We spent two weeks here in Aug 16. The apartment had everything we needed. The air conditioning in each room was especially welcoming after a long day in the heat. The apartment was situated near the bottom of the complex, which we found nice as it was quiet. An hourly shuttle bus runs from just outside the apartment to the main pool. We used this several times, but also enjoyed the walk up to and back from the main pool-lost a few pounds in the process-always a bonus on holiday. The pool next to the apartment was great for those lazy days. The main pool was also great. The slides were really enjoyed by us all. The restaurant there was also good with entertainment on a couple of nights a week . This is a definite place to come and relax. Communication with the owner Adrian was easy and prompt and was very accommodating in our late checkout. Musa his representative in the resort was equally helpful, organising day trips and taxis. We would definitely recommend this apartment and resort and if we return to Turkey this will be where we stay. Thank you for a great holiday
We are just back from this apartment. The apartment was of a good standard and the pool at our apt was great. If you want a holiday away from it all then this would be a good place to stay, be aware this apt is at the bottom of a steep hill but there is an hourly bus service to take you around the complex
There is a bar and restaurant on site and a shop, there are also other bars/restaurants on the other 2 sites nearby.
I would have gave this a 5 star rating however the description of the location of this site is very misleading, it states that it is 25 mins away from Bodrum by bus.....this is not true. Bodrum is 30km away and we went there 4 times during our stay and it took 55-60 mins each time by dolmus, by taxi it took 35-40 mins and costs between 110-130TL.
Outside of the complex there not much there 2 cafe/bars 1 pizza shop and a migros supermarket. The cash machine outside Turquoise only lets you take £70 per day.
All in all we enjoyed the holiday but we were unhappy with the description of the location of this apartment
We stayed at the apartment for the first 2 weeks of July 2015 and had a fantastic family holiday.
Prior to booking we spoke with Adrian who we found to be very helpful and professional, answering all the questions we had.
We were collected from the airport in a large air conditioned mini bus (which cost the equivalent of £20 each way) and dropped off right outside the apartment. Waiting for us was Musa, who helps manage things locally for Adrian and organises trips if you wish to partake. He collected and set up the travel cot that Adrian had arranged.
The apartment was fantastic. Very well equipped and comfortable. Wifi had just been installed prior to our holiday which was most handy with two teenage daughters!! The A/C was a godsend and works really well.
The resort itself was first rate. Turquoise is right next door to Flamingo and a short distance away from Royal Heights. The shuttle bus runs every hour (except when he breaks for his lunch and tea) and once you've got to grips with the times it's first rate. The driver was very punctual and friendly. There are security guards on the gates and you see them doing regular patrols.
The apartment is located at the bottom end of the Turquoise resort up some fairly steep hills. I walked it with my daughters several times during the mid day heat and it's quite testing but is manageable and you can be at the main Turquoise pool / Restaurant in 10 -15 minutes.
There is a mini market at the main pool complex which stocks most things you need and the shop keeper and his wife are very friendly and helpful, both speaking good English. For a more complete shop there is the Migros supermarket just outside the resort which has a larger selection of goods and is slightly cheaper.
The Turquoise restaurant served good quality food at reasonable prices. We tended to eat out every other night. The Turkish night is well worth a visit if there's one during your stay.
Royal Heights is well worth a visit for the infinity pool and the private beach.
The pool next to Adrians apartment is great and was hardly used by anybody else whilst we were there but was ideal if you just fancied a quiet day.
Musa sorted out a day trip to My Beach (about 10 minutes away in a taxi) and also a days boat trip (which cost about £20 a head and included dinner and an afternoon snack).
I would not hesitate in booking Adrian's apartment again and we're already talking about going back.
Date of stay 13th July to 20th July 2015
We stayed at the apartment in July and had 2 weeks of constant sunshine. Our apartment was spacious, clean and well equipped with washing machine, air conditioning, Wi-Fi and TV/DVD. We used the kitchen for breakfasts and lunches, eating out on the balcony and enjoying the views of Lake Tuzla. The apartment is well situated in the complex, well served by a the shuttle bus for those who find the hills a challenge. It has use of a pool which was very clean, and always peaceful in comparison to the busier main pool. The whole complex was very well maintained and to a good standard.
The complex has a large main pool and a separate flume pool which gave our kids hours of fun. The restaurant is good with a variety of food both local and international and the staff could not be more helpful.
We ventured out most evenings although there were not too many options however, we loved the Sunset Café, the shuttle bus being provided by the smaller original café on the main road next to the supermarket. We also went to the Sunset beach, which was busy but not overly so. Again, the level of customer service was great and people were very friendly.
Adrian, the owner was a pleasure to deal with and we would definitely recommend this apartment to our friends.
I will start this review from the airport. when we arrived at at the airport in Bodrum we were picked up in a private taxi and take a short distance (20min drive) to our apartment. I am happy to say the apartment was everything it looked on the web and more. Our apartment was clean and ready for me and my wife and 2 children for a family holiday. The aircon - TV etc all worked fine and the bedding was fresh and clean.
There is a pool right beside the apartment which we used every day and had almost to our selves. The complex is just a sort walk to from the apartment and there is a mini bus running regularly that can take you to the complex or to other complexes in the area for free every day.
The Turquoise complex & restaurant was brilliant and the food was excellent and so were the all staff. There is 1 baby pool and 1 main pool and there are also water slides which are great fun for all! Also there is a children's park and crazy golf plus out door tennis courts which we all used daily.
There is an on site mini supermarket which sells lots of things from fresh bread to fresh foods and toys. Also there is a supermarket which is a 2min walk out side the complex which has a butchers fresh and frozen foods newpapers alcohol and so on and everything was very reasonably priced.
There is a place called My Beach which is just a 15min walk or a free taxi ride to from the Turquoise complex which is great for swimming in the sea relaxing in the gazebo while the kids play (just perfect) food and drinks are available here to and the staff here are great they bring everything to you so you just need to relax.
Me my wife are in our late 20's and are 2 boys aged 3 & 6 have all had a fantastic holiday here and will definitely be booking this again!
A very big thank you to Adrian Leslie the owner for taking care of my family and our holiday nothing was to much trouble and Adrian is a true gent.
Returning to the Turquoise Resort we stayed in Adrian and Lesley's 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom first floor apartment. It is an amazing apartment - wonderful views of the landscape including mountains and the lake from it's main, furnished balcony (there is a second smaller balcony too). The interior is modern and spacious, clean and well maintained. It has many features; the modern HD TV (not many English speaking channels!) with a DVD player was nice as we could watch a variety of films - taking your own would be a good idea (Mr Hippy Hour sells DVDs at the main pool and there is now a small collection of them...ps please check age ratings though!). The kitchen area is very well equipped which we used mainly for breakfasts and lunchtimes. The washing machine was useful and efficient (directions in bottom drawer in kitchen). Having an en-suite shower room was also very beneficial.
The communal areas; pools and gardens are lovely - they vary and as much as we loved our "own" pool we did pay a visit to another just below ours which was slightly larger. The main pool, with newly refurbished play areas and gardens was pretty quiet until the schools broke up - a good contrast to our quiet pool where one can people watch and have fun on the slides as well as order a cool drink from the pool bar/restaurant.
The shuttle bus is punctual and the driver - who provided an excellent service for us often goes above and beyond his duty - make sure you are on time!
The main restaurant, situated by the main pool area caters for all (Turkish, Chinese, Indian, English - Sunday Roast! & Mexican) and is reasonably priced.
The mini market has expanded and sells most essential items however Migros supermarket is situated just outside of the resort...
We enjoyed several visits (courtesy of the shuttle bus) to the beach at the Royal Heights resort which supplies beds and shades (free) and jetties to dive from. The restaurant here appears to have suffered a decline in popularity compared to previous years and was only open at weekends.
Visits to Bodrum by dolmus take 25 minutes (can be a hairy experience!) are a must - beautiful harbour with an abundance of shops and restaurants - prepare to haggle.
Adrian - thank you for being so professional and helpful from reserving our stay, booking our transfers and contacting us during our holiday to ensure we were OK. We would not hesitate in returning and hope to return again.
We would highly recommend this property to anyone.
Situated overlooking the stunning Tuzla Bay with its own private beach on the Aegean Sea.
