Aspen hillside home

  • 5 of 5

This interesting four story home with great view of Aspen Mountain is only a 5 minute walk from downtown. The house is very well stocked with everything you could want in the kitchen, extra towels, two sets of washer and dryer, and firewood for the fireplace. I loved sitting at the window in the living room and watching far away skiers ski down the slopes. At dusk, the view through the glass wall by the stairway is awesome. We would definitely recommend this home to anyone visiting Aspen.

Perfect house for large groups

  • 5 of 5

We have a group of 3-4 couples that have taken an annual ski trip to different ski areas for over 10 years. This was our favorite place to stay on all of our trips (We've done Aspen 3 times ). The layout is great that we all had our own space with a large common area to enjoy together. Each bedroom had had their own deck with views of the mountains and the river.

The dining table was round and seated eight adults comfortably. The hot tub was very nice too.

If we were going skiing we just caught the shuttle across the street or if we were just going in to town in was a short 10 min walk.

The next time we return we will be sure to look for this first

Owner's Response: So glad you had such a great trip, and super glad you'll look us up again. We are planning to renovate 3 of our 4 bathrooms later this year, so our house will be even better! Thanks!

Perfect size house for a family of ten. Great location

  • 4 of 5

Initially we were unsure if the house would be big enough for us all. The pictures on here don't capture the size of four-floor property. But when we arrived we were very happy with the size and layout of the rooms. It was perfect for us, a family if ten with teenagers and toddlers. The living, kitchen dining area was large with two sitting areas. With a further sitting area on the floor above. Every bedroom had its own deck with views of aspen mountain. And the living room has a large deck with retracting glass doors that open up the whole living room to the outside.

The kitchen is well stocked and there was a welcome basket for us when we arrived

The underfloor hearing was fantastic, and worked too well. At times we had to turn it down. And the hot tub and steam room were very welcome after a hard day on the ski slopes.

The only slight criticism was the open balustrade. Just not suitable for toddlers as they could easily fit through the gaps. A baby gate was provided which helped but we had to improvise at the bottom of the stairs to prevent the little ones climbing up.

The owner and property manager were very responsive to our questions before and during our stay

A super property which we would definitely use again and would recommend to anyone

Unique house in great location

  • 5 of 5

The topography dictates that this house has quite a few stairs, so it is not a house for everyone. But for us 8 adults, no children, it was perfect. Four bedrooms each have their own bathroom. There is a fireplace in the living room, comfortable couches and chairs, ample kitchen, dining room seating about 10, and amazing views of Ajax from many decks and windows. The interior reads like a large greenhouse with potted geraniums and loads of light. The brick and stone work coming from outside to inside in areas of the house is a design element that makes this house quite unique. And, there is a hot tub! Location wise, it is half a block from the bus stop taking skiers to the slopes of Aspen in less than 10 minutes. We loved it!
