This quaint bungalow is on the back of a 19th century Victorian know as "Glass Gable" and is just waiting for your visit. In 2000 Walt and Diana Brown purchased this property and began restoration and remodeling. The Carriage House was remodeled into the lovely accommodation that it is today by adding a family room with enclosed washer and dryer, kitchen and full bath. The 500 foot upstairs is a carpeted master bedroom with a gas fireplace. It features built in bookcase's, two large closets, and windows galore.
Parking is on the street and literally at your front door. The back door leads to a partially fenced back yard that is shared with others that choose to stay in Glass Gable.
The Carriage house is minutes from downtown Carlisle and is easily accessible by a short (6 block) scenic, historic walk or a couple of minutes by car. Dickinson College is within walking distance. The Central Pennsylvania Ballet School is also within walking or bike-riding distance.
Many people choose to stay while visiting Gettysburg and the Civil War Trails, or the Army Heritage Center and the Army War College. Cumberland Valley is full of History and "The Carriage House" is a comfortable relaxing spot to stay while you explore.
