Special on 1895 Townhome On Chatham Square

Bedrooms 2
Separate WC's1
Property type townhome
Minimum Stay 3 - 4 nights

About the property

2 Bedroom, 2.5 Bath, Sleeps 4

This circa 1895 townhome is located on the corner of beautiful, serene Chatham Square. Originally built by Matilda Heitmann, this residence is a registered Savannah Historic Foundation dwelling. This beautifully decorated home has all the modern convenience but retains the original details of the historic home that it is. It is truly a “home away from home”.

This beautiful townhouse is located within Savannah's legitimate Landmark Historic District, south of River Street, north of Gwinett Street, east of MLK Jr. Boulevard, and west of Broad Street. Translation: You are actually in easy walking distance to everywhere you wish to be. Or, a carriage will pick you up from your doorsteps. Call a pedicab to take you to or from dinner. It is all easy to do from this great location.

Whether you are visiting Savannah to enjoy the stunning architecture of a time past or to visit landmarks that have made Savannah a vacation destination, this townhome is perfectly located for your exploration. For example, leave your front door and walk two blocks west and you will be looking at the Mercer-Williams House made famous in the movie, “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil”. One block up from there is Forsyth Park. You’ll find yourself drawn back there over and over again. If you want to walk down one of the most beautiful streets in the world, leave your “home away from home” walk across Chatham Square and you are one block away from Jones Street.

Whatever you choose to do while in Savannah, the townhome on Chatham Square will be a quiet oasis which you will look forward to returning to each day and not want to leave when your stay is over.

Perfect !

This townhome is immaculate. The furniture. The chandeliers. Every room in the house. The location is wonderful. The walk to town and to Forsyth Park is easy and beautiful. I want to move to Savannah and live in this townhome.

November 9-11 in Savannah.

  • 5 of 5

A comfortable townhome on Chatham Square. Location was perfect for walking to Forsythe Park, the Mercer house, the Crystal Beer Parlor, and many of the interesting Squares. This townhome had all the conveniences that one would expect to have. Good sized bedrooms. Master bedroom was spacious with a huge bathroom with a nice walk-in shower. On-street parking was never a problem. A nice base from which to tour the many sites in Savannah. I would gladly recommend the 1895 Townhome on Chatham Square particularly for two couples . Plenty of room to relax after long days walking in Savannah. An antique lover would be right at home in this home, yet it was comfortable and had all the modern conveniences. Would definitely stay here again!

Better than the pictures

Everything was great. The kitchen was excellent and they even had a good stock of staples. The house was super clean and everything worked as it should. Beds were comfortable. Great area. Owner was very responsive to questions during our stay. I would highly recommend staying here.

This property is all that and more!

  • 5 of 5

There were four in our party and we all totally enjoyed our stay. The house is beautiful, spacious and cozy. Kitchen well equipped with anything you could possibly need. The courtyard was a favorite spot for morning tea and coffee. Cindy was easy to work with, always right there for any need we had. Thanks for an enjoyable stay.

Best of both worlds

  • 4 of 5

Very nice, updated property. Our stay was very comfortable but with the feeling of being immersed in the historic feel of Savannah.

Delightful home and experience

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful time from start to finish. As two couples we rented this home for a long weekend. The house is beautiful and very comfortable. Two bedrooms each with their beautiful ensuite bathrooms. The little patio in the back was delightful and the house is in a great location. Cindy was super friendly and easy to work with. We got in late on Friday evening and she met us with a smile. She was even willing to accommodate an extra night stay if our flight was cancelled. Will definitely rent from Cindy again! Thanks for a great stay!
