tips that may be handy: A taxi to Tropea will cost €15 each way for a 10 min journey. It’s the same to Pizzo, even though that journey is longer; If you come out of the top gate and turn left you will reach Zambrone town. It’s a 45 min walk up hill most of the way, but it has a very cute little piazza + nice restaurant, market & pharmacy. There’s a fish restaurant along the way to the town that is great; Go to the local pizza place (10 min walk - left and left again out of the top gate) for lunch - it’s a pretty scary walk in the pitch black at night! There’s an amazing restaurant called La Giara about 5 mins drive from the apartment – fantastic views for sunset, beautiful food, so reasonable– the best lasagna ever! Ask for a key for the bottom gate if you’re on foot - saves you climbing up a massive hill every day; Best spaghetti vongole of your life at Lido Azzurro in Tropea; Go to Pepe Nero in Pizzo for a beautiful seafood dinner. Overall we had an absolutely brilliant holiday & would recommend staying here to anyone who wants to get away from it all & relax. We hope this helps future guests get the most out of their stay + management company improve a few things that would make this apartment a full 5/5 experience
It was my pleasure to have you stay at our wonderful apartment and I appreciate your honest review.
As a result we have now furnished the apartment with some lightweight loungers which can be taken to the sea. I was surprised to hear about the hairdryers as we have always had them, I will now make sure that we get them replaced.
Thank you very much

no mosquitos cos property was high up from sea lev.good local shops.great beaches.fantastic holiday!four kids(all teenagers)and two parents struggled a bit with the sleeping arrangements(sofa bed for two of 'em in main living room),as property kept tripping out the electric if exceeded the max. 3.3kW power(box outside). So,don't put on the washer and two air con units at once, for example.with three rooms used for sleeping and a heatwave the 3 aircon units had to be shared/swapped around.we managed better, once Lorraine and Paul explained the intricae of air con.Agents were fantastically helpful,as was having a washing machine, too!Lovely views, lovely pool(nb:do not use the loungers by the pool;they are private & left by other apartment/condo owners/renters).Quiet time(SHUT)in pool 'tween 2-4.30pm & after 8pm.RULES=NO lilos/balls/splashing/diving etc.allowed at ANY time = made for a civilised relaxed atmosphere, albeit a bit restrictive for teenagers, there is after all the beaches for these sorts of activities.Local pizzeria accessible on foot and both hospitable and cheap with great choice of tasty fresh food (coperti included@1euro per head-so tip only if impressed like we did/were).Locally the sandy beach at Zambrone train station was accessible 'cross the track;rear of gelato/cafe concession, was bang-on!Down the earth track/trod starting at the RHS as you look toward the sea.Lots of jumping/diving & cliff scrambling to LHS of free public spiaggio paradiso del sub beach;from the lion rock and beyond(LHS)toward zambrone main(marina)beach.to the RHS exists a 'camping village' chalet-park and dive centre which has a private dusty road with restaurant (which accesses main road up steep&narrow-watch out for camper vans/mobile homes-'private' road). From the bottom of Paulo Borsellini?road(condo/apartments community)virtually directly opposite & slightly right(20 yards)is a skinny cliff trod which winds down to a stony beach under the train tracks(check out google maps-earth views).very private & there are various slabs of rock in sea left & right to dive/jump off.great nature/sea life to be seen!we saw hawks/mantis(insect)/rays/wrasse/mullet/lizards & there are a pair of eagles locally which have had offspring(last 5 years-repopulating the coast).a magnificent landscape marred by the litter EVERYWHERE people travel to/fro.Tropea is like st.ives:trad archit. but tacky&shite due to tourism.good beach tho.saint irene rock=ace!Yr sunsets fro patio&pool tops!
Zambrone town offers every amenity and has a traditional piazza, bars, pizzeria, fresh meat from the local butcher, fresh fish delivered every day. Just at the entrance to the Amalfi complex you will find a local vegetable supplier, where you can purchase all locally grown fruit and vegetables and buy a large bottle of home made red wine for only €2.50 Fresh cheese is delivered straight from the dairy twice a week. Zambrone Marina has many seasonal bars and restaurants, with excellent food and a large selection of locally made wines available.
Nearby Tropea is well known for its miles of white sandy beaches and turquoise coloured water and of course it is nicknamed the home of the 'Red Onion'.
There is also an annual Blues festival in the centre of Tropea towards the end of August, live bands playing in an open air atmosphere most nights during the festival. Tropea dates back to the 17th century with cobbled narrow streets, charming restaurants and stunning views...it's wonderful.
Inland the interior of Calabria is dominated by the Sila & Aspromante National Parks. Here you can see lakes & luscious forests in which there are wolves, Golden Eagles, Eagle owls & the rare Bonellis Eagle. Take a visit & experience the small villages with the local women still dressed in the black traditional clothes. Visit the area around San Giovanni in the winter and you could find full skiing facilities!
