This delightful house was built in 1900 and is located about a block east of High Street and about 1 mile north of OSU (a 3-minute drive or a 20-minute walk). It has a large shady ravine-facing yard and has an off-street parking area on a gravel driveway suitable for 2 cars. It’s a short walk to numerous restaurants, two supermarkets, a CVS, a post office, and the High Street bus lines.
The house has a Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen, Bath, and Laundry on the first floor, and a large Bedroom with a queen-size bed on the second floor. There is a second bedroom with a set of twin beds on the second floor that is available for an extra fee upon request.
The Living Room and Dining Room have knotty pine floors, and the Bedrooms are carpeted. The Bathroom is off the Dining Room, at the foot of the steps to the Bedroom. The steps are somewhat steep, but they are carpeted and there is a solid handrail.
The Kitchen is nicely-equipped with dishes, silverware, pots, pans, etc., and has a 24” electric range, a side-by-side refrigerator, and a dishwasher. It also has a microwave, coffee maker, toaster, mixer, and blender. It includes a comfortable built-in sofa and a small 'table for two'. There is a washer-dryer unit in a space adjacent to the Kitchen. The Bath has a toilet, a lavatory, and a tub with shower. Towels and bed sheets are provided.
The house has gas heat and central AC. It is also equipped with wireless internet and cable TV. There is a 43” smart TV in the Living Room.
The large shady back yard has a porch swing, a picnic table with chairs, a small gazebo, and many mature trees. A charcoal BBQ grill is also provided. The yard is entirely fenced in and is bordered on the back edge by the Glen Echo Ravine greenery.
This is a no-smoking, no-pets property and is not suitable for families with children.
