The Capitol Hill neighborhood has 59 inner-city parks. These triangles and squares were designed by Pierre L'Enfant, the French-born urban designer who designed the basic plan for Washington, DC. The parks provide an urban green space giving residents and visitors a nice place to enjoy the outdoors.
I, Vernon was raised in the Hampton Roads area of VA and moved to the DC area shortly after completing my bachelors degree in EE from ODU. Go Monarchs and a Masters from George Washington University. My wife, Ashley is originally from the Philly area and a huge Eagles fan. She's currently a Nurse Practitioner with her degrees from UVA and George Washington University. We love our home, traveling when we can along with exercising, running, biking and last but not least.... our adopted dog whom we LOVE TO DEATH!!!

We just LOVE DC. There's SOOO much to do in DC. Anywhere you walk, there's something going on to have a good time.
Off-street parking for up to 2 cars. VERY RARE!!!
This property was as perfect as advertised. The home was peaceful and large enough for our group of 7. It was very convenient and to top it off it has its own parking area. The street of not having to parallel park a large SUV was great. The property is well maintained and perfect if you are ever heading to the DC area.
Wonderful location, and very well presented. Everything we needed, including off-street parking - which is such a bonus when you have a rental car. Easy to travel to all the Washington sites from this location. Very good beds and great living areas. Spotlessly clean and felt like home. Definitely would stay here again.
We were here with three of our adult daughters and really enjoyed the comfort of this row home. Good location, fifteen minute walk to Capital. Home had anything you could need except there was Kleenex and a better quality of toilet tissue is suggested.
Vernon & Ashley's townhouse on Capitol Hill was perfect for our family sibling reunion. The house was immaculate, charming and the beds were really comfortable. A couple of us have back troubles, but there was not a single complaint about sleeping comfort; a miracle in my family. Had we not had older siblings with us, we would have walked nearly everywhere (DC Harvest, Lincoln Park Kitchen, Barracks Row, Eastern Market, the US Capitol). The location is fabulous! We were surprised and delighted at how well equipped and supplied the kitchen was. We didn't cook at all, but we could have very easily without much improvisation.
Uber ruled the days and thanks to promo codes provided by Vernon, a few of our rides were free. Our maximum wait for Uber was 5 minutes and drivers were helpful and friendly. Though the house is lovely and practical, but the parking was a godsend. Do not underestimate the difficulty of parking in DC - it's nearly impossible unless you live in a neighborhood and have a permit. The completely secured parking was golden. Two full-sized cars were very easily accommodated.
The property description in the listing was extremely accurate and the virtual tour really sold us. We needed one thing from our host during our visit and got it very promptly and unobtrusively. Checking in and checking out was effortless. We'd highly recommend this property and wouldn't hesitate to return.
The property and it's facilities were brilliant. It is only a 10/15 minute walk from The National Mall. The property is very spacious and clean, plenty of room for our family of 6. The owner was very helpful throughout our stay. We would highly recommend the property.
Owners are excellent to work with before, during and after visit. They provided everything you needed to know about the property as well as helpful information about getting around. Would highly recommend!
