Why Andrew Anselmo/ Owner; Property Mgr. chose Peconic
This old house has been completely renovated. It still has original wood floors on the 2nd floor! We fell in love with the area and this property the minute we saw it. We know you will enjoy your stay here!
What makes this Cottage unique
POOL has been added by us in 2009 (open May-Sep) It is heated to your liking and has an automatic pool cover and light for night time swimming. This pool is filled with salt water ( not chlorine) and it feels as if you are swimming in a lake. Beautiful!

Better than expected
We were delighted by our stay in Peconic.
This home was much more charming than we anticipated. The pictures didn't do it justice. It was clean, cool (very hot weekend) and had lovely artistic touches all around.
The pool was also a game changer for a vacation stay.
We also traveled all around the North Fork (and Shelter Island) with ease.
Our host was just as lovely and gave us a bottle of wine to enjoy.
If there were 6 stars, I would do that. And further... we will be back next year for longer.
Andrew and his wife were great. Very responsive throughout the process and accommodating. The property has an amazing pool and great outdoor space including a trampoline, BBQ and fire pit - it’s both kid and adult friendly. The house is clean and spacious, and is centrally located on the North Fork so all main attractions are within a 15 minute drive. We highly recommend.
4th of July Stay
We were six people staying at Andrew's and had a great 4th of July weekend. We arrived a little early and Andrew was very accommodating. He met us to show us around the house and property. We spent most of our day time by the pool, which was lovely and made a fire every night, which was a great addition to the backyard. Andrew was available the whole weekend to answer any questions we had. He even suggested the best place to watch fireworks, which was very nice.
The location is in a great spot. Close to Greenport and also close to the wineries. We would definitely recommend this spot for a weekend trip with friends.
A few of my girlfriends and I spent a relaxing weekend celebrating my upcoming wedding. The property is well maintained and had all the essentials provided. The pool and BBQ was always available to us. The owner of this property lives in the other house on the property. He greeted us upon arrival and we did not see him again until departure. He told us he was available if we needed anything, but he provided us with all the information we needed beforehand. The property is close to many wineries and is within walking distance of a cute farm stand. We had no problem getting an Uber to take us wherever we wanted to go. Greenport is about a 10 minute drive away.
Perfect respite for a group
We were 6 adults and a 2 years old out for a long, relaxing weekend. From the start, Andrew was wonderful to work with. He was very responsive and accommodating and answered my many questions about the house and the area. The house is a converted barn and is full of light and fresh air. The open floor layout made it seem even more spacious. The upstairs kitchen was my favorite part of the house, with an original cast iron sink and big window overlooking the pool. We used the BBQ and picnic table every night! The pool was just as extraordinary as everyone says. Perfect temperature, incredibly clean and the salt water gives it a soft, silky texture. We spent WAY too much time in the pool!
The location really can't be beat. There is a gas station across the street which we walked to at night when we needed last minute provisions. It is right in Peconic, and we were able to bike to the goat cheese farm, the brewery, and no less than 10 wineries (not that we could possibly make it to that many!). The North Fork is my absolute favorite area of Long Island and preferable any day over the Hamptons. I hope we return to Andrew's Pool House many times again! Thanks, Andrew, for creating the perfect experience for our group!
Thank you for the kind review! We look forward to having you back as well.
Beautiful, Quaint and Rustic
Our stay at this lovely pool house was fabulous!!! It was perfect!! We were 5 people: my husband and I and our 3 adult children. It was our mini family reunion as we live in different parts of the country. We brought an air mattress that fit nicely in the upper part of the house but could have easily fit in the bottom level. It does sleep 6 but my kids all wanted their own bed. The pool was divine both during the day and in the evening with the pool light on. It was the perfect backdrop for our campfires in the fire pit. We cooked on the charcoal grill several times and enjoyed the meals poolside. There is a lovely deck off the kitchen overlooking the pool where we ate breakfast each morning. The beach was a 15-20 minute walk down Henry St. to a trail that led to the beach. Orient beach was a 25 minute drive. Great for BBQ and Kayak rentals. A small farm stand with lovely staff was within walking distance. Fresh seafood at Braun's and King Kullen only a 10 minute ride. Brewery and wineries within minutes drive. What else can I say? Everything we needed was available to us. And, as Andrew said, all the wood we could burn was at our fingertips. Andrew and Vera were wonderful and "invisible" since the pool house is located on his large yard. We would definitely stay again. Oh yeah, we absolutely loved the wall of books!!! A wide variety of subjects and even children's books. The only down side was a lot of up and down on the stairs because the kitchen is on the upper level and bathroom on lower level.
So glad you enjoyed your stay!
Located in the midst of the beautiful wine country, you are very close to multiple beaches, fine dining, great scenery, water views, charming towns on the North Fork like Southold, and Greenport. Short distance away to Shelter Island.
