Located within the sounds of woodland nature, wild flowers and quiet serentity, the tree house is enjoyed by adults and kids alike. Great way to spend quiet time with loved ones! Primitive treehouse takes you back to nature and a bygone era of lanterns and outhouses.
My dream to own a tree house now includes my desire to share it with others. I enjoy meeting people, especially those guests who bring their grandchildren. We share a fire on our patio, serving the best S'mores! My unique story of how it came to be is shared, along with the visits from CBS Nightly news and Jason Davis, On the Road...Unusual places to stay.
Joyce LaVoie purchased this cabin in 2003
Our tree house lets you experience the quiet of nature, wild flowers and wild life. We have a variety of books, games and stories we share with our visitors. That special bottle of wine, when empty, gets a reserved spot in the outhouse decor. Along with a special cork placement
Your trip Up North takes only two and a half hours from the metro area, is easy to find and offers unique Amish shops, antique shops, and local Mennonite grocery and meat selections of the finest around.
Your free 'Go Out on A Limb' t-shirt allows you to share that you stayed overnight in a tree house. It's crazy where they show up.
The Tree House attracted us because it was so unique, but it charmed us because Joyce and Richard have put so much love and care into making it a comfortable, restorative vacation spot. I can't credit them for the perfect weather we had, but the nightly bird serenades and the lack of mosquitoes were part of the plan.
Joyce has a wonderful spot and does and excellent job of making you feel welcome! The treehouse was warm and inviting when we arrived with a bottle of wine on the table. The setting was beautiful with total peace and quiet and the best view of the stars I have seen. Breakfast in the morning was very good and brought right to us! This is a wonderful experience destination!
The treehouse was like a home away from home. Joyce and Richard were so kind and informative. They put in such lovely touches and helped to make our stay an unforgettable one. It was truly a unique and fun experience!
My 2 sisters and myself decided to go away for a night and do something different. WOW, this was it!!! Truly unique and enjoyable….just what we were looking for. Joyce, the owner is delightful and makes you feel very welcome and special. We had the opportunity to visit a little that evening and found her very interesting and full of talents. The breakfast in the morning was served to us and very tasty. The only reason I hesitated giving this a 5 was no running water and then I remembered …It is a tree house….they don't typically have running water. Joyce makes up for this in several ways. Fun Adventure!!!!! Plus some REAL fun places close by to eat and see.
Enjoy wildflowers and wild life in a pristine wooded acreage located near the Long Prairie River. Quiet, primitive one-room treehouse. Weekend movies at one of the Minnesota's only drive-in theaters!
