Why Owner chose Providenciales
After searching the globe for the perfect beachfront/oceanfront property for our family, we fell in love with Providenciales. Turks and Caicos are a British oversea territory and crime is very low. It is easy to access with everyday reasonable air fares. The temperature is perfect all year round. We like good food and there is a lot of good restaurants here. We also like privacy and calm. This island is small and everything is within 10-15 minutes of each other. Our kids just wanted sand to play with and warm water to swim ! We never get tired of the stunning views from this house.

We had such an amazing trip! The house is even better in person. They have virtually everything you could want, including blue tooth speakers for inside and outside and straws for our drinks! The paddle boards and kayaks were all in good working order. They have plenty of snorkeling equipment, beach chairs, sand toys and pool toys. The kitchen had everything we needed. We took the suggestion to pack a bag with some food staples, spices and snacks and were glad we did. Groceries are definitely expensive but planning ahead made a big difference. The third bedroom has 2 twins, a bunk and trundle, as well as a pull out twin sofa bed. It made a great kids room and the boys especially enjoyed the Xbox for some down time. We used the grill and it worked great. We also had a fire one evening in the fire pit. One of our favorite nights! Meesri was unbelievably helpful and happy. She is amazing:). We were so appreciative of all her help! We couldn’t have gotten along without her. Our whole family said the property could not have been better. Thank you for sharing your home with us. We hope to come back soon!
WOW! This is truly the best villa I have ever rented in all my life! Location was perfect - we were able to watch both sunrise and sunset. The view was stunning, the water was awesome, the villa was incredible, the furniture, appliances, and accessories were definitely high end!
Our group of 10 persons spent a few days at Villa Aqua Bella. There were no disappointments, other than having to return home. I would highly recommend this villa as it suited our group very well with plenty of space for everyone.
The area is quiet making it a perfect get-away yet it is close enough to town should you need groceries or want to shop and explore the Grace Bay Area. The owners were very responsive to all our questions and were always ready with a suggestion when asked, whether it was about restaurants or private chefs. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone wanting to vacation in TCI.
Great place in Turks
Beautiful property in a great location, especially if you have small children. We had the best time and the property manager was friendly, and answered all of our questions promptly! Loved the kayaks and the close by US style grocery store!
I will definitely stay again!
I loved Providenciales. The villa was gorgeous and the view was breathtaking! It was close enough to grocery store and restaurants, but far enough not to have to deal with the crowds on Grace Bay. Food is very expensive on the island, 2 or 3 times what we pay in Canada. We knew, so we brought a luggage full of food. Restaurants suggested by the owner were very good. We loved Cocovan and Somewhere Cafe. Kitchen had everything and we also use the BBQ. The water in front of the villa is shallow, we used the 3 kayaks and paddle boards almost everyday. It was very fun to go to the islands. We were a group of 7 and had a fabulous time. Great vacation spot!
Thanks for the kind words. You guys are welcome back anytime to Villa Aqua Bella!
This house was “As Advertised”. Stayed with our 3 kids and 2 friends the first week. And stayed with 2 other couple the second week. House suited us perfectly in every way. Probably the best house i have ever stayed in on any Caribbean Island. Would highly recommend and would stay there again.
Issues and Extra Costs Involved
There were several extra costs involved with this property. To start off with, we were charged a foreign exchange rate charge for the money we paid through our credit card company. (near five hundred dollars). The home owner blamed the credit card company and the credit card company blamed Home Away and Home Away blamed the home owner. We paid in US dollars to a place that accepts US dollars. What the heck? Additional expenses were with the electricity. You must use wisely or you will be charged a high amount. In the middle of the summer if you don't use it, you will burn up at night.
We had a huge issue with a bumping sound on the roof evertime the wind blew. We complained several times to the person overseeing the property but they could not resolve the issue. Just imagine someone banging on the front door loudly at night, and you will get the picture. No one could sleep the last 5 nights because of this. Whatever the issue was, it kept getting worse the longer we stayed.
As reported in the other reviews, one of the kayaks is not usable and the clear one although usable, has its issues - the support structure comes apart. We I saw this in the reviews about the kayaks, I was assured by the home owner that it had been fixed.
The big screen TV by the pool could not be used because the property manager didn't know anything about it. Same could be said with the alarm system. When asked how you to turn on the "Stay Alarm" (for night), she said it didn't have one. Not until after I played with it for awhile, could I figure it out.
As mentioned in previous reviews as well, the ants are a huge issue in the kitchen. Nothing is safe! Even if you secure everything tightly in a bag with a twist tie, those little ants get into it. We ended up placing everything from food to paper plates and cups in the refrigerator. That is the only way to prevent them from getting into everything. Also, the sliding back glass doors of the villa need fixed or replaced for security reasons. They were almost impossible to lock. The screen doors on the patio were total unable to lock.
Not sure what the issue was on the island, but we lost electricity a total of eight times for several hours and we also lost water for almost a day one time. We were told it wasn't a villa issue but an island issue.
The house is located nicely on the beachfront. The road to the house is VERY rough especially when it rains. Take a SUV if you rent the villa.
There was only one extra cost: air conditioning and it was clearly stated before the rent. The tenant was even able to follow the charge on the A/C meter. For the foreign change fee, we are sorry that your credit card company charged it to you. It is sincerely the first time we ever had a client that reported that such a thing happened, it seems to be a isolated incident. We are sincerely helpless about anything that is occurring between your credit card company and HomeAway. You were billed by HomeAway in US dollars, you payed HomeAway directly, not us… We have nothing to do with it.
You were billed $23,60/day for the A/C use in June. Electricity is very expensive in TCI, it is the daily average consumption for guests. Some guests don’t use it at all, some use it more.
For the bumping sound, again we are sorry about that. We often stay at the villa and never heard it before, nor any other clients. We are also very sorry that the property manager was not able to find out what was the banging sound occurring at night. We found out that one hurricane shutter was dislodged and that was making noise when the wind blew.
The kayaks are indeed properly working, I inspected them myself. I went kayaking in May and July with the 2 double-kayak and the green single kayak. I think some guests just leave the kayaks on the shore. Then it can get filled with sand and water but if they are emptied of the sand and water, everything will be fine. To prevent it, we just built a kayak rack in August, so it won’t be a problem anymore.
We apologize for the inability to use the outdoor TV screen at the pool. The laptop adapter that connected to the TV was probably corroded. We bought a couple of spares just in case.
Sorry about the problem with the alarm. I checked with the property manager. She usually takes the time to explain how to operate it to the guest and it is regularly used by our guests. I think that there might have been a misunderstanding. Besides, everything you need to know about the alarm system is in the Guest Information Binder that we leave in the kitchen for the guests.
There are ants pretty much everywhere in the Turks and Caicos (even in five stars) if there are food left on counter or on the floor. But I can assure you that we spray pesticide on a regular basis and that there are no ants when we don’t leave food in open area. Food must be in the refrigerator and bags must be put in closed containers if left on the counter, as it is explained in the Guest Information binder.
The sliding doors are working well. We do not understand what was the issue. Perhaps they were off their tracks. Our property manager would have been delighted to put them back on tracks if requested. The glass sliding doors have locks, but the screen doors don’t.
We are sorry if there were any loss of electricity or water island wide during your stay in the Turks and Caicos. They are common on the island, but usually, an electricity breakdown lasts only 5-10 minutes. We spent a lot of time on the island and it only happened once during one of our stays, I guess we are lucky. The villa is equipped with a back-up generator and a cistern. You should have told our property manager about it as stated in the Guest Information Binder.
There is only 400 meters of unpaved road and it is supposed to be paved very shortly (we were told that it would be done in January 2019, but we are still waiting!). Most of our clients don’t use SUV and just use standard cars.
Again, we are sorry that you were not satisfied with your stay and we wish would could have done anything to prevent it from happening.
