Spacious town centre apartment with large roof terrace

Bedrooms 2
Space 1,022 sq. ft.
Property type apartment
Minimum Stay 4 nights

About the property

Beautiful 2 double bed, 2 bathroom apartment, with vaulted ceilings

Wonderfully spacious apartment with magnificent high vaulted ceiling and large sunny roof terrace right in the heart of Alberobello. Ideally located to take advantage of this beautiful town and area or to simply kick back and relax on the terrace.

The apartment, with its own large and sunny roof terrace (20 m2), stands two floors up at the top of a historic building, believed to have been built for a former mayor of the town and has recently been magnificently renovated by local craftsmen in 2006 - the tiles on the floor and bathroom walls are all locally crafted and the newly exposed stonework on the walls is beautiful. The old stone walls retain the warmth in winter and keep it cool at the height of summer. There are two bedrooms - one double bed with ensuite and one with two single beds. There is also a separate shower room. The rest of the apartment is spacious and open plan with a kitchen, dining area and living area which leads out onto to the terrace.

There are two large bedrooms, one with en suite bathroom, and a further shower room. There is washing machine, dishwasher, hair dryer, iron and ironing board. The main living area consists of a large vaulted living room, kitchen and dining area - a door leads directly onto the private terrace which is perfect for sunbathing all day and barbecues in the evening. Sun loungers and outside seating and table are provided. The apartment itself was previously the top floor of an historic old building and has been renovated to an extremely high standard in 2006 by local craftsmen. I can guarantee when you enter the apartment you will be blown away by the high ceilings, beautiful stone and the sheer size of the place.

Fabulous Spring Stay

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed in Mark's apartment for just under 3 weeks. Everything was perfect! The apartment has been beautifully redone, with all the conveniences you could ask for, including a spacious terrace. There was not one thing we needed. Having a washing machine and a dishwasher certainly was nice. The beds were comfy, the bathroom is spacious with a great shower, and the terrace was absolutely awesome! The location is superb. The apartment is just far enough from the trullis to ensure you are not overrun with tourists. Yet everything is within easy walking distance. Alberobello is a charming town. We could not have been happier using Mark's apartment as our base and we could not have been happier choosing Alberobello. All in all, a great holiday!! Thanks, Mark, for making it possible!!

Lovely apartment

  • 4 of 5

We were very impressed with the apartment, the renovation was done very tastefully and modern. The location is great as it's not far to walk to the Trulli village and other attractions.

There is a good selection of restaurants close by, we had some very nice dining experiences at reasonable prices.

I would recommend doing a Segway tour with Francesco, he is a fantastic guy who can't do enough for you. Only 20euro for an hour tour and he takes you to some traditional Trulli's where the normal tourist doesn't go.

All in all we had a very nice stay, thanks to Alison for meeting us with the key and giving us some pointers.

There was only one problem with the wifi but after contacting Mark the owner he had it sorted out within the hour.

Thanks Mark

Lovely Holiday!

  • 4 of 5

We had a fab holiday based in this apartment. Alborobello is a lovely town with lots of fantastic restaurants and of course the trullis. Sip an aperol spritz on the town square early evening and watch the world go by! Or sample the many different flavours of ice cream in the gelaterias! The weather in mid/late August was sunny and warm. We visited the coast and swam in the sea (also warm!) nearly every day. The apartment was very comfortable, clean and well equipped with a beautiful vaulted stone ceiling and the owners very helpful with local knowledge and recommendations. Shops all nearby so everything is in walking distance. We really enjoyed exploring Puglia and the children (8 and 6) enjoyed their holiday too - they loved the pizza, pasta and nutella ice cream! And of course, the fantastic water park at Egnaiza!

Alberobello appartment

  • 4 of 5

Alberobello's one of the best small towns to stay in Puglia and the Itria valley's a very attractive area. May a good time to go; very warm without being too hot. Plenty shops and good restaurants in town and loads of atmosphere particularily at weekends. Appartment very comfortable, terrace a sun-trap and always able to park car nearby. Owner very helpful. Top storey so not recommended if mobility problems.

A relaxing and beautiful place to stay

  • 5 of 5

Alberobello is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its fascinating Trulli houses.

The apartment is a lovely place to stay and explore the area, with plenty of interesting destinations for all ages. The roof terrace is perfect for barbecues.

Personal favourites were Taranto for lunch and Egnazia for some excellent Roman ruins.

Thoroughly recommended!

Alberobello is an amazing place. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site and you can see why it is protected as soon as you enter the town. It has the historic Trulli of course but in its own right it is a small and vibrant town with plenty to see and do. There are markets regularly, festivals and events throughout the year and, as you would expect, many outstanding restaurants which serve wonderful authentic Italian food at very reasonable prices. Jamie Oliver loves Puglia for that reason!

The apartment is very central so everything is within easy reach by foot as Alberobello is not a large town.

The famous Itrea valley is dotted with plenty of other old historic towns perching on the hills - like nearby Locorotondo, Martina Franco and Ostuni, while on the coast Monopoli and Savelletri are definitely well worth visiting.

There are plenty of banks, bars, cafes, and shops in Alberobello. Within meters of the apartment there are bakers, a fishmonger and a small supermarket with excellent deli.

There are plenty of sandy beaches and lidos all within a pleasant 25 minutes drive, and a local swimming pool at a villa which is just 5 minutes away in Corregia.

Other Activities: Cycling, Golf, Walking, beach, sight seeing, relaxing
