This classic London townhouse is set in a quiet street in Putney/Wandsworth (Inner London - Zone 2), a 3-5 minutes walk from the river Thames, and just 14 minutes into Central London. Within a 2 min walk are direct buses to all parts of London. The house contains 3 chic, private self-contained apartments (Studio, 1-bedroom and 3-bed/2bathroom) each furnished stylishly with comfortable sofas and interesting objets d'art . The house is near the river, a huge park, transport, pubs, restaurants and food shops. The rental price includes Egyptian cotton sheets and towels, central heating, electricity, Sky HDTV (with a full subscription to news, entertainment, sports and free movies ‘On Demand’), water, high speed Unlimited Wifi, free local & international calls (many destinations) and tax. Also provided is tea, coffee, sugar and milk as well as initial supplies of toilet paper, kitchen roll, and clotheswashing & dishwashing liquid/tabs, olive oil, spices, and salt & pepper. Home Away credit card and fraud protection charges of 1.4-2.4% will be deducted from the security deposit.

This beautiful, stylish and sunny 3 bedroom apartment is set on the 1st and 2nd floors of the historic Victorian townhouse and has a contemporary interior including modern kitchen filled with appliances, a microwave, stove and oventop, dishwasher, washer/dryer, quality furnishings, and central heating. The large terrace is ideal for alfresco dining and is equipped with a table and chairs for 6-8. The stunning master bedroom is located in the loft, and has a King bed (that can unzip to 2 singles) and its own ensuite bathroom with claw bath and shower over the top. The 2nd bedroom has a double bed and access to the terrace, while, the third bedroom has 2 bunk beds and another 1-2 singles (or King). The sunny and bright sitting room overlooks leafy trees in the quiet street, and has a comfortable lounge area with sofas and dining table for 6-8 as well as large flat screen HD TV with Sky news, sports, movies, and cartoons. Ideal fo 4-6 adults and 2-4 children.

This townhouse is the perfect place to stay whether for a weekend, month or longer. Fabulous situation within easy walking distance of the tube, local shops and restaurants.

Tastefully furnished with great amenities. Comfortable beds, white linens and scrupulously clean. This house was definitely five star and lived upto and beyond our expectations and would highly recommend. We shall definitely return, no where else compares - thank you.

A beautiful and comfortable apartment for our family of six. The view is spectacular. Close to everything. Every souvenir may have a view of the historic building the apartment is located. The apartment is spacious, modern and beautifully decorated. Would definitely go back. 5 stars all the way,

The flat was fantastic. There was nothing missing, everything you needed was provided.

The flat was very clean and tidy. We had enough space for the 6 of us, 4 adults and 2 little children.The house was situated in a quite road and it was easy to find the nearby busstops and railway stations.

The next time when we will need accommodation in London we will book it again.

Relaxing

The place was smart and comfortable. Availability of Wi-Fi made my kids' stay extremely enjoyable!

It was easy to locate and in a good neighborhood. The instructions contained in the handbook were very helpful.

Next time we're in London, we're definitely going back to Angela's place --- it was very relaxing.

The only request I have is for the check-out time to be shifted from 10 am to noon if possible --- last day was a bit of a struggle waking up, quickly packing up and tidying up the place all before 10.

While we always offer a late checkout to guests where possible, and on request, we ask guests to check out by 10am because we need at least 4-5 hours to clean the apartment thoroughly in preparation for guests arriving the same day. SOO cute! My kids loved the neighborhood too!

So there were 7 of us in all...4 adults and three teens. My mother who is in her late 60's and has a bit of a tough time walking far did ok with all the stairs in the townhouse. She mainly stayed on the main floor so it wasn't an issue for her. I slept on the top floor bedroom with my 22-year old niece and her friend. So that room was set up with three single beds. The room had very little space for all of our big suitcases so I kept mine in the bathroom. The shower in that room has a beautiful claw foot tub but the room itself has a slanted ceiling. So I am 5'3" and was ok under the shower head but if you are much taller than that, you will have to remove the shower wand and sit in the tub to shower. The shower curtain also only goes 3/4 way around you. The water pressure was very good! As far as the downstairs bathroom, it is very modern and beautiful. Make sure not to stand on the shower drain while showering or the water will build up and spill onto the floor. For my fellow American travelers who have never been to England: it is against their building codes to have any electrical outlets in bathrooms. So know that you will be blow drying and curling hair (and using electric razors) in the bedrooms or living room. There is a power strip supplied with several plugs which really helps. And Angela supplies blow dryers! That was SOO convenient! I brought our own adapters too. The kitchen is very well equipped. The washer/dryer combo machine was a bit confusing to operate but the manual is supplied and that was very helpful! So my niece and her friend went out in the neighborhood to the Hop Pole pub many nights until 3:00am and LOVED IT!! The neighborhood is really great but it is quite a haul to get into downtown London. We had a VERY difficult time navigating the bus, to train, to tube etc. we ended up getting cabs that weren't always readily available to come all the way out to Putney. So that was very challenging. However, it's a great neighborhood with really cute pubs and a small little mall and a co-op convenience store for groceries close by which is great! Keira Knightly and Kevin Spacey I hear are from this neighborhood so that is very cool too! Angela couldn't have been more informative, helpful and kind throughout our correspondence leading up to our stay and also during our stay. She answered my emails SO quickly and kindly and for that I am so grateful! Angela was FANTASTIC!!! Enjoy your stay!! It's a really cute tow home!

I'm sorry to hear you had problems getting into London - the train is a short walk away then it's just 14 minutes into Waterloo! Many of our guests love the direct 24H bus (No 87) that gets them home in the evenings from Trafalgar Square in about 35 minutes! Or the District Line tube is 11 minutes away. The upstairs shower room will accommodate guests with heights about 5'9", but taller guests also use the downstairs shower room so both options are available. I'm glad you enjoyed the area, it's one of the prettiest in London. It is a safe, family neighbourhood and a few minutes walk to a beautiful park and the river Thames. There are many shops and restaurants as well and the Southside shopping centre/mall (large by UK standards) a few minutes away. I'm glad I was able to answer your questions, and if you return, I'd be happy to explain some of the transport options again in more details. Thanks again for staying!

Great home in a good location

This Chic rental is near two convenient bus routes and within 5 blocks of a tube stop. This apartment slept the 5 of us well and had room for more people. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and save money while traveling. There is a convenience store and restaurants within a block for the essentials. The wifi and satellite tv worked well and we enjoyed having access to movies. What made our stay so special though was the book/folder of information Angela provided to us to tell us how to get to the closest stations and what buses to catch and best routes to sightseeing locations. Information is key to maximizing a trip and Angela provided great info. We are very pleased with our stay.

The flat is located in zone 2 Inner London, just 12-14 minutes by train to central London (Waterloo), 10 minute bus ride from Wimbledon, and 15-20 minutes by bus/train to Victoria. District Line tube is 10m away. A few minutes' walk away is the river Thames, a tree-lined riverside park, excellent riverside restaurants, and several pubs, while the lively Old York Road restaurant and cafe district is a 7 minute walk away. Waterloo is the home of Southbank, a picturesque riverside restaurant and shopping district, the London Eye, and Imax. A short walk will take you to Westminster Bridge, over the Thames to see the famous Big Ben and Houses of Parliament, then further up to Buckingham Palace and Park Lane. Over the footway is The Strand, Trafalgar Square, Soho, Picadilly and Covent Garden. Further to the right is the Modern Tate, and you can cross the famous Millennium Bridge to reach St Paul's Cathedral in London. By tube, you can reach the same destinations in minutes, as well as London Bridge, the Tower of London, and Oxford Circus.
