Isabella House is a circa 1885 cottage with vintage character and charm located in the Downriver Historic District of Natchez, Mississippi. It has been lovingly renovated from a state of total disrepair and is available for nightly and weekly stays comfortably accommodating 2-4 guests. Although furnished with many unique and antique pieces, it still offers modern conveniences such as cable, internet, dishwasher and washer/dryer as well as complimentary snacks and beverages. The rear courtyard is spacious and private and has a grill and chiminea for guest use. At Isabella House, you'll be within walking distance of wonderful downtown shops, restaurants and entertainment, but you might not want to leave the back porch!
I'm owner Jacqueline Cummings, and my business is based on the belief that my customers' needs are of the utmost importance, and I am committed to meeting those needs. As a result, a high percentage of my business is from repeat customers and referrals. I would welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and deliver you the service and travel experience that you deserve. Take a look at the Isabella House website, and if you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact me. I'd love to hear from you!
Jackie Cummings purchased this cottage in 2001
When you see the 'BEFORE' pictures on my website, you might understand why others couldn't see the potential in this property, but, although the renovation took a very long time, I always knew it could be as amazing as it is today! It was literally saved by local historic preservation efforts (which prevented it from being demolished).....and me!
We had a wonderful time and can't wait to come back again. We loved the back porch!
This charming house was perfect for our Natchez stay. Just two couples wanting to experience the history of Natchez. Not only did we visit historic sites, we stayed in one of them! The backyard is so private and peaceful, the decor was awesome, and Jackie, the owner, went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. I would highly recommend this little gem if you are looking for the perfect Natchez experience.
2 retired couples and a road trip. Part of that trip was 4 nights at Isabella House. This place was charming and the decorating, antiques and furnishings were great. Single bath, but we had no problems with that at all. Location is close to downtown, "under the bridge" eatery/saloon and centrally located for touring the mansions of the Spring Pilgrimage. Backyard was fenced, very private and a great place to kickback. So plan your trip, buy a Greg Iles novel or two and head to Natchez, MS. Great part of the country.
We had the best stay at this little house. There were so many personal touches and sweet gifts. My teenagers Loved the Oatmeal Creme Pies!! There was plenty of room for my family of four. Jackie, the owner say so helpful and welcoming.
It rained during our stay. We were sad we didn't get to use the beautiful backyard to its fullest potential. I would recommend this property looking for a little extra room in a great location in Natchez. We will return soon!
Wonderful time, home away from home is perfect to describe it. Will be our annual girls weekend trip.
The Isabella house is a great place to enjoy relaxation and peace. It's located close to downtown and Natchez attractions. I recommend this place to anyone. The owner was more than helpful and made my wife and I feel invited and at home.
