I purchased this condo August 2000. I wanted to be closer to the best skiing Utah has to offer. The Canyons has always been my favorite place to ski. I lived 29 years in Salt Lake City have skiied various areas and still love the Canyons Ski Resort. The unit is very cozy and is located in an ideal location. Ski to the lower lift, or walk up to the clubhouse for a soak in the hot tub.
Marnie Bailey purchased this chalet in 2000
Fantastic location. Convenient to lower lift and shuttle stop. Located on Canyon Golf Course Hole #12.
50 feet from the clubhouse. Beautiful view of the Wasatch Mtns and Golf Course from living room and deck.
My husband and I stayed at this condo in March of 2016 to ski Park City. It was great! It's located about 50 yards from the Cabriolet lift, so it was a very easy to get down there every day - I think some of the other reviews said that the Cabriolet lift was "far" from the condo??? It's about as far as the parking lot at Keystone Resort in Colorado is from the lifts. Not far at all. Location is great for after skiing to get back to the condo easily and to get back up to the base at night if you want to go to one of the bars (my husband and I ate/drank at Drafts several times and had a great time).
The actual condo is pretty perfect for a couple - there is a separate bedroom, and 2 doors to get into the bathroom, which is nice. They have everything you need for cooking and we were able to eat in a couple nights. Wifi worked well. Fireplace was great. Baseboard heat in the bedroom so you can be as hot/cold as you want. Bed's pretty comfy too. Small TV in the bedroom (that we didn't use) and decent sized TV in the living room with a robust cable selection if you want to chill out. All in all a great place for the price. Thank you Marnie!
Thank you Marnie for providing the base to the best holiday we have ever had. The Condo was simply perfect for our small family, it had everything we needed and more. From check in to check out, everything went as planned. Quite simply we loved it, and intend to make it "our" winter home for many seasons to come. The location - perfect, the condition - perfect, the ease of everything - perfect, the communications from booking till check out - perfect, the downside - sorry found none.
Thank you again so much Marnie, for allowing us to experience your wonderful little piece of paradise. Even after travelling 24 hours to get there, it was just awesome!
We found this place very useful for our needs, really liked the close location to the Canyons and would stay here again.
I booked the property for my parents. Everything went very smoothly in the booking process, and the rental was exactly as advertised. Being ground floor was a plus. The deck is shaded - which is beautiful in the summer - and overlooks the newly installed golf course which has been fully landscaped. The facilities around the Canyons are very impressive and the connectivity to 'greater' Park City couldn't be easier, with free bus services within 50 yards. It all combined for a very enjoyable summer vacation. I would recommend this without hesitation.
My husband and I along with our son and his girlfriend stayed in this condo in May and a good time was had by all. It was clean, cute and well maintained. We absolutely loved it and it was perfect for our needs. We walked to the lift, cooked out on the balcony and enjoyed the pool. Our short drive into town was so easy, we did it often. We drank wine, snuggled in the living room with the fireplace going and talked until midnight every evening. We consider this a great value and we will definitely be staying there again. The pictures represent the condo very well, except that now there is hardward (which was a great surprise).
I recently stayed at this Red Pines condo. The condo is located close to the Cabiolet lift that takes you to the Canyons village where the ski lifts are located. However, it is a difficult walk. I suggest you plan on driving your car to the Cabriolet parking lot (free).
The unit provides ample space for 2. However, the foldout sleeper sofa needs to be replaced. It is the only comforatable piece of furniture in the living room but is has very little support under the cushions so you sink into it. Further, an adult cannot sleep on the mattress. I would not even put my son on it. The refrigerator needs to be repaired. Although it keeps items cold every hour it roars for about 10 minutes. Not sure what is causing this but it can be heard from the bedroom even with the door closed waking us up.
There is no internet access in the unit. However, it is a short walk to the Red Pine clubhouse where free Wi-Fi is available. Also, the clubhouse has an excellent hot tub and heated pool. The cable TV in the unit has very limited channel options (no ESPN, CNN, etc.). If you want to catch a sporting event head to Draghts in the Canyons Village.
The unit has a nice private balcony with functioing gas fireplace that has direct access to a gas line so purchasing propane/charcoal is not needed. There is an electric coffer maker in the unit as well.
Once the refrigerator is repaired and sleeper sofa replaced I would consider a future stay in this unit.
