Large, spacious, warm, inviting, with all of wants and. All needs taken care of. My retreat group of seven guys each had their own bed and tons of space to stretch into. The living room provided a perfect conversation pit. Wonderful view of the lake! Our host we're very communicative. We will definitely be back!

Cozy, Beautifully Decorated, Extremely Well Supplied and Immaculately Clean

  • 5 of 5

A group of seven women and one man (I know, right?) stayed here the nights of 1-20-17 and 1-21-17. The circular driveway easily accommodated four cars. We gained access according to owners' instructions with no problems. The house is so beautifully decorated and really makes it feel like home. Although we all brought everything we needed, the house was so generously supplied that should anything be forgotten there would be no need to run to the store -- coffee, snacks, shampoos, soaps, etc., etc. We all were very impressed with this. There is more than ample space for meals - two tables and counter seating. There are a lot of games and movies as well as a very neat popcorn maker. The porches (upper and lower level) were great and had hammock chair swings, tables, a bench swing, and ceiling fans. The view to the lake is gorgeous and a summer vacation stay would be wonderful. The owners were very prompt to respond to all questions and put in extra effort to return items we had left. We're looking forward to renting this lovely house in the future. ONE NOTE FOR GOING INTO THE SUBDIVISION: Go into the front entrance off Route 3 (Germanna Hwy.). Our GPS took us in the back way (Flat Run Rd. - 601) to a gate that requires a bar-code to get through. If you find yourself at the back entrance, Flat Run Rd. does go on around to Route 3 if you follow it on out. Turn right onto Route 3 and entrance is a little further down on the right.

Wonderful place on the water!

  • 5 of 5

We came from AZ,NY,KS,MD and PA for a celebration weekend and this gorgeous place was a big part of our wonderful memories. All was in order when we arrived--clean, tidy yet very welcoming. The owners were very accommodating with some last minute changes and a pleasure to deal with overall.

The spacious great room was perfect for gathering and sharing meals. The kitchen was well equipped and functional. And the little nooks and downstairs game room were perfect for small groups and alone time. The 13 and 15 year old found the chess set before we even unpacked! The early riser among us loved the sunrises with the mists coming off the water. Perfection!

Enjoyed our stay!

  • 4 of 5

Recently stayed 3 nights at Water Water Everywhere. The house was very nice and extremely well stocked particularly in the kitchen and bathroom (toiletries and toilet paper provided). Linens, bath towels, and swim towels were also provided. We really only had to bring our clothes and personal items. A canoe, kayak, and paddle board were available for use...and we used them all. The family also enjoyed the good selection of puzzles. We relaxed on the hammock, hanging chairs, and outdoor furniture both on the decks and the lakeside patio. Many games of pool were played as well. The beautiful lake views added to our relaxation. The only downside.....even though we pulled the Hokie garden flag out of the shed, wore our Hokie attire, and scattered our Hokie memorabilia around the living room.....the Hokies still lost. Patrick was a pleasure to deal with.

Best House Ever Rented on VRBO!

  • 5 of 5

I don't post reviews often, but this house is exceptional and requires a review! It was, by far, the most well-stocked VRBO rental I have ever stayed in! Usually I have to buy all the basics, like dressings and condiments, and then throw them all away once we've barely used them. This house was like living in my own home. It had everything - olive oil, whole bean coffee, seasonings - with items left in the refrigerator to use if I wanted. Besides the well-stocked kitchen, the house is a great place to gather - watch TV, look at the lake, play board games, play pool downstairs. They even have a volleyball net we set up and played several competitive games with, ladderball, a canoe, kayak, and SUP board we all enjoyed using. The beds were all comfortable with private bathrooms for each bedroom. A great home for friends as well as family! We played tennis at a middle school nearby (out the back gate) rather than use the community courts as it required a trip to the front security gate first (a further drive we didn't want to make to get the gate code, though the courts were right by the house), but the community courts were quite nice. A great location not too far for a trip to Fredericksburg to the east or even a day trip to the Shenandoah area. Enough parking for our 4 cars. If only we could have rented a boat to use on the lake (not allowed for renters), we'd then have to give it 6 stars! Thanks for a wonderful family reunion with our adult children!

First class all the way!

  • 5 of 5

This house was the absolute best that we have ever rented!! From the gorgeous location and views to all the special amenities that were provided--it was a first class establishment. My 82 year old father was with us (my 3 sisters and spouses) and he totally enjoyed looking out at the lake and having meals with everyone in the spacious kitchen and dining area. Thank you to the owners for thinking of everything that would make a vacation special!
