Remodeled 2 Bedroom Plus Sleeper Sofa In Historic District

Pristine 2 bedroom, 1 bath 1920's adobe duplex on tree-lined street within the Historical Preservation area, 6 blocks from the Plaza. Architectural details preserved: original vigas, hardwood floors, arches, double-hung windows, and other craftsman details. Remodeled kitchen and bath. Beautifully decorated with comfort in mind. Sleeps five.

Furnished with family antiques, refinished vintage pieces, and art from Santa Fe and the Southwest, our home is most often described by guests as beautifully appointed, yet very comfortable. There are relaxing seating areas in three common rooms and two outdoor spaces. We live in the home ourselves at least two months a year, so we have stocked the kitchen, desks, drawers, and cabinets with everything one could need for either a vacation or everyday living.

We have been lucky enough to travel throughout Europe and Asia, where most often we have stayed in one place for some time and rented apartments or small houses. We know what it is like to rent someone's home for a vacation, so we have outfitted our home to help you feel totally at home as well.

Our neighborhood is quiet but friendly, made up largely of single-family homes and a few duplexes like ours, most from the 1930's or before.

We have off-street parking on the side of our house, and street parking is easy, right in front.

There is a bus line five minutes from the house on Sandoval and Paseo de Peralta.

And an airport shuttle service to Albuquerque stops just five minutes away (walking distance) at Hotel Santa Fe.

Lovely

Our stay at Casa Anita was just lovely. The house was charmingly textbook Santa Fe (99 years old we were told!), and tastefully and elegantly decorated. 5 of us (girlfriends from college) stayed there and found the sleeping setup sweet and cozy. We bought breakfast foods to make at the house, and the kitchen was stocked with all we needed (they have some great coffee mugs :) ). And it really is so conveniently located, just a 10 minute or so walk straight into the heart of the Plaza. Jeff was completely accessible and so friendly and helpful in meeting us at the property and giving us the scoop on the neighborhood and house. The house is on a wide tree-lined street - it all felt like Santa Fe just like we'd imagined. I highly recommend Casa Anita!

Cosy Casa in a Great Location!

We (husband and wife) stayed for nearly 2 months and loved our time in Santa Fe. The casa is beautifully decorated, well-stocked, and very comfortable. Staying here feels like having a real "Santa Fe" experience! The kitchen had absolutely everything we needed (and we cooked most meals at home). The location is fantastic, just a 10 min walk to the center of Santa Fe, and close to shops, including Whole Foods. Jeff, the neighbor who greeted us on our arrival, was very friendly and helpful. Upon check-in, Jeff told us that the heating system involved steam pipes that make periodic noise. During the day this was not a problem but at night the banging/clanking sound kept us awake so after the first week, we turned the heating off at night and slept cozy under a pile of blankets (there are ample blankets supplied in the house). There is some traffic noise from Galisteo St, but it didn't bother us much. There are a couple of bookshelves in the dining room stocked with a great selection of books and a few games. The Internet was reliable. Off-street parking was a plus. We definitely recommend this apartment, and you won't want to leave Santa Fe!

A cozy adobe abode!

A wonderful place to stay in Santa Fe. Jeff was a gracious host and oriented us well to the property, and the casita was spotlessly clean, well-equipped and very comfortable. The plaza is a short walk away, and there are countless excellent restaurants in the city. The kitchen is modern and has everything you need for cooking at home, such as a 30" gas range and full-sized fridge. Our only complaint was noisy radiators but we didn't need any heat in April so we did without quite comfortably. I understand they'll be fixed soon.

As a family of 4 (kids ages 13 and 10) it was ideal.

All in all, a wonderful place to stay.

Very nice and conveniently located

We stayed here for 4 nights in October of 2013.

The location is very convenient - 10-20 min walks to the Plaza / Canyon Rd., Whole Foods, La Choza, Maria's, and the Railyard (Santa Fe Clay, Farmer's Market on Saturdays, 2nd Street Brewery, REI, Tomasita's, Sanbusco Market center / El Tesoro Cafe, etc.)

The place is nicely appointed and extremely well stocked with quality kitchen and household items, pretty much everything one can think of. There is a very nice, covered, south facing patio as well as a smaller, shaded sitting area on the back patio. The two bedrooms are set up with queen beds so this works well for two couples.

The place was very clean and we had no problems whatsoever.

The adjacent street (Galisteo) gets somewhat busy during weekday mornings - it seems to be the main exit street to the north for the neighborhood, but it is mostly quiet during the day and it is a one-way so there is no return traffic in the afternoon.

The owner is very responsive to questions and there is a local person to to turn to if needed. As we had no issues we did not take advantage of this.

A very nice and conveniently located place that we will definitely return to.
