A hidden jewel in westside of Cascades. Exceptional value. Restful Relaxing -- Best found.

  • 5 of 5

This is a beautiful crafted timber home with log exterior. Situated in a forest of alder trees, has peek-a-view view of the spectacular mountains of the Skykomish Valley. We were grandparents, our son, his wife and our eighteen-month old granddaughter. The 'hidden kid playroom' off a loft bedroom was a delight for her. House and all the room appointments are wonderful. Great sleeps by all. Kitchen equipped with everything needed for cooking. The Lower level projector screen was great with Netflix movies. Also, the hot tub was a relaxing end to our days. Wonderful place to find quiet and solitude!

Stevens Pass is just East on Highway 2 and Leavenworth forty minutes. Area has great history of early railroad construction 1890-1930's over and eventually through Steven's Pass, i.e. at grade trails, abandoned tunnels, etc. Yes, we will return!

Wonderful cabin, quiet and secluded.

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed sitting by the campfire at night watching the bats fly by and even saw a huge owl! We loved the peace and quiet and sitting on the deck with our coffee in the morning. Cabin stayed cool and comfortable even with the almost 90 degree heat. Beds were comfy. We would return again!

Absolute perfection!!!!

  • 5 of 5

Loved our stay at this gorgeous well-equipped perfect "little" cabin in the woods. Tons of space to stretch out and relax. Loved the firepit , gas grill, hot tub , kitchen, and views from the decks. So close to great hiking too. Everything has been thought of, from plush towels to a pancake griddle. We will most certainly be back! Thanks Dawn!!!!

Peaceful weekend getaway

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I, along with our golden retriever, recently stayed at the Crisler cabin for a long weekend and we had a fantastic time there. The house is beautiful, inside and out, and the views are stunning. We loved spending time on the wraparound porch, sipping coffee or enjoying a meal, or just curled up on one of the many comfy couches in the house, reading or napping.

Dawn provided very helpful guidance on great hikes, both right outside the house and a 15 - 20-minute drive away. We even found an old mine on one of the hikes. Very cool!

Dawn provided fantastic service to us. There was a sweet note for us when we arrived (notifying us of extra towels for our dog--thanks, Dawn!). Also, all our e-mails to Dawn were promptly addressed.

This was a great getaway for us. We cooked, played games, hiked, napped, and enjoyed the hot tub. I'd recommend this place to anyone.

The only critique I could give this place--and I'm slightly embarrassed to even say this, because it's really not a big deal, but here it is--is that the internet service for Netflix streaming was pretty slow. Andy and I love West Wing and we tried to watch an episode one night, and it just wasn't happening. The service kept cutting in and out. We both decided that we weren't at Crisler cabin to watch TV, anyway, so we ditched that dumb idea and instead enjoyed the peace of the cabin!

Thank you again, Dawn, for making us feel right at home.

Wonderful place in the woods

  • 5 of 5

My wife, daughter, son-in-law, & 5 month old granddaughter spent two days of the warmest days of the summer at the Chrisler Cabin. It served us as a sleeping retreat for a nearby annual family gathering. In reality, this "cabin" is really a very nice, modern, three level home located on a sunny, isolated clearing among towering trees with a picturesque living room window revealing the North Cascades. The home is well built, well maintained and nicely furnished with woodsy pacific northwest décor. During an unusual NW heat wave with temps in the 90s it maintained a comfortable temperature and has plenty of ventilation. There are several beautiful outdoor areas for relaxing and taking in the sights, sounds, and smells of the Cascades. The breezes through the trees and abundant bird songs added to it's beauty. For those who want to cool off or are in need of an aquatic adventure there are calm, clear pools of the Skykomish River nearby for enjoyment on hot summer days. The area is surrounded by many premier hiking trails and Steven's Pass is a brief 15 minutes away. Our only regret is that the only Sasquatches we saw there were a part of the interior northwest theme!

We found everything we needed, were very comfortable in this wonderful home and likely will return. Thank you Dawn & Matt for sharing your home with us.
