Sri Lanka is third biggest tea producing country in the world. Tara Garden is surrounded by neat tea plantation. For an ultimate holiday souvenir, you can take home a packet of tea that you picked yourself. You will be amazed to see how efficiently and quickly our tea pluckers manage to fill their baskets.
But tea is not all Tara Garden has to offer. Around eighty different varieties of fruit and vegetable are grown in Sri Lanka. You can find many of them (bananas, three different types of mango, papaya, green oranges, coconuts and many more) growing in Tara Garden and therefore enjoy a unique agro experience.

Great location allows you to pay a short visit to a wide diversity of places (Galle, turtle hatchery, mask exhibition, tea shops, fruit/vegetable market, safari on Bentota river..). We’ll be happy to arrange and guide you to visit a more remote place as well (Yala national park, Sigiriya, Candy, Elephant orphanage etc.).
