Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us. We really enjoyed our stay. We left about 7:00 am Wed. morning, and left the sheets and towels that we used on top of the washing machine, as we did not have time to wash and dry them before we left. We did dry the towels so they would not mildew, but they still need to be washed. The house looked great when we got there and also when we left. We took the final bag of trash with us as we left.
The guys were able to catch only 5 fish, and that was disappointing, but we had a great vacation anyway. The water was beautiful, the scenery was spectacular, and we were able to play golf a couple of times and see the caverns as well. Your friend Laura was so very helpful. She even came over and let our dog out for us when we were gone for the day. Then relaxing on the deck with a glass of wine before dinner or drowning a few worms off the lower deck made for a great day every day.
Thank you again for being such a considerate host. We hope to do this again next year.
House was very nice. Loved the big deck on the water!!! We will definitely stay again!!!
We had a such a great time just sitting by the river, grilling out and enjoying the peace and quiet. We can`t wait to return later this year.

The Heaven on the Chipola River was more than we could have ever imagined. The place was gorgeous and Mrs. Applewhite was a pleasure to work with. We cannot wait to go back and stay again!
Sara's house on the Chipola River exceeded our best expectations. The 3 bedroom house was very roomy, comfortable and impeccably clean. The river view was spectacular especially from the back porch and on the dock. You could not see another house from the property and felt we had this paradise all to ourselves.
We had planned to go kayaking while we were there, but unfortunately the river was too high and swift after a large amount of rain they had before we got there. We explored Torreya State Park and The Nature Conservancy preserve on the bluffs of the Apalachicola River. Hiking there was amazing and felt like we were in the mountains. The beach is only 30 miles away, so this was the perfect spot to explore this area of the Florida Panhandle.
Wish we could have stayed longer, in fact we all agreed that we were going to come back to Sara's beautiful home.
Thank you Sarah for all your help and recommendations.
We took our son, daughter-in-law, and three grandchildren on a tour of four North Florida State Parks and made Sara's perfect home our base. The home is large and beautifully decorated, and was laid out just right for us, with well-stocked kitchen and bathrooms, comfy beds, and plenty of storage. The location could not have been more idyllic, with two decks overlooking the unspoiled Chipola River. Sara was so helpful and kind. We 'd love to come back.
We loved our weekend! First of all, Sara was a joy to work with. Always responded promptly and went out of her way to make sure our stay was great.
The pictures do not do this listing justice. The home is way larger than it looks, the views are spectacular, and the location was great.
We booked this so we could be in a convenient location to meet our kids who live in Graceville. It was secluded but not far from the stores, and it was a straight shot back to Graceville in a little over an hour. The home was equipped with everything we needed and more. The beds were so comfortable and the lay out of the house gave our daughter and son in law their own side of the house and some privacy, while we stayed in the master suite.
We took our dogs on this trip and they loved it too! Walking around the property with them was so relaxing. It was so quiet and peaceful.
All in all I would highly recommend this property. Maybe next time we will bring a kayak or fishing gear and take advantage of the outdoors. But we will be back!
