About the property

2 Bedroom, 1 Bath beach steps from the beach

This quaint, cozy 2 bed/1 bath beach cottage sleeps 5-7 people and is the perfect get away for two couples or a small family. You must see the pictures to appreciate our sweet home. The master bedroom has a queen bed with a plush mattress, while the second bedroom has a twin over full bunk bed. There is a CordaRoy convertible sleeper that sleeps 2. It's a huge foam chair that converts to a queen sized bed. The house has tile throughout. The kitchen is stocked with everything you will need for a relaxing vacation. You can cook if you want, or go visit the many restaurants that are very close. There is a wonderful, bright Florida room at the back of the house - perfect for that morning cup of coffee and a great book. The family room has a 47 inch flat screen HDTV with too many channels to mention. There is also a Blueray player and a DVR for the shows you just can't miss. We are equipped with high speed internet as well. The couch in that room also pulls out to make another queen size bed. The beach is just a block from our front door. You can sit on the front porch and listen to the waves after a long day enjoying the many attractions nearby. Tom Renick park is a few blocks north of us, which provides a beautiful place to camp out at the beach for the day. There are clean bathrooms, showers and even a play structure for the children, if you can ever tear them away from playing in the sand and the waves. Come and make our home your home for a vacation you will always remember.

About Meg Sams

We are a beach loving family that make our current home in the Atlanta, GA area. Growing up in South Florida instilled in us a love for the sand and waves. We knew we would always make it back down to sunny Florida someday. We have 3 young boys who also share our love for surfing and sailing. This cozy cottage is our home away from home....

great little house, perfect location

  • 5 of 5

house was clean and felt like a house not a rental, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone looking for an affordable place to stay. neighbor who is property caretaker was so friendly and when she seen us always asked if we needed anything. if you are reading this review looking for a place, book it you wont be disappointed. Ormond and Flagler beaches are great and not overcrowded.

What an AMAZING vacation!

  • 5 of 5

A few of my friends and I ventured to Ormond Beach after a recommendation by a former co-worker of mine and I am glad we did! After searching VRBO for places to stay, we were instantly "hooked" when we saw this property. The price for a whole week for an entire house was absolutely unbeatable! Meg was always prompt in answering questions, before and during our stay. This property is one that you do not want to miss out on! Close enough to the strip in Daytona but far enough away that you can relax and unwind after a long day at the beach! I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for something different and unique. We felt welcomed from the moment we entered the house until we checked out! This is somewhere I would love to return in the future! Thank you for helping us have a great vacation! FYI Lenny's Pizza (in walking distance), Riptides, and Crabby Joes (in Daytona) are GREAT options for food!

Cozy, homey cottage needs a little TLC

  • 3 of 5

Upon arrival we found lawn needed mowing and lots of dog poop needed to be picked up. After contacting realtor, lawn was mowed 2 days later. Neighbor from #4 Palm lets his dog run loose frequently. Large red stain on carpet in LR in front of TV and large stain at back door, also hallway. Second day, toilet overflowed and coffeepot quit working, but with a little vinegar cleaning all was well. Overall we enjoyed our stay here, but with a little TLC it would be most enjoyable.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. I am glad to hear that after all of the "craziness" at the beginning of your stay, you did enjoy your time at our house. Thank you for being patient! We do appreciate you letting us know about the dog issues - we love dogs and that is why we allow them in our home when people are staying there. I am sorry that the last guests left a mess, but please know that we will keep an eye on this for the future. As for the stain on the carpet, we are tiling the entire house this summer with a beautiful Mexican tile. We try to do a little upgrading to our house each time we can get down there to visit. In fact, we were just there this past week and replaced the counter top in the kitchen with a cement counter top. I do hope you had a nice, relaxing time and I appreciate your feedback!

Wonderful Winter Escape!!

  • 5 of 5

This home has everything you could wish for to escape from winter's cold. It is tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Lots of natural light and beach décor. The bed in the master bedroom is very comfortable. Having a washer and dryer was a real asset. Our dog loved the fenced in back yard. We were able to cook in and loved the recommended restaurants! We loved it here....
