Tastefully appointed two-bedroom house in desirable tree lined neighborhood, one block from McKinley Park. It includes one bedroom with a queen sized bed, a 2nd bedroom with a comfortable twin sleeper sofa and TV, bathroom with bath and shower, washer-dryer, kitchen dining room, living room with queen sleeper sofa, large flat screen TV and many other amenities. In the backyard, a mature oak tree veils a sweet patio garden that includes a dining table and chaise lounge.
Great location! Walk to McKinley Park, one of Sacramento's premier urban parks with a 1.5 acre rose garden, a beautiful newly restored children's playground, duck pond, tennis courts, swimming pool, library and a walking/jogging trail. An array of activities such as yoga and other classes are offered on a regular basis.
Several excellent restaurants nearby, close to downtown Sacramento, the State Capitol, Sacramento State University, UC Davis Medical Center and Cal Expo... all with easy freeway access from the house.
This is a lovely 2 bedroom home in a very quiet area, steps away from McKinley Park. The beds are comfortable (there is a twin pull-out in the 2nd bedroom) and the AC worked beautifully. The backyard was a nice place to relax and read my book. Easy access to the freeway. There is plenty of parking available, and you can park in the driveway if you like. Safeway and Starbucks are an easy drive just down the street. I travel to Sacramento often, and would love to stay in this home again!
The house was absolutely perfect for us. Every bit as nice as the photos, with great thought and care having been taken with the details. The location is perfect and we truly enjoyed our stay and hope to have the opportunity to return.
Nancy was very patient will all of the changes I had to make on my original reservations changing dates and guests. She was responsive and made sure my sister and her family were greeted and showed the house even though they arrived late at night. They found the house very comfortable, clean, and attractively decorated. They were happy they could use the backyard in the evening when it cooled down. All in all, a nice rental and an organized, helpful owner. Recommended.
My husband and I just ended a second very enjoyable stay at this charming house. It’s comfortably and attractively furnished and has a small shaded patio for some lazy time while the new washer and dryer take care of the laundry. There has obviously been a lot of thought put into making this an easy house to live in. An added bonus is the lovely McKinley park a short block away and good restaurants and shopping reasonably nearby. We are happy to make this our first choice for a future visit to Sacramento.
First off, the location: It's the nicest area in Sacramento, as far as I can tell. Lovely streets with cool older houses with interesting architecture, tall trees with lots of shade, near a very nice park. The neighborhood itself was a destination.
The house is very cool. I mean this literally—the big shade trees keep it nice and cool. The back patio is a wonderful oasis. But I mean it in the other sense. It's got interesting architecture, decorations. It's well appointed, very comfy. It is perfect for a couple; you could squeeze in one or two more people, but for 2, it's quaint and cozy.
The woman who checked us in was friendly and helpful, and checkout was a breeze.
This is really a beautiful home. I understand the owner is an interior decorator. The location could not be more perfect either: very centrally located and McKinley Park is truly a half block away. As with most very small homes, the A/C is tricky. It is either too hot or too cold. Since it the home is only one floor and windows are easily accessible, I was quite worried about opening windows, especially at night, which would have been more pleasant for sleep.
But other than that, everything is beautifully appointed, there is a cozy backyard, and all the basics are supplied.
