Celebrating 100+ years...This 1914 'Four Square' home is located in the historic Cheesman Park neighborhood, adjacent to the Capitol Hill neighborhood. In 2002, a Denver architect purchased the building and spent $475,000 restoring it to two single-family attached homes. The renovation project garnered a 2006 Restoration for Living Award from Historic Denver. Mission Revival and Spanish Colonial influences, Art Nouveau stained glass, and a turn-of-the-century reproduction fireplace from England are just a few of this home's architectural features.

This superbly renovated and immaculately maintained home is centrally located and close to all that Denver has to offer. Numerous restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and grocery stores (King Soopers, Whole Foods and Safeway) are within walking distance. Four blocks away from historic Cheesman Park, where you can enjoy its walking/jogging/biking paths, flower beds, pavilion, picnic tables, playground, and scenic views. Cheesman Park and the neighborhood around it abound with history that goes back to the founding of Denver City, as Denver was named in 1859.

The home consists of three levels:

MAIN LEVEL — Living room with gas fireplace and Sony 55-inch HDTV w/DirecTV, kitchen, dining room and powder room. The kitchen is fully equipped for a simple meal or gourmet dinner. High-end appliances, outdoor natural gas grill, and dining room directly off the kitchen seats 2-6 people.

UPSTAIRS — Master suite with king-size bed, dresser, Sony 50-inch flat-screen HDTV w/DirecTV, balcony, luxurious bathroom and walk-in closet.

DOWNSTAIRS — Second bedroom with queen-size bed, dresser, Sony 50-inch flat-screen HDTV w/DirecTV, desk with ergonomic chair, full bathroom and washer/dryer.

This home offers several great spots to sit outside and enjoy the afternoon or evening. In addition to the balcony off the master suite, there is a covered porch and walled courtyard. Grab a book, your favorite beverage and enjoy being in one of Denver's best neighborhoods. In the spring and summer, the courtyard is a great place for morning coffee, lunch, or a backyard BBQ. The courtyard includes an outdoor dining table with seating for six people, and a natural gas grill. The front of the house faces west so you can watch the sunset every night from either the front porch or balcony. There is a detached, oversized (562 sq. ft.) two-car garage that can fit full size trucks with room to spare for luggage, skis or additional items.

If you are looking for a beautiful home in the heart of Denver this is the property for you. Quiet neighborhood with all the amenities you could want. I highly recommend and would rebook this property again.

A wonderful and elegant home

A great home that was just perfect for our Denver stay. Centrally located, we actually could walk to many places we wanted to see. The Botanical Gardens are spectacular and should be on everyone's must see list.

The only downside is that the home is so nice and furnished so well it will completely spoil you for anywhere else!

Thank you for making our stay so comfortable. We certainly will plan for a return trip next year.

Beautiful home near downtown Denver

We spent three days in Denver, combining a business trip and an anniversary Craig was an great host, and communicated with us very effectively both before and during our visit. His house is a real gem – just exactly as it appears in the photos. It is beautifully appointed and cozy at the same time. His information book is the best I've seen (and I've seen quite a few!). The excellent nearby restaurants didn't hurt either.

Craig also provided us with a guest pass to the botanical gardens (4 blocks away). What a treasure that is for Denver. We spent a whole morning there, and I will go back again when I'm next in Denver.

Amazing. Fabulous. Outstanding. Three words to describe everything about this lovely property and owner. We are a repeat guest and will be for many years to come. Unit is fully equipped with top of the line everything. Owner is attentive, courteous, professional and most concerned about guests and their special requests. A Ten Star Property

My husband & I had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful home for seven nights. I have never rented a home that was so impeccably furnished and incredibly detailed. High quality throughout the home from the Wüsthof knives, Mikasa dishes, Weber grill, high end comfortable Craftsman furniture, plush Restoration Hardware towels and amazing bedding. We also had the use of an empty and very clean two car garage for our car and bikes, which was incredibly convenient. High end appliances throughout, including the washer and dryer. The owner, Craig, is very professional, thorough and has thought of everything. He has even included an adapter cord for the iHome in the bedroom to accommodate older iPhones. This home is beautiful, inside and out, and is a Craftsman masterpiece with beautiful, high quality wood detailing. And did I mention spotlessly clean?!? The location is great. We walked or rode our bikes everywhere; grocery stores, restaurants and downtown. I LOVED staying at this home, and can highly recommend to the most discriminating person. You will NOT be disappointed!

I was very impressed.

The property photos don't do justice to how wonderfully renovated & the very high quality of its finish-out.

The Appliances, Towels, Bed Mattresses/Bed Linens, were sublimely Over-The-Top! Wonderful location - beautiful neighborhood.


The owner was kind, courteous and very professional.

I really can't say enough great things about this property & or the owner.
