Overview

Photos and Description of this 3 bedroom holiday home in Northwest Colorado - Charming Victorian

3 Bedroom House Within Walking Distance Of Many Attractions

This Queen Anne Victorian home was built in 1897 and still maintains many original features but includes recent upgrades. Walk inside the enclosed porch and enter into the dining area (seating for 6-10) which also has a desk workspace. The living room is next to the dining area and has 11' ceilings with new furniture (sofa has pull-out queen bed) and flat screen TV with Netflix Instant Service and cable. The master bathroom has been completely remodeled and is very spacious. Walk through a walk-in-closet to the master bedroom, which has a new king-sized foam bed from Serta. The laundry room is conveniently located near the master bedroom. The kitchen is fully stocked and has stainless steel appliances and small eat-in area. A Keurig coffee maker is available at the coffee station as well as a French press and a standard drip coffee maker.

Upstairs there are two more bedrooms and a (small) full bathroom. The queen room has a crib if needed and the other bedroom has a set of twin bunk beds.

A queen air mattress can be provided upon request. Please contact the owner about parties larger than six.

Two cruiser bikes and a bike trailer are available for exploring the downtown area. Please contact owner about accessing them.

Please be aware that our staircase is historic and therefore rather steep. It may not be suitable for the elderly.

NOTE: If this property is already booked by someone else for the dates you require, please check out our other property - VRBO #592498. It is also located downtown and is similar in size.

Last minute weekday discounts might be available - contact owner for details if this applies to you.

Thoroughly enjoyable stay

  • 5 of 5

Our family (two adults, two teens) stayed one night to visit our oldest son living in Grand Junction. The house is beautifully renovated and decorated, very comfortable, quiet neighborhood. It was so nice to visit in a real home, not an impersonal hotel. Also very close to grocery, Starbucks etc. Highly recommend!

Adorable and convenient

  • 5 of 5

This property was a perfect size for four adults and two children. The home is clean and well decorated, and the owners are extremely organized, thoughtful, and responsive. We cooked breakfast in the kitchen and enjoyed it on the outdoor patio. Our schedule only allowed us to spend one night, but we would have been thrilled to make this a "home base" for several days.

Beautiful Home - All the Bells and Whistles

  • 5 of 5

This home was a beautiful and a relaxing place to spend Memorial Day weekend in Grand Junction. It was clean and charming. The owners have thought of everything a guest could need and the guidebook was extremely helpful. We watched a movie on the TV provided, and later cooked dinner while listening to music on the Bluetooth speaker. We were also able to ride the bikes provided to downtown Grand Junction in less than 5 minutes. An overall fantastic weekend.

A Charming Victorian was indeed Charming!

  • 5 of 5

We were planning on staying in Grand Junction for a couple of days on the tail end of of a trip to Moab and didn't want to stay in a hotel, yet be close enough to downtown where we could leave the car at home. This house met that need (proximity) to a tee. From the moment we walked through the door and started exploring the house, we could tell the owners care about their guests. The house was very clean and everything was labeled along with directions for "house operations" spelled out -- from how to work the wood stove to the extensive notebook filled with tips for where to eat and things to do while in Grand Junction.

There were five of us in our party (three adults, two teenagers) and we had plenty of space to spread out, as well as gather together without being on top of each other. I knew when I booked the house that the kids would be in twin bunk beds, but since we were only there two nights, they would survive. (They did.) The layout for the house was perfect with a king bedroom on the first floor and a queen bedroom (along with the bunk bedroom) on the second. If you're traveling with younger kids, this house has lots for them to do, from toys and games to a "secret" playroom in their bedroom. (The older kids will be happy with Netflix on the widescreen.)

Working with Amy to book the house (and then to follow up about information on some of the fixtures in the house that we wanted to get for our own) was a breeze. She made our stay welcoming and stress-free knowing that if there was an issue (there wasn't), we could easily get in touch with her.

If I'm ever in need of a place to stay while in Grand Junction, this house will be first on the list!
