About Karen Moore

I am a long time resident of Franklin County with family in Shelburne Falls. It was a delight to buy a home in Shelburne Falls and I am happy to share it with others being a big fan of B&B's myself. As natives and avid cyclists we can help you navigate the area to find best roads, fishing, special events and more!

Karen Moore purchased this apartment in 2012

Why Karen Moore chose Shelburne Falls

The Village of Shelburne Falls is deceptively quiet when you first come to town but those of us who live here know how much there is to offer. Few villages have the combination of its beauty with the river passing through it and glacial pothole formations. The Bridge of Flowers, artisans and restaurants not to mention live broadcast theater and Opera bring tourists as well as natives to town. The local coffee house features great music and the business community supports key events that make Shelburne Falls a great destination choice. It's no wonder it has been the site of 2 major motion pictures and home to the famous.

What makes this apartment unique

This handsome Victorian home has 'good bones' and provides a calming retreat. It is private and in a lovely neighborhood. Its a short walk to town. Come home after a day of activity and all the amenities are right here.

Nice getaway

  • 5 of 5

When we walked into the house we noticed all the goodies she had snacks and cookies and coffee and bagels things that you usually don't find at a rental but she made it feel like home. The house is very tidy we had a little problem with the tv remote control but with a phone call they resolved that problem. I would definitely recommend this Studio apartment connected to the main house as a rental . And Karen also had a nice bouquet of flowers since it was our anniversary it was a nice touch. Thank you Karen

Quiet small town getaway

  • 5 of 5

It was a very nice little suite in a larger home. It came with most everything needed for our stay. I would recommend that you double check hours and days of operation on places in town you would like to visit as some of our literature was a bit outdated. Overall we had a very pleasant stay.

Owner's Response: Steve, I hope you enjoyed your visit from the U.K. There is so much to do out here within a 45 minute radius but yes, sometimes local establishments will take time off but they are pretty good about checking in with each other. Good news is MORE restarsunts are coming into town including g a microbrewery, expansion of mocha Maya's and more! I wish you the best on you future adventures! Karen

Perfect for two!

  • 4 of 5

A one bedroom apartment on a very quiet street. My husband and I had a wonderful stay. Water pressure in shower was great. King size bed was very comfortable. The TV was nice to have in the mornings and evenings when we weren't visiting relatives. I'm a stickler for clean and EVERYTHING was clean!!!! Karen was super! She had milk, snacks (yes I ate those tasty dark chocolate macadamia nuts :)), english muffins, coffee, tea, well stocked pantry/cupboards along with bath towels and TP! :) Thanks so much! We will check availability when we come again!

Fantastic weekend get away.

  • 5 of 5

We needed to get out of the city to get away from big e traffic for the weekend. My wife and I found Karen's place and it was the perfect spot to enjoy the village, go hiking and travel to the hill towns.

The apartment is very clean and comfortable and has everything you need for your stay. Karen was very responsive if we needed anything, we didn't because it was all there.

We walked to the bridge several times and found a great little breakfast spot at Fox Towne Coffee shop.

We will be back..

Very nice apartment

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed here for one week in August. The apartment was clean and well furnished. Karen has it so well stocked with anything you could possibly need on vacation. She even left us eggs, milk and bagels!! It was very quiet and relaxing the whole week. Because of it's location walking to downtown or around the neighborhood is quite convenient. The town is like being in Mayberry! It is quite charming and we happened to witness the large charity dinner across the downtown bridge which served 400 people!!
