We are long time Louisiana fishermen. We have tried everywhere in Louisiana and cannot find a place that beats Dularge. From Freshwater to Saltwater, offshore to inshore the fishing is unbelievable

16 of us came down for a 3 night stay in the full lodge. Couldn't be a better place to get away. Nice place! We'll definitely be back. Good fishing, too.
What a wonderful weekend I had, along with my my girlfriends, on our annual summer getaway! One of the girl's invited us to go on a fishing adventure. We all agreed, lets do it! We totally enjoyed this little spot of Louisiana heaven! Our cabin was spacious, yet cozy. We even enjoyed a personal chef for the day. The fishing was a first for me, and I can't tell you how much I enjoyed it. I commend our Captain for giving us a fun fishing experience. Our fish were huge! I couldn't tell my husband enough nice things about Reel In Dularge, and suggested he and his friends plan a getaway soon!
The Reel Inn is the perfect spot to relax with great friends. I was amazed at the amenities this place has to offer. I recently booked The Reel Inn for a girl's weekend. My friends were shocked that I would book a fishing lodge for our yearly girl's trip ( I was shocked too). We are girly girls and this was definitely out of our comfort zone. We traded our high heels in for fishing reels and had a BLAST! I am already considering a weekend trip with my husband to The Reel Inn. I can't wait to show my husband this place AND I can't wait to show him the spot where I caught a HUGE fish! :)
What a first class place!! Amazing interior. Clean bunkrooms and bathrooms. Excellent food. Impressive dock with surround sound. Loved my time there this past weekend. I can't wait for my next stay at the Reel Inn Dularge.
For our annual girls' getaway, we decided to explore this area of our state as several of us had never been south of I10 or fishing in the gulf. We decided to book the entire cabin so we could each have our own room and bathroom as the cabin has 5 bedrooms. Continuing with our "Doing the Du" trip, we booked a chef to cook for us one day and chartered a fishing trip with a Captain the owner recommended. After our sight seeing drive to The Reel Inn, we excitingly hopped out of the car. The cabin was much larger than I had pictured it in my mind. It was easily 3000 square feet with a wrap around porch and a huge shaded space below the cabin. The dock across the street was equally impressive with signs boasting 5 Captains and their boats. We loaded our luggage on the cargo elevator and headed up the stairs to check out the cabin and retrieve our luggage. As I walked up the stairs, I immediatey noticed the 180 degree view of the marshland and lake. The cabin itself was clean, clutter free and cozy with a spacious kitchen and living area. The beds were all nicely made with the bath towels folded neatly atop. There was a built in shelf unit to place your bags and to hang your clothes. The bathroom size was spacious as well with a standard full size tub/shower. We didn't even end up using all the bedrooms since they had two bunk beds with full size beds on the bottom bunk because after all half the fun of a girls trip is staying up and visiting. The cabin had wifi and satellite TV so we were able to tune in when we wanted. One morning I woke early and decided to sit outside to drink my coffee. The sunrise over the unobstructed horizon was beautiful. We watched he sunset too while swinging on the swings on the dock. We had a grand time on the boat with our captain. And we thoroughly enjoyed having our meals prepared by the chef and maybe more excited that he washed the dishes too! The shopping in town was great as everything is centrally located. The only thing I didn't care for was that the ice maker was down stairs for obvious fishing ice chest reasons but a small annoyance. But having to go outside late at night to get ice you can't help but notice the glittering stars filling the night sky. You can't see the stars like that in the city! And if you plan to be outside looking at the stars for a while, don't forget the bug spray!
Girl's just want to have fun - this was the perfect place for a "Girl's Trip"! All of us are very girly girls and this was still one of our best getaways. We ate like queens thanks to the wonderful chef, fished and caught over 35 pound Bull Reds or something like that - lol, relaxed and made lasting memories. The fishing captain was very patient with 5 girls who all needed help. He did make us reel in our own fish and although a total workout, we were grateful because we could honestly say we owned our big catches of the day. So much fun packed into one weekend! It was the perfect weekend to get away from "everyday life". The lodge itself was immaculate and had everything we needed. This place is not just for men! Girl's can enjoy it just as much, if not more! ; )
