My wife and I are semi retired (meaning she is retired and I am still working). We live in the little town of Huntsville, AR. on the Kings River. We built a house there 15 years ago. We have nine grandchildren and one great grandchild all but two of those are boys. The bigger boys all love to fish and that is one of the biggest reasons for buying this property. Not to mention that old Grandpa loves to trout fish too. I am an engineer in the oil industry which takes me away from home two weeks out of the month so Bonnie (my wife) does most of the management of the property.
Tim and Bonnie Endacott purchased this cabin in 2013
Where better to buy a piece of property than near the biggest trout fishing river in the world which is the White River. Fishing is great!
The unique benefits of this property is it's right on the river and you can sit on the large beautiful deck and have a view of the river and the boat launch is right beside the house. Also the White River joins the Norfork River just down stream so you have two rivers to fish.
House was nice, clean, spacious and had everything we needed. We were in town for Thanksgiving and wanted a nice place to stay. The owners made it easy to check in and out. My family had a great experience.
I have stayed here several times and just love it and always hate to leave!!! Only thing it needs is floodlights so you can see to grill (gets dark so early now) and lights to see the river at night too..........Great location, just minutes from Mountain Home but quiet and peaceful, all you hear is crickets. I will be back again!
Property was exactly as described and it had everything we needed and more than we expected. My only regret was not owning a fishing boat so that we could've utilized the private ramp a few feet away. It was very quiet, the house was clean and in good repair and I cannot think of anything that you would need that was not provided. I will definitely be staying there again and would recommend to anyone thinking of renting it.
We watched a blue heron catch a fish the first day we were there and geese flying over the river and house the next day. A very quiet neighborhood that allows you to enjoy the sights and sound of nature right at your doorstep.
Very nice house and bigger than pics show. The best part is the huge deck overlooking the river; great place to relax after a long day fishing. The boat ramp is right next to the house which makes it very easy to put in, park the trailer, and hit the water. The other key point for us, it is an easy 13 minute drive to the Norfork public access area, so an easy drive each morning if you want to fish that area.
My wife and I stayed at this property for a weekend getaway. Everything was well beyond satisfactory. Location was great, within rock throwing distance from the White River and easy to find (although google maps and mapquest both sent us nearly a half mile past the cabin). The kitchen was stocked well with all the dishes/utensils we needed. The only issue we had was the washing machine was out of order, but the owners had notified us of that before we arrived, but wasn't planning on using it anyway so no big problem. Overall a great place to stay!
The description of the property was accurate. The covered deck and views were better than we imagined. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the rest and relaxation that we needed. The home was clean and as expected by the photos. No complaints at all. We would definitely recommend this property to family and friends. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Check in time is 2 pm and check out time is 11am
If you smoke we have ashtrays outside on the table on the deck. We ask that you please don't smoke inside. Thank you!
Cabin will be closed for off season December 1st through February 28th.
