Our family of 8 (kids ages 9-18) spent a week at this amazing property and I cannot say enough about the surrounding beauty of this ranch and comforts of the cabin. Privacy surrounds you, and the beauty of the Wyoming mountains and valleys (complete with grazing cows and horses) is breathtaking. Jim the owner, went out of his way to accommodate our family. He and Charm answered every question and were timely in responding to e-mails and calls. They were so generous in renting us their motorized vehicles and they also provided us with maps for trails. At the end of an adventurous day, we would sit around the fire ring and roast s'mores. The cabin had a "rustic" feel with modern conveniences and it provided everything we needed with more than enough beds for our family. We cooked every meal in the cabin, even though they provided us with ample restaurant choices had we wanted to eat out. Note: Grocery stores are closed on Sundays!! On two different days, we ventured off the property for fly fishing in Alpine (rented gear from an outfit there but didn't catch anything!) and one day took a breathtaking 2-hour horseback ride on a guided trail through the Caribou Forest. We ended the ride crossing through a river, which for us novices, was really fun and exciting (you soak your shoes!). It was a short drive from the cabin between Etna and Alpine. We had such a fun and memorable trip and I would highly recommend this to anyone seeking privacy, adventure and beauty!

Dream Property!!

I cannot explain how wonderful this property is! If it were possible we would all move there and stay forever. We hiked all over the property and saw amazing wild life. We saw our first wild Mink just running around. There are horses on the property and they very friendly. The kids enjoyed feeding them and petting them each morning. The chipmunks are very funny and have no issue stealing a bit of food left behind on the picnic table.

We went into Jackson Hole twice which is one hour away and a nice drive. We also drove out to do fossil hunting which was amazing. The house is so beautiful you could be just happy sitting on the deck and watching a storm pass in the valley in front of the house. We have so many videos and pictures of rainbows so the picture posted is spot on - its rainbow city in Star Valley.

We hope to return in the future and when we do all 4 kids (age 9-15) and my better half say we have to stay here again. Enjoy, it is truly a wonderful property and I am grateful we were able to stay in it.
