About Ann Barrow
We are diplomats with the U.S. Department of State and have lived all over the world, always looking for the perfect home to buy. It took us many years, but we finally found it in South Miami.
Ann Barrow purchased this House in 2013
Why Ann Barrow chose South Miami
Villa on Sunset blends architectural and historical charm with the comfort, design and convenience of a newly-built luxury home. This house has a unique place in South Florida's history, but it is also reminiscent of the original settlers' homes we always admired when working many years in Kenya.
What makes this House unique
Villa on Sunset is a haven for rest and relaxation and at the same time a great location for enjoying all the fun, exciting and memorable elements that are Miami. Brilliant restaurants, the best shopping, nightlife, golf, tennis, watersports, top universities and hospitals, Miami Int'l Airport -- just everything is very nearby -- often within walking distance. And if you prefer to just curl up and relax, you will enjoy the Villa's high speed internet and cable TV.

Second time staying in this home
We’ve loved this home both times we’ve stayed. Clean, convenient and very comfortable. We’ll be back.
Wonderful property. Excellent location. House looks the same as you see in pictures
My family and I rented the property for our son’s graduation from FSU. We were 7 pax including both grandmothers. We really enjoy the house, great moments all together...just like staying at home
Beautiful home, perfect for extended family vacation together
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were there for an event at U of Miami and the house is very well located for easy access to the university. It is on a Main Street but set back and very quiet. It was perfectly clean and has great space for extended family- three large bedrooms plus 2.5 baths, two outdoor eating areas, two indoor den/living rooms. Worked out great for us. Would definitely stay there again or recommend it to friends.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa on Sunset. The home is absolutely perfect. It has personality and charm. Beds are comfortable, house was clean, yard was immaculate. Plenty of room for 6 adults. We could have housed 8, especially if 1 or 2 were children. Great location if you are in Miami to see various sites. Driving distance to everything we wanted to do - Everglades, beaches, Key Biscayne, Bayside, and the iconic small towns. Highly recommend!
Our extended family was on vacation for my son's recital at U. Miami. We had 8 people in our party, and fit comfortably in this beautiful home. The property is gated and sits back from the road. It is surrounded by tropical plantings that give the feeling of complete privacy. The sleeping area is separated by two doors blocking noise from the living room/dining room, so early risers did not have to worry about bothering the late sleepers. I can't pick a favorite room, as there were many beautiful spaces to sit and talk, or get away and have some quiet time. We all loved the surrounding gardens! The bonus was the flock of wild peacocks roaming around the neighborhood. If our travels bring us back to Miami, we will definitely visit this beautiful property again. Thank you, Ann!
We had a lovely stay with two toddlers in tow! The house had enough space/rooms for us to spread out. It was a very comfortable and beautifully decorated home. It is in a great location to access all south Miami things! Ann was also always accessible and very helpful throughout the stay!
