Welcome to our beautiful cabin!
Well-equipped as a relaxing getaway, there is high-speed wireless internet and local cell service to help keep you connected if you choose. Spend time on our large deck, with part of it covered for enjoying a mountain rainstorm in the outdoors and part of it open for unrestricted access to the beautiful mountain skies. A fire pit awaits you as well, making a hot dog roast and s'mores just a few steps away.
For your entertainment needs we offer satellite television in our living room on a fantastic 55 inch LED TV, a Blu-Ray player, and access to Netflix, Hulu, and more. The master bedroom also has a TV with Blu-Ray and satellite. With 15Mb wireless internet, you can access your own entertainment from anywhere in the cabin or outside. If you need to slip into 'workation' mode, dial in from the deck and enjoy the brisk mountain air while doing it.
This three bedroom cabin has 1 king bedroom, a queen bedroom, and a kids room. The kids room has a bunk bed with two crib mattresses plus a queen. The cabin will comfortably accommodate 4-6 adults plus additional children. The dining room seats 6, but there is additional seating space on the deck and around the cabin.
The downstairs bath features a shower, the upstairs is a full bath with tub and shower. The kitchen is well-equipped with microwave, and coffee maker in addition to the standard kitchen appliances - if you get bored of using the kitchen to cook we have a gas grill outside. We have a washer and dryer as well for those longer stays, and all towels and linens are provided.
Top it all off with plenty of parking - 5 vehicles can comfortably park with the circular driveway, with pull-up access for a big pickup with a toy hauler.
If you are looking for a rental in the area then you probably already know about everything there is to do, but here are some of the nearby activities:
- 5 national parks just hours away (Bryce, Zion, Arches, Capitol Reef, Canyonlands)
- Too many state parks, national monuments, and other outdoor destinations to list.
- Mountain biking trails
- A major ski resort at Brian Head
- 600 miles of ATV/snowmobile trails with local rentals
- Several lakes and streams for fishing
- Caving, with several small caves in the immediate area
- Many incredible scenic drives
- Winter sports including snow-shoeing, cross-country skiing, and sledding
We know you will love our cabin as much as we do!
Wow, what a cabin! We have never had so much fun sledding, and having a big TV for the kids to gather around while drinking hot chocolate afterwards was perfect. We loved all the deck space to sprawl out on, and having the entire deck fenced off and gated (kid friendly!) really sets this cabin apart.
We look forward to our next visit!
Our stay at this cabin was memorable in all the wrong ways and we cut the trip short because of all of our challenges. James is the worst owner I’ve ever dealt with and he obviously makes renters get the traveler’s insurance because he wants to make false claims against his renters. All in all, do not rent this place. The night before our stay I received a call from the owner explaining that it snowed in the area.He asked if we had 4WD vehicles available to get up to the cabin to which I replied NO. The rental company my family used ran out of 4wd even though they had reserved one and since the owner had told us before that there hadn’t been Thanksgiving snow in the 15 years since he has been going to Duck Creek, we didn’t worry about it. That was totally false. What he failed to tell me before reserving and over the phone is that the road to the cabin off of the highway is unpaved dirt that does not get plowed unless there is a much larger amount of snow. I live in Utah and my family was joining me for a Thanksgiving get-a-way. My front-wheel drive manual transmission SUV has never failed me in any other mountains. I explained our vehicles to the owner and he said there should be no problem. It turns out, there were problems. My parents were the first to arrive in their rental van. They were able to get half way up the hill to the cabin and completely lost control of the van, crashed in to a huge boulder and went in to a ditch. Luckily, there were extremely helpful neighbors that passed by the van in the ditch and offered to help. The neighbor also offered to transport my parents up to the cabin. When I called James to explain what happened I asked if they had any other properties to switch this one because it was not looking good. He was unsympathetic and said I should try to get there anyways. I thought we could handle it for one night and I would get up there first thing the next morning, which was Thanksgiving. My car didn't make it either and the only good thing is that I didn't end up in a ditch. The snow turned to ice the night before. We left the cabin, it wasn't worth being isolated and stuck. When we called James after getting a new place and settling in it was 1.5 days after and he had the nerve to say that somehow the snow supposedly melted but at the same time the pipes froze and caused damages that we are responsible for. He blames us for being unprepared. He MISLED us and it trying to file a FRAUDULENT insurance claim against us.
This property is located in a very nice forested location. It is clean and comfortable and the descriptions of the locations and amenities were spot on. The property was clean and well-maintained and the customer service was good. I would recommend anybody thinking about renting in the area consider this property. It is conveniently located within short driving distances to National and State parks.

Wanted to get away from the heat of Las Vegas for a few days. This cabin was perfect for that. We spend most of our time outside. It was way to nice to be inside. Every morning and night deer walked right past us. The day we were leaving a deer walked right up to car to say goodbye. The owners were also great to deal with. We had a question when we first got there and they got right back to us. Then when we left I thought I left something behind. They went out of there way to go look for me, thank you. I would have liked to have written nothing and kept this place to myself, but the owners were so nice I had to share. Hope if you book this cabin you enjoy it as much as we did. We hope to go back again.
I love staying at this property (2nd time for me). Very toddler friendly and has bunks for little ones. They even have a booster seat and a pack n play if needed. There are gates on the upstairs as well as on the very large and spacious deck to keep my little guy safe. They also accept dogs and it was great having him blocked in on the porch for his safety (he is old and can't do stairs like he thinks he can). It is close to everything we needed or wanted to see (Bryce only an hour or so away, lava tubes and near lakes/ponds for my husband to fish). We had so many deer come though the yard. One time about 8 at one time! They had everything we needed and we shopped at cedar city before heading up duck creek. I recommend staying here. :)
