Enjoy the mountain views, spectacular sunrises and sunsets, and the sounds of nature.
Enjoy the free roaming alpacas who inhabit the property… they are such curious, mystical creatures.
We are adjacent to a wetlands conservation area which provides a great area for birding.
As a native of Montana, I was raised with sweeping prairies and rugged mountains. The Paul Ranch is 160 acres of natural beauty and I can't imagine living anywhere else. I enjoy meeting new people and sharing this peaceful and spectacular setting. Rick and Kathy, your hosts, will personalize your stay to make it one to remember. Come stay with us a while...
The unique benefits of the Ranch include the wildlife that inhabit the property, the pair of red tailed hawks that take up residency every year, the awesome mountain vistas, the clean air, the clear night sky, the get-away-from-it-all setting. Hearing the morning and evening sounds from the wetlands conservation area that borders the property will connect you with nature and refresh your spirit.
We stayed in the Meadowlark and it was just perfect for us. We were completely spoiled! From the fresh baked cookies welcoming us to the daily cleaning, including washing our dishes, and Terry coming by to let us know that there was a fresh vegetable market at the General Store in Babb -- we were made totally comfortable and welcomed. The house has everything you need. It was a great base for our hiking trip.
The weather was not the greatest -- cloudy, drizzle and cold -- but we made the best of it and it was always nice to come back to the house, have a glass of wine and then prepare supper.
The view from the house was awesome -- the stars at night (just a couple of nights) seemed closer than at home in Texas. This is truly a beautiful part of our country.
Gene and Terry were very helpful. We had deer in the front yard several evenings and we loved the alpacas sending us off in the morning and welcoming us home in the evenings.
It was so nice to have the washer/dryer with soap provided so that we could go home clean.
Beds were comfortable, had comfortable seating in the den and if the wind had not been blowing, sitting on the deck would have been really nice.
Also, the owner, Barbara Paul, was very helpful.
If we come back to Glacier, we will definitely stay here. Perfect for a trip visiting the park.
Property is on a ranch (with alpacas) and has amazing views. The caretakers, Gene and Terry, are wonderful! They took care of all the little details (plus lots of extra goodies!) and made us feel very welcomed and special. The house was clean and had plenty of room for the 6 of us. Remember that it is on a ranch, so expect a good number of flies and other insects. We would definitely stay here again!
I have to admit that I was put off a little bit when we drove in and saw that "the property" was a single wide trailer. I was shocked at how lovely it was inside - all the amenities, comfortable beds, washer & dryer, great views and wildlife right on "the farm". Very convenient to East Glacier, Many Glacier and Waterton. The "managers" were very helpful and interesting. Definitely a gem. Outside the Park the Two Sisters restaurant is well worth a visit.
Four ladies from GA made a dream trip to Glacier National Park, staying 3 nights in Meadowlark Meadows at Paul Ranch. The home was spotlessly clean and was stocked with everything we needed to be able to prepare simple meals (be sure and purchase your food in the bigger towns!), and having a washer and dryer available allowed us to pack a little lighter. The location is beautiful; it was the first time I have ever been able to see both ends of a rainbow, as it extended across the plains with the snow-capped mountains in the background. Very centrally located for all of the sights on the east side of Glacier National Park. We were very pleased with our stay. Thank you!
Great location very close and easy access to the East Glacier entrance into Glacier National Park. Terry greeted us upon arrival and even had homemade cookies waiting. Trailer was clean and had plenty of room for the 6 of us. Info concerning Babb is there really is nothing there. We choose to stay there to have easy access to the park. There is one very small grocery store in St. Mary which closes around 5:30pm. As Terry has recommended buy your groceries before you get there!!! Also only 5 restaurants in area. One of which is a steak place that the dinner start around 30.00 a plate. We did find a nice Mexican cantina that you sit outside and it was great and dinner started at 10.00 a plate. Only thing that was a surprise for us about the trailer was it had no air conditioning. Im sure it was an oversight on our part and honestly we were there at a great time of year and it was fine without it.
Our group of four adults had a wonderful experience at the Paul Ranch- something so unique from your standard hotel room! We stayed in the Elk Willows house and found it to be charming, large, clean and provided all the comforts of home including a washer and dryer. Where else could you stay with cattle and alpaca grazing right next to the driveway? The view of the mountains from the deck was amazing! The west entrance to Glacier NP was very close. The caretakers,Terry and her husband, promptly took care of any issues or requests that came up. We loved it!
