Diamond Head/Ocean/Mountain View, 2 Bed/2 Bath Waikiki Penthouse, Free WI-FI

You'll be sitting on top of the world at this spacious 2 bedroom, 2 bath Penthouse with open living room and fully equipped kitchen. The jaw-dropping 270-degree view includes Diamond Head, sweeping ocean view, Ala Wai Canal, Ala Wai golf course, Ft DeRussy park, the beautiful Koolau Mountain Range and both sunrises and sunsets!

The bedrooms, living/dining room and kitchen all have spectacular views. Every Friday night you will have views of the fireworks launched from the nearby Hilton Hawaiian Village.

Our penthouse is privately owned, managed and maintained. The Hawaiian Monarch is a mixture of hotel-owned and privately-owned units. Our penthouse is not part of the Hawaiian Monarch hotel pool.

Onsite is a convenience store, the Cream Pot breakfast and lunch restaurant (very popular with Japanese), The King's Pub sports bar with nightly live music and Aloha Sushi which is Japanese fast food plus hamburgers. Also on site are motor scooter and car rentals.

The huge recreation deck features a large swimming pool, Jacuzzi, lounge chairs and barbecue grills.

The building has 24-hour security and uses a secure Key Card Access Elevator System; our guests are provided with security key cards to operate the elevators to the penthouse and access the recreation deck.

The Penthouse is conveniently located close to many restaurants: Tony Roma's, Cheeseburger Waikiki, Vietnamese, Chinese, Indian, Japanese, Hard Rock Cafe, Italian, Korean and much more.

In town for a convention? The penthouse is within easy walking distance to both the Hawaii Convention Center and the Hilton Hawaiian Village resort.

Is shopping your thing? The penthouse is within walking distance of Luxury Row, Waikiki Beach Walk, Ala Moana Shopping Center and hundreds of boutique shops.

And don't forget it is about a 10 minute walk to the most famous beach in the world!

About Steve Marcotte

We have been in the Hawaii Vacation Rental business since 1993. (click see All My Rental Listings below to view our other properties and read reviews).

Steve is a real estate broker and has been licensed in Hawaii since 1999. Iku is a licensed real estate agent and a native Japanese speaker. We have traveled extensively and this gives us an understanding of what our guests need to make their stay enjoyable and safe. And being owners of rentals gives us the experience to help others buy and sell rentals and second homes.

We founded a vacation rental company named A Piece of Paradise on Hawaii Island (aka The Big Island) in 1996 and managed wonderful vacation homes in a special area named Kapoho. In 2011 we sold A Piece of Paradise and began relocating to Honolulu. A multi-year search for properties followed, and our hard work paid off!

In addition to managing our own properties we also love to help others buy their own piece of paradise in Hawaii. Even if you cannot live in Hawaii full time, It is a wonderful feeling to know that you have property is here and you can come whenever you want. And when you are not staying at your property the rent can help pay the bills.

Hawaiian Monarch

The Penthouse 202 was located in a central location, within walking distance to everything. The suite was presented as shown on the VRBO website.

This is accommodation I would recommend and not hesitate to book again. Views over Waikiki and back to Diamond Head are fantastic.

The building is secured after hours for that added safety.

Great location. Short walk to Hilton Hawaiin village. Close to beach and close to bus and trolly.

We had a wonderful time. Our condo was fantastic. Very well appointed. Clean, spacious with a fantastic view. We will stay there again if available on our next visit to Honolulu. Steve was great to work with as well. Very helpful. Do not hesitate to stay here. As well, there is a great hamburger place right on the corner by the condo. Food and service when we went was exceptional. Aloha

Perfect introduction to Waikiki

Wonderful panoramic views of Diamond Head, Waikiki and the ocean. Great seat for the Friday fireworks. Condo is comfortable and convenient once you orient to the craziness of Waikiki. The owner was extremely helpful and available. He went out of his way to print our ticket voucher for Pearl Harbor. Our party of four adults spent 5 nights. Now we are moving on to the Big Island. September 2016.

Great view, excellent location, nice property- couldn't ask for anything more

Even though I didn't meet Steve he was in communication before and during my visit. Great view of the water from both bedrooms. Friday night fireworks were just outside and looked great. Everything you need for a comfortable stay is already there. The access to certain floors from the elevator isn't convenient, but nothing our host could do about that.

Short walks to the beach and dining. GREAT breakfast place inside the property. Overall a very nice stay.

Penthouse was Exactly as Advertised

The penthouse was exactly as advertised. Views are excellent. Accommodations are fine. Beds are comfortable. Washer, dryer, refrigerator-freezer, coffee maker, utensils, and linens are all in the condo. Everything's spotless. It was perfect for us because we wanted 2 separate bedrooms, each with its own bathroom.

We had to contact Steve, the owner, about one minor issue. He handled it promptly and well.

There are restaurants nearby. There's a decent coffee shop in the building.

The facility is a little out of the way. We were 4 blocks from the Hawaiian Village. We spent a lot of time at the beach, restaurants, bar, and shops in the village. The Hawaiian Village puts on a fireworks display on Friday nights. You can see the fireworks from the penthouse. We watched Fourth of July fireworks (based at Ala Moana Beach Park) from our living room.

If you want to get down to the middle of the action on Waikiki, you have to walk a long ways; or take public transportation, a shuttle, or a taxi from the neighborhood of the facility.

We rented a car for part of our visit. Parking is available for a daily fee in a 5-story garage on premises. The garage fills up late at night, and we almost didn't find a parking place at about 10:30 pm one night.

The base price shown online for the unit was not the total cost for the facility. The price we paid also included taxes, a cleaning fee, and a couple minor charges.

The base price shown on the VRBO web page is an Average Nightly Rent calculated by VRBO from the Rent-only rates over a period of time (I do not know what time period they use and do not know why they only use rent). Thanks for the hospitality

Myself and 3 others travelled from Australia and this penthouse is a must stay at when visiting Hawaii.

It's central location to everything is a perfect option which allows you to walk to landmarks and central meeting points, whether it's for the beach, shopping, drinking, eating, fireworks... what ever you are looking for.

The amenities was everything I expected.

Being able to fall asleep and wake up to the views of Waikiki Beach and the Ocean was breathtaking, especially the view of Diamond Head whilst enjoying Mai Tai's made my first trip to Hawaii that even more mesmerizing and special.

Steve was also a pleasure to deal with and everything from the booking to accessing the penthouse was smooth and easy.

I highly recommend staying at this place and more than likely whenever I visit Hawaii I will definitely stay here again.

The world famous Waikiki Beach is only a 10 minute walk. Many restaurants (Thai, Japanese, Hard Rock Cafe, Irish, Wolfgang's Steak House, Italian and MANY MANY more) are within walking distance.

People attending conventions in Honolulu find the Penthouse a reasonably priced alternative to staying at a hotel. If family members are traveling too then it is even less expensive compared to a hotel.

It is within easy walking distance of popular convention facilities such as the Hawaii Convention Center, Hilton Hawaiian Village, Ala Moana Hotel and the Hawaii Prince Hotel. It is also within a longer walking distance or short drive or taxi ride to meeting and conventions at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa, Waikiki Beach Marriott, Sheraton Waikiki, Halekulani, Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach and the Royal Hawaiian.
