The Quartier Montorgueil is famous for its market and semi-pedestrian streets full of beautiful shops and restaurants.

Decadent, traditional, and sometimes downright sinful, the 2nd is the neighbourhood Émile Zola called 'The Belly of Paris', the traditional central market from which a network of passageways and cobbled streets ripple out.

The marché Montorgueil is one of Paris's most famous markets, a kingdom of food in itself full of amazing boulangeries, butchers, cheese shops, wine cellars and cafés... A dream come true for a gourmet.

The luminous Galerie Vivienne, opened in 1823, has been entirely renovated, under whose glass ceilings you'll find the charming tea salon A Priori Thé, the perfect spot for a relaxing lunch or tea.

The neighbourhood is lively and safe; very central you are within walking distance of the Louvre and the Centre Pompidou but also less than 30 minutes away from most of the tourist attractions and sites of Paris.
