About Maria J. Molero
We are originally from Spain. We went on vacation to Vermont and completely felt in love with the place. So we decided to buy our second home there.
Why Maria J. Molero chose Weathersfield
The moment we saw this house we knew this was the house for us. Living in a big city this property allows us to really disconnect and rest. The peace and silence are much appreciated. Being secluded gives us a sense of freedom. Besides, the house is spectacular, we just love the design. We love hiking, so having 150 acres with our own tracks and a State Park bordering the property allows us to explore and do different exciting trails every time.

Beautiful Home in the hills of VT!!
We stayed for Columbus Day weekend and it was amazing!! The property is breathtaking, the views are incredible. The outdoor space is definitely the highlight of this home-huge wrap around deck off the back, beautiful tennis court, nice lawn for playing games-we loved it!! Maria was very easy to work with and very quick with her replies.
The house was VERY clean when we arrived. The kitchen was stocked with all plates, cups, cooking utensils, pots and pans. There is a nice, big grill on the deck that we used a couple of times. This is a house that has been lived in-it doesn't have brand new showers or light fixtures-we had no issue with that-everything was clean and worked and we felt it was perfect! I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a great place for a VT getaway-we will be back!!
This property was beautiful. A must stay! The views are amazing and it offers everything you need to make you feel at home. Perfectly nestled on Mt Ascutney and close to many beautiful sight seeing opportunities. Not too far from town and all your necessities. There was a few things that we overlooked simply because our purpose was served and we loved the property for the pool, cascade falls behind the house and its location. There is no AC and at night in the end of August is not bad but the day was unbearable. As a result the mold smell wont allow you to go downstairs to the game room (which was unfortunate). The pool was also very cold and the heater does not work. We still swam and had a blast! The is one of the nicest places we have found in the area. Maria and her family do their best and were delightful host right down to the personal touches!
We will see you next year!
The perfect place to recharge
My two teenage boys summed up the place within the first 15 minutes of arriving..."this place is awesome!" And I am sure if my dogs could speak...they would have thanked us for bringing them to paradise! Maria's home allowed us all to recharge and just invites you to be outside - from the beautiful pool, to ping pong, to the spacious yard where we set up ladder ball to the sounds of the stream a few minute walk through the woods, to the deck outside the master bedroom (one of three decks) perfect for Yoga, reading and a cup of coffee in the morning; while the mist lifted away to reveal the mountain view. The family room with floor to ceiling fireplace surrounded by windows and nature was the perfect place for nightly games of Yahtzee . Woodstock is about 30 mins away and a beautiful drive, with fun shops, 15 mins beyond that is Sugarbush farm with cheese and maple syrup tasting, the local pizza Place Ramunto's is about 15 mins away in Claremont and was a perfect family restaurant with great pizza. We did not make it to the waterfall..perhaps one of many reasons to return next year :) ....but all in all a wonderful home that had us all outside more than we have been in a long time. Thank you Maria for such a wonderful home for our family vacation.
Perfect getaway to relax and refuel
With a group of 5 we stayed for 4 nights at the property of Maria. The house is beautifully located at a secluded location in the woods. There was more than enough space to host our group. The house has all the appliances that you'll need and then some. We really enjoyed the private pool and the tennis/basketball court. Having our breakfast and diner on the huge deck attached to the house, with a wide view over the surrounding nature, helped us relax completely. There's by the way a great hike starting in the backyard to a really nice waterfall about a mile upstream from the creek that you'll hear flowing when you're relaxing in the backyard. During our stay we also had a cooking workshop given by Ashlee during which we've made some true American Classics (must do!). To finish we want to thank Maria again for the good communication before, during and after our stay. Don't hesitate to be hosted by Maria when you're in the area and looking for a place to relax and refuel!
This is a great "family vacation" house. Big, airy, private and lots of built in activities.
We stayed here recently with extended family (6A, 4K, 2dogs). Plenty of space and nice accommodations. The house is wonderful, lots of open space, inside and out. The deck off the living room was our daily meeting point to watch the sky transition into night. Mornings were spent in & around the great outdoor pool. Hiking strait out the property onto State Forest land (waterfalls and swimming hole!) was phenomenal.
The tennis court was fantastic. Very well maintained and a great place for the kids/dogs to burn off energy. Tennis, basketball (excellent backboard), skateboarding, whiffle-ball, modified volleyball, chasing the dogs, you name it, it happened here.
Inside, everything was well organized (kitchen & laundry/store room), and the dining room, living rooms and game room are well furnished. The kitchen had everything we expected (we did bring some of our own kitchen tools & small appliances, from past rental experience). If you're inclined to "work the kitchen", maybe pack a few dish towels and your favorite knives. Pots, pans, plates, glass wear, table wear & utensils are ample & appropriate. No "gas station jelly jars" for cups here!
The grill outside was clean and worked well. (We did have to replace a fuel bottle, but not a big issue.) Only thing missing was a big outdoor dining table set. Certainly room for one on the multilevel deck.
The bedrooms were well furnished and comfortable. Our stay coincided with a particularly hot week weather-wise, but the large number of windows made for an excellent draft. House has a number of big portable room fans too, which were very much appreciated.
A few items show their age (bed frames & some furniture) and would like to have had more outdoor seating (dining table, pool seating, etc.) For a house that sleeps 10+, only four chairs on the deck and limited seating by the pool left us wanting. Outdoor furniture was also showing its age.
The rental included linens, which were decent enough. Would recommend BYO towels for showering. Bed linens were good.
All told, we had a great week, and everyone in our family was sad to leave our temporary family home in the mountains, especially the dogs. We will be back again, as the location offers a lot in every season. Nice towns, activities and things to do nearby.
Only disappointment involved a bathroom issue. Upon arrival, the cleaning staff said the basement BR was not working. Informed the caretaker, but they did not come to address it.
Most relaxing getaway we had for years.
For the little time we spent in this lovely home, we felt our stress melting away. It has such a positive vibe, you can’t help but let yourself relax. Breathing in the fresh air in the morning, sipping your coffee watching all shades of green as far as your eyes can see...
We found everything we needed in the house. Kitchen, laundry room, game room, livingroom, everything was well stacked for whatever we might need. Handpicked flowers and some personal touches surely made us smile on our arrival, so thank you. Weather didn’t cooparate for us to fully enjoy the outdoors, but with a 6 year old and a 12 year old, we still had a great time keeping busy and having fun in the house.
Looking forward to going back again.
