Photos and Description of this 2 bedroom holiday home in Nice Area - Jasmin Villa, St Paul de Vence

2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, 2 WC, living/dining room, garden, terrace, balcony, pool

If you are seeking a charming home with character in a quiet location with wonderful views yet close to a beautiful village and all the sites and sounds of the Riviera, then Jasmin Villa could be the perfect choice for you!

About the property (inside): Jasmin villa has been lovingly furnished in a Provençal/'shabby chic' style with unique and charming pieces all sourced locally from brocantes and antique shops. There is a spacious living/dining room with a large sofa, 2 chairs and a dining table with 4 chairs. For your entertainment there is a flat screen TV with a range of English-speaking satellite channels, Apple TV or the internet using the 'Film On' app so you need a laptop/ipad or smart phone to access television). There is a DVD player, a selection of DVD's and books. Wifi is provided. French doors lead out onto the courtyard garden which has a table and chairs and comfortable lounge seating area. A small separate kitchen is well equipped with a large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, oven and ceramic hob and microwave. We know many of our guests enjoy cooking so we provide a wide range of pots, pans, dishes and cooking utensils. There is a small casual eating area for two. There is also a downstairs WC with wash-hand basin and a washing machine and a hallway with a writing desk. An iron, ironing board, clothes horse, vacuum cleaner and cleaning materials are provided. The staircase (fitted with a handrail) leads upstairs to two double bedrooms, one with a balcony and the other with a large terrace with views up to St Paul. One bedroom has a king size bed, fitted wardrobe with built in shelves, the other two twin single beds and a large authentic French armoire. There are mirrors in both rooms. Additional pillows and blankets are available if required. We provide free-standing fans for the heat in summer and wall fitted electric heaters which are very effective in the winter. There is a fully-tiled bathroom with bath and shower head, a separate walk-in shower and an electric towel rail. A hairdryer is provided.

About the property (outside) : Jasmin is a modest, semi-detached villa with a small private courtyard garden of jasmin (French spelling), shrubs and flowers with woodland beyond. An upstairs balcony and large terrace offer unsurpassed views up to the village of St Paul and the mountains behind. There is plenty of outside space ideal for enjoying a meal, sunbathing or relaxing in the shade. Both the terrace and garden are paved and have wrought iron tables and chairs.

About the location: Our home is situated in an exclusive, gated, hilltop domaine of private one bedroom and two bedroom residences. There are 20 properties in total and approximately half of them are holiday rentals. It was formerly a hotel and in it's hey day competed with the Columbe D'Or! It is located in a prime but quiet semi-rural position on the Cote D’Azur between Nice & Antibes yet only 10 minutes drive from the airport and just 15-20 minutes walk to the stunning medieval village of St Paul de Vence. Domaine du Piol has a lot of history and character and enjoys an elevated position surrounded by woodland with views over the valley below. There is a large, shared pool which gets the sun all day with sun loungers, parasols and an outdoor shower. The pool is just around the corner from the villa but out of sight. The location of the villa is private, quiet and secure. There is only one other villa adjoining it and a small apartment out of sight, under the pool.

We want you to thoroughly enjoy your stay so we have tried to think of everything so you will be as comfortable as possible. If there is anything we can organise in advance of your stay it would be our pleasure to do that for you. Our concierge can also organise 'meet and greet', shopping, taxi services. cleaning/laundry changes and baby sitting if required. A comprehensive information pack includes lots of recommendations for your stay.

Why Janet Hamilton chose Nice Area

My husband and I fell in love with this property when we first rented it in 2005 and were thrilled when it came up for sale several years later. The views up to the beautiful village of St Paul de Vence are breath-taking and there's nothing we enjoy more than sitting on the terrace or in the garden savouring the views of the village and mountains and enjoying its very beautiful and peaceful green surroundings. The villa is located in a historic domaine which feels rather like a little hamlet. It has a lot of character and charm. We are fortunate on the domaine to have a large, beautiful pool with lovely views right down the hillside to the sea. The domaine enjoys a fantastic elevated position and is surrounded by woodland. Despite its semi-rural location all the delights of the Riviera are only a short drive away.

What makes this house unique

Without doubt the views of St Paul de Vence are very special and we guarantee will capture your heart! The villa is situated in a very peaceful and private location surrounded by woodland. The large communal swimming pool is right around the corner - just a short stroll from the villa. We have taken great pride in renovating the villa in a delightful provencal style with lovely pieces sourced from the local brocantes and antique markets. We take pride in presenting our villa to a high standard and we hope we have thought of everything to ensure that our guests stay is as comfortable and pleasant as possible. We have many returning guests - which is a good sign that we must be doing something right!

Wonderful property with superb views.

  • 5 of 5

Jasmine Villa is a lovely place to stay and we quickly felt at home! The property is delightful, well equipped and surpassed our expectations. We loved the garden for relaxing and eating al fresco!! The location is wonderful, an easy walk to St. Paul de Vence, so not to be missed!! We enjoyed a couple of meals there; and so handy for the bus to Nice. It was also very reassuring to know that if any problems occurred, the concierge, Rachel, was only a phone call away. Thank you for a very memorable holiday.

An amazing property in an incredible area

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I had the opportunity to stay at this property for 6 weeks over Christmas and January. Wow! The photographs do a great job of showing off its features but when you walk in and experience first hand it is even more spectacular. The location is phenominal sitting on top of a little hilltop as part of what use to be a hotel complex with spectacular 360 views. The villa itself is on the north side of the property and has amazing views of St Paul de Vence and the mountains behind it. The villa is beautifully appointed reflecting the charm and style of the provence. Janet the owner was a pleasure to work with, very responsive and we were suprised she even had a litttle christmas tree setup for us! Nothing like walking in and having a bottle of wine waiting for you! Watching the sun come up and hit the mountains and hill towns each morning from your bed was quite the treat. We were also very pleasantly surprised with how much there is to see and do in the area (100km radius). After 6 weeks we litterally felt we still had so much more that we could do. Besides Monaco, Nice, Antibes, Cannes, and St Tropez, there are dozens of little villages, each with their own old world charm to explore. We also greatly enjoyed the many hiking trails. Lots along the sea front, even more in the hills, and spectacular hikes up in the mountains. This villa was a perfect place from which we could do all our daily excursions or just sit back and relax and be very comfortable. We would highly recommend this villa.

Wonderful stay

  • 5 of 5

We had such a wonderful stay at Jasmin Villa. Thankfully, Janet was able to accommodate us at the last minute as we literally asked the day before. The place was clean, warm and completely welcoming. Janet supplied us with a high chair, which we requested. And while she arranged for a babysitter, we decided to spend our four nights in because we just enjoyed being there so much.

I have to add that every single time I walked out the front door, I stopped to admire the gorgeous view. You could see it from the upstairs balconies as well, but it was a bit too chilly to sit out on them in November.

Thank you again for such a wonderful stay!

A beautiful, peaceful and romantic environment.

  • 5 of 5

A feast for the spirit and the eye. The majestic mountains, rolling hills, and the proud old city of Saint Paul - still standing guard over the valley.

We spend days reading, playing chess or cards, or just relaxing at the villa. The décor is beautifully done - we loved the old photos and the huge mirror in the living/dining area.

We did visit a few very interesting places, and had the most delicious Osso Buco at La Verrerie de Biot, a very special Sunday lunch at Hotel le Saint Paul, and lovely crêpes at La Malouine in Grasse. We drove through Monaco (on the bus!), and had a good laugh at Marineland in Antibes. St Paul was full of surprises with it's medieval secrets still looming...

Although we hired a car, we also used the train to get around. There are pattisseries, boulangeries as well as supermarkets where we could buy everything we needed for our stay - 5 minutes drive from Jasmin Villa.

It truly was an unforgettable holiday.

beautiful, charming villa with great hosts

  • 5 of 5

We koved villa Jasmin as it has heart and soul in every corner. A great place to unwind in a wonderful environment and area with great possibilities for excursions. But instead of rushing out to a restautant on our last evening we preferred to stay home for coziness. Janet our host was very thoughtful and present when having quesions. We would always come back here if Jasmin is available. We can highly recommend this beautiful villa and complex. Thank you - you made our stay so memorable! Steffi and Peter Ortmann
