The property is located in a small community just outside of the beautiful town of Rafol de Almunia and at the midpoint between Valencia and Alicante on the East Coast of the Costa Blanca.

Located within the Orba Valley mountain ranges, the elevated aspect delivers staggering mountain and coastal views for miles around with a pleasant valley breeze that is cooling even on the hottest of days.

The property has 5 generously sized bedrooms and 4 bath / en-suite shower rooms and has the capacity to sleep up to 10 people.

The 11m x 5m filtered swimming pool with its own outdoor shower is located on a private terrace and is guaranteed to keep the children amused and is very refreshing on those hot Spanish days.

All holiday bookings include a 'Welcome Grocery Pack' delivered on your arrival day; bed changing service at the end of each rental week and an English / Spanish speaking local representative available for help and advice during your holiday.

Rafol de Almunia is a typical Spanish village, nestled in the mountains between the towns of Ondara and Pego. Ideal for walkers and hikers, the village is perfectly placed to explore the nearby coastal towns and market villages of the Costa Blanca, or for simply relaxing and enjoying the 325 days of sunshine per year that makes the area such a revered holiday destination.

Rafol de Almunia caters primarily for two types of holidaymakers: Those who wish to simply get away from it all and spend the vast majority of their holiday relaxing in their villa soaking up the sun, and those who want to get out there and explore the nearby area. The use of a rental car is required to make the most of this fabulous destination.

The closest beach lies at Las Marinas, around ten minutes away, and there are further beaches of Blue Flag quality around 20 minutes from Rafol de Almunia. There are also a number of restaurants, shops, bars and cafes just a short drive from your doorstep, as well as several championship golf courses within a short drive of the town, including the Oliva Nova course.

Those who enjoy hiking, climbing and walking holidays will be at home in Rafol de Almunia, as the town is situated in a perfect location to make the most of these activities. Guided paths will allow you to make the most of the mountain and sea views, and the more adventurous can even climb to the top of the Penon D’Ifach rock, which towers 1000ft out of the sea.

Possibly the main benefit of staying in self-catering accommodation in Rafol de Almunia is its close proximity to many other towns and villages in the region. Ondara (7km) is the closest town and has an excellent shopping mall. Javea (23km), Moraira (30km), the medieval market town of Pego (10km), the seaside town of Denia (17km) and historic Gandia (24km) are all just a short drive away, and the busy tourist hive of Benidorm can also be reached in well under an hour’s drive, meaning there is much to see and do in the area.

The glorious weather in the region is what draws thousands of holidaymakers to the Costa Blanca every year. A holiday in Rafol de Almunia will almost certainly guarantee you hot summers that average over 30degC, and can often reach towards 40degC. Mild winters and low rainfall mean a holiday can be enjoyed in Rafol de Almunia at any time of the year.

There are two primary options for getting to your accommodation at Rafol de Almunia. Valencia Airport (VLC) lies 100km to the north, whilst Alicante Airport (ALC) is 100km to the south. Both destinations make for an equally enjoyable drive along the coast, so the tip is to shop around for the best deals on flights.

We arrived into Alicante airport and picked up our hire care - so easy! The drive to the villa took about an hour which was fine with views of the Med to the right and the most beautiful mountains to the left. The Villa was so lovely (the pictures on the website do not do it justice!) and the location was perfect with the lovely mountain breeze blowing in our faces when we arrived. We have a large family and the villa was perfect for our 2 week holiday in the sun. Will look forward to booking again for next year.

Fantastic Villa, with stunning views

My family stayed here for two weeks in August and we were really impressed. The location of the Villa is at the top of a small mountain which provides highly impressive views across the coast and Mediterranean.

After driving from Kent to the Villa across two days our arrival was like arriving at an oasis after crossing a desert. It was euphoric. The place is very well presented and has everything you need. The rooms are well fitted and there was plenty of space for the seven of us.

The pool is divine and was fantastic at any time of the day. The outside kitchen and BBQ was superb and there was much alfresco cooking and wine consumption going on there.

The nearest town, Pego, had good supermarkets and was only a 15 minute drive away. The beaches nearby were long and not crammed. We only visited them in the evenings as during the day we couldnt tear ourselves away from the villa.

There are some lovely touches to the Villa, a well stocked book case, Sky TV, a decent size of garden area, an outside shower which is lovely for some under the stars washing, a fantastic lemon tree bearing superb fruit, excellent for cooking and Gin and Tonic's, and much more.

At first it can be a touch tricky to find, mainly borne out of the fact that there is a similar road name in a nearby development! However once you are there you will love it!

Amazing Holiday!!!

What an amazing and relaxing holiday in a wonderful setting. The Villa is is perfect for escaping for a luxurious break with or without children. The accommodation is extremely spacious and to the highest standards, immaculate and well stocked with everything we needed. The pool and outdoor bbq area are a tranquil haven to chill out with friends and family. We will be back!!

Stunning Villa up in the Mountain

On arrival at the Villa we were amazed how stunning the villa was and the views down the Mountain, the Villa its self is huge and accommodated 2 families very well. We particularly loved the outdoor cooking area by the pool and the many locations around the villa you could seat and eat meals. We had a fabby time at villa and it definitely 5 star luxury we couldn't have asked for more. Great location for venture out we enjoyed visiting Benidorm for a few days water parks, zoo and theme park. Great shopping centre close by which covered all of needs. Thanks for a wonderful holiday.

Lovely accommodation relaxing and quiet pool was very inviting and lovely size. 9 of us stayed here plenty of room in close proximity to shopping and restaurants only thing in this hot weather to enhance stay would of been Air con in all bedrooms. Would stay again no hesitation

Fabulous for the whole family

We visited this villa as a whole (extended) family. Ages ranged from 7 to 65+

The villa was large and well equipped and there was adequate space for us all. The pool and outside kitchen / eating area were our favourite features.

Beautiful local beaches, both sandy and pebbly, with super restaurants. The mountain backdrop and outlook across the sea was simply beautiful.

We would definitely like to return in the future.

HOLIDAY ENTERTAINMENT AND THINGS TO DO... Water Sports (diving, water skiing, fishing, snorkelling; windsurfing, yachting, boat hire, jet skis) are all available in Denia Port. Cruises around the Costa Blanca available from Denia Port or Javea in the mornings as well as romantic sunset cruises. Tennis courts, entertainment centre, restaurants and bars are available in the local villages located only 5 minutes away. Theme parks, water parks and Luna parks located in the Benidorm area only 40 minutes drive on the AP7. Go Karting is available in Vergel near the Safari Park at the junction of the N332 near the exit for Denia and Pedregeuer. Safari Park with wild animals and rides is located in Vergel only ten minutes drive away. Denia Castle and the Montgo Natural reserve are well worth a visit.
