Overview

About the property

3 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, Sleeps 6

28-Day Minimum Rental - Please do not inquire for periods less than 28 days. Thank you. Per county ordinance, this home is in a location that DOES NOT ALLOW rentals for less than 28 days.

This Tropical Keys home on Ramrod Key is an ideal spot for your vacation home with 3 Bedrooms and 2 Bathrooms. Cathedral ceilings, tropical colors, large kitchen, canal, shaded BBQ area under house, and the infamous outdoor Keys shower make this home a fun place to dock your boat and have a fantastic Florida Keys island lifestyle vacation.

Live the life we love here! The large corner lot allows for plenty of parking for cars, boat trailers or an RV. There is also a fenced-in area for your pets.

Boating: Ramrod Key can accommodate boats with a 3' controlling depth outside of the main channel, which takes you into Newfound Harbor with super easy access to the ocean or the bay.

Just outside the main channel is the super fun Picnic Island where all locals and tourists go for a fun day of anchoring your boat in shallow water, to explore and play with the kids, pets and your friends in the water or on our famous little island. A great place to stop on your way in or out to the deeper water or just play there all day.

Dolphin Marina is just a short boat ride around the corner on Little Torch Key where you can launch your boat, get gas or whatever you need before heading out on the water for the day. Head north in Pine Channel for flats fishing or visit our white beaches of the Content Keys or Marvin Key. Or head south 5 miles to Looe Key Reef, where you can find the best diving and snorkeling in the Florida Keys, or the Busch Adolphus wreck, home to some of the biggest grouper ever seen!

Local island living: After a day on the water, you can relax in the shade under the house and cook up that fish, or just hang in the shade with a cool drink in hand.

Enjoy our local establishments on our island. Looe Key Reef Resort is at the entrance of the island where you can enjoy nightly entertainment and dancing, with a great bar menu for something to eat. Across US1 is Boondocks Grill and Miniature Golf for full family fun! Also nightly entertainment and dancing, full restaurant menu and many local weekend events. If you wish to travel a little outside our island, Key West is close by for limitless entertainment, bars, restaurants, culture.

Have the best vacation ever and make The Sommer Reef House your yearly vacation home!

Additional Location Information:

If you've had enough of an overcrowded and weary world, the islands of the Lower Keys are the place for you. Here, you can snorkel or dive over the Looe Key coral reef, ride a bicycle through Key Deer country, or take a fishing adventure in the back country or troll the deep blue waters beyond the reef.

At the end of the day, you can trade stories with family and friends at one of this area's tiki bars, RV parks, campgrounds, quaint resorts or licensed vacation homes. The Earthy fragrance of mangrove forests and wetlands is never far away.

The Lower Keys begin where the Florida Keys island chain takes a graceful westerly turn toward the sunset, shortly after the famous Seven Mile Bridge. It is a quiet region of small resorts, down-home restaurants, single-family homes, untrammeled wildernesses and rich history.

Explore the National Key Deer Refuge, a large expanse of mostly undeveloped pine lands where the diminutive Key Deer live.
