Suzanne Scott purchased this apartment in 2013
This area is the most desirable in the Marigny .
Kelerec street is a unique street, featuring fabulous turn of the century homes and is safe and super friendly. Neighbors gather at our neighborhood bar called The 'R' Bar for a casual visit or a friday night Crawfish Boil.
We worked here periodically and discovered this cozy neighborhood thru friends of ours.
This unit feels like home and is decorated with unique pieces with a New Orleans flare. Guaranteed not to be disappointed!
This place is a gem. Suzanne, the owner lives in the adjacent unit and is always available for help or a cup of sugar or anything else. The back courtyard is gorgeous, comfortable, and well-appointed. The resident pack of adorable lap dogs are a joy to hang out with during a lazy afternoon. The bed is soft and comfy, the linens plentiful. There's a washer dryer on site, as well as dish washer and Kuerig. Super convenient.
You're a 2 min walk to Frenchman street. 2 min from Horne's, a great spot for breakfast. 3 Minutes from a corner store. 5 Minutes from Buffa's for laid back live jazz and legit cajun cuisine. It's a great place to hang out and use as a base of operations. We'll definitely be back.
Tons of character, great location, and it was very easy to work with the owner. The apartment is beautiful, clean and clearly well taken care of. Suzanne is a wonderful host. The location is perfect but not right in the middle of everything so that the street was quiet. We easily walked to Marigny, the French Quarter, the Central District and the Arts District. Would definitely rent this again!
Wonderful location to stay, just far enough away from the higher traffic areas for quiet, but close enough to walk.
Suzanne and Terry treated us like we were family and we hope to return to visit them again. The apartment was very neat and clean with everything you would need.
This apartment was everything it promised and more. Nice neighborhood within walking distance to French Quarter, Frenchman Street, as well as access to light rail.
Will encourage our friends to stay here if traveling to New Orleans/French Quarter!
This is a delightful property, perfectly situated for easy access to the French Quarter and Frenchman. The home itself is warm and welcoming. It is nicely decorated, well appointed and comfortable. Appreciated the pretty patio, it was a great place to gather and relax. Also appreciated the washer and dryer to freshen up our clothes before returning home. The owner was very responsive and easy to deal with. She answered my pre booking questions and was a pleasure to work with. We will definitely be back!!!
This was a nice cute house in the perfect location. Easy to get to Frenchman's street and the square walking. However, saying that I think some things need attention from management. We couldn't get in when we first got there and I guess neighbors saw us trying to get in and called the police. Took us a while to figure out the lock. The management needs to say exactly how to turn the lock upon arriving. When we finally got in the TV in the bedroom didn't work and there were burnt light-bulbs in the lamps, We replaced the bulbs. The house was very clean and cute. The next day we went shopping and upon arriving to the house again we couldn't get the lock to work. We were stuck outside with our dogs inside. We had to call several people before someone came. We got in tried it several times and thought all was good. We took the dogs for a walk and again when we got back we could not get in.We were out there in 95 degree heat with no phone to call anyone as we had left them in the house and no water for our dogs. STRANDED! Luckily we were able to get a neighbor who gave our dogs water and had the phone number. We had to wait over an hour for someone to come. They replaced the battery of the lock and we never had a problem again. This is uncalled for. Ruined our day. Management needs to make sure lights work, TV works and most importantly change the battery on a regular basis. Manager/owner never called us to make sure we got in and had no further problem with entry. The property lady said we weren't doing the lock correctly. Really? We had been in and out of the house several times with no problems and when the battery was changed we never had another problem getting in. HMMMMMM! Thanks Terry (not the property manager) for coming out twice and thanks to the neighbor who helped us(i believe her name was Jackie). If it had not been for her, we would have been in a bad situation. Will not stay here again.
Location is prime! Minutes to Frenchman St.where you can enjoy the best restaurants like Adolfo's,Port of Call, The Marigny , stroll to the many art galleries, pubs, jazz clubs such as the Spotted Cat, Snug Harbor, DBA, BMC,and many more. Around the corner is famous Bourbon st., which leads you into the French Quarter. After a busy day take the historic tour by buggy and get dropped off at your front door.
