Cape San Blas is well-known for the friendliest people in Florida. Also, the fishing is famous here. Our location is known for the best fishing location. Kayaking, shelling, crabbing, and scalloping are just a few of the activities to be enjoyed. We also have a new bike path which runs the entire length of the Cape. Bikes are available for rent. There is always something going on of interest in nearby Port St. Joe.

After living in the Bahamas for sometime, Linda and Buddy started looking for a property stateside which would have the same appeal. Cape San Blas was their choice after months of previewing other areas. 'The rawness of the area is more appealing than the Caribbean. You will see Bald Eagles and much more. St. Joseph Peninsula State Park at the end of the Cape is a birding as well butterfly sanctuary. The people are the friendliest we have ever met and we have travelled all over the world.' Come, spend time staying active or just soaking up some rays by the most pristine water. Linda says the beaches are even more beautiful than the Caribbean. Check it out for yourself.

Lime Pie is a beautiful home with an amazing view of the gulf. It was wonderful to be steps away from the water. The sunsets were amazing. We saw dolphins every morning and evening right in front of the property. We saw bald eagles over the property as well. One evening at sunset when the waves were large we saw a shark in the shallow water, about 15 feet out. We kayaked the waters in front of the house and did fishing almost every day. We caught red fish, blue fish, Spanish mackerel, lady fish, flounder, catfish and others. We fished the bay and other freshwater areas but found the fishing was best right in front of the property. We took a ferry for a half day trip to St. Vincent Island Nature Preserve and rode our bicycles the length of the island to have lunch on the other beach. It was an 18 mile round trip ride. On the adventure, we saw 4 alligators, a young eagle, a group of wild baby pigs and their mama and several deer. It is a tough ride (packed sea shell path and a few sandy areas) but we managed to complete it in 3 hours with stops for pictures and lunch. The bait shop guys on the cape were very helpful and gave good guidance. The trading post offers a very good variety of groceries and essential items (and decent prices) if you forget anything. There are beautiful white sandy beaches and lots of sea shells, especially when we went to the state park area. We cooked at Lime Pie most days but did go to Port St. Joe for lunch at Krazy Fish and it was fabulous. We also had dinner at Provisions and would recommend it as well. We had an amazing vacation!
The house was great. Close to the beach. I would not recommend for family with children because the beach in front of the house is full of stumps-dangerous to get in the water. You have to move down several hundred feet to get in the water. Other than this, our stay was great.
This home is wonderful. Comfortable with beautiful decor. The location is amazing, with the nearly empty beach just a few steps away. Our family of three had such a great time, collecting shells (there are tons), snorkeling, seeing the local sights and relaxing. We hated to leave, but will definitely be returning next year. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
You can not get any closer to the beach! The furnishings are fabulous, a total dream home. The pictures just don't do this place justice. There is plenty of room to spread out, even upstairs. Cooking every day is wonderful, all your necessities are here. If you don't cook, Port St. Joe or Apalachicola are quick drives away. Outside is perfect with sunrises on the porch and sunsets on the beach or the patio swing. The Lime House is absolutely FANTASTIC! We will be back.
This home is beautifully decorated and clean. Linda has gone the extra mile to make this vacation home special. We have visited this home for the past two years and have booked for a third. Just could not be any better!!
I rarely write reviews but your place is so spectacular that I felt I must. This was probably the best vacation our family has ever spent together. The place was beautiful and perfect for our grandchildren. Everyone had there own bedroom and bath and that really makes it easier for each family.. Wanted to let you know that when we arrived on Saturday one the dining chairs was broken and a piece of it had been placed in the window sill. We folded the chair and placed it under the stereo. I believe it can be fixed but wanted to let you know that it was like that when we arrived. We hope to come back and be able to rent your place again. Thanks again for sharing your wonderful beach home with our family.
