About the property

Lovely Two Bedroom House Located five Minutes Walk From Northfields Tube

Orchards is located on the corner of Northcroft Road with the front entrance situated on Altenburg Avenue in Northfields, West Ealing - a perfect location for direct easy access to and from Heathrow Airport on the Piccadilly Line tube and also great access to popular tourist spots across the capital.

The house is extremely well presented in a traditional style with delightful antique furnishings yet it has an eclectic twist. Downstairs is the very charming and relaxing sitting room with large comfortable sofa and two armchairs and an imposing fire place with a decorative wooden mantelpiece. Cleverly placed lamps and wall lights create a soft ambiance in this room in the evenings. Through the hallway to an equally delightful dining room with an extendable dining table and four dining chairs. Curtained off from the dining room is the well equipped and spacious country-style kitchen offering everything you would need for either a swift breakfast or for entertaining friends and family. Next to the kitchen is the sunny breakfast room with a small table and chairs and not only is this room great for breakfast but perfect for drinks in the evening before dinner or a cozy night cap ! French doors from the kitchen lead to the colourful and pretty courtyard garden full of shrubs, plants and pots with various seasonal flowers plus a garden table with sun umbrella and chairs.

Upstairs is a good size master bedroom decorated in soothing pastel shades with a double bed and a large oak wardrobe and chest of drawers. On the landing and between the two bedrooms is the floral decorated bathroom with small bath and overhead power shower, WC and basin. The second bedroom has two good single beds a large oak wardrobe.

We thorough recommend Orchards for its location and unique traditional style.

Warm & relaxed home

  • 4 of 5

This was the perfect house for our Family Christmas Holiday. The owner very kindly decorated the house with decorations so that we felt even more at home. It was the best equipped kitchen we have ever stayed in with everything that you needed. Location is perfect a five minute walk to Northfields Avenue where you have lots of grocery stores, restaurants & cafe. Layout of the house was perfect having a separate sitting room was great for relaxing. The manager Vanessa was helpful & nothing was an issue. Would recommend this house for any family reunion. My elderly parents found it like home very comfortable, warm & cosy which was very important for us. Would definitely rent this property again for another visit.

Orchards, located in Northfields, West Ealing in West London is a delightful two bedroom Edwardian corner house as part of a development built at the turn of the last century on farmland once covered by orchards for supplying London markets. Now a comfortable but eclectic 'home from home' in an area recently designated a Heritage Zone. Only a 5 minute walk to Northfields Tube Station with the Piccadilly line and 30 minutes in one direction to Heathrow Airport and 30 minutes in the other direction to major tourist attractions such as Harrods in Knightsbridge and South Kensington where many of the famous museums are located. Northfields offers an amazing range of good cafes, restaurants, shops ad supermarkets. The main shopping area is Ealing Broadway for Banks, Post Office etc. and the Central Line underground station. This fast line goes from West London through Central London (Oxford Circus) to the East End of London. (New Crossrail will pass through Ealing Broadway and completion is due in mid 2018). Ealing Broadway is reached by a 5 minute ride on the E2 bus taken from opposite Tesco on Northfield Avenue or a 20 minute walk through two beautiful parks - Lammas and Walpole. Walpole House (free of charge) is worth a visit as is the Art Gallery next door. Another short ride on the E3 bus also taken from Northfield Avenue transports those who like walking to enjoy a river waterfront pathway with beautiful houses and pubs for food and drink (The 'Black Horse' is especially welcoming with fireside armchairs and an open fire). Reaching Hammersmith Bridge on this walk, take the Piccadilly Line tube for a return underground train back to Northfields. Orchards has much to offer - direct access to Central London and Heathrow or a relaxing city suburb experience with National Trust Houses, Kew Gardens, The Public Records Office, Richmond, Hampton Court and parks within easy reach.
